The background looks great ;D!

But, since you want us to nitpick it :P:
It is nighttime, but how come the snow is so light, judging from the shadows, the lightsource is the moon, but it's partially covered with a cloud, and it's not even full moon. Also the side of the chimney is shadowed, but the roof under it isn't.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

I agree with Andail and Privateer, this shouldn't be a competition, but a way to improve ourselfs and if someone makes a tutorial along the way, even better.

QuoteBasically you may change it however you like, alter the style or remove parts. Just colour it or make a brand new piece of art.
I guess so.

When I pronounce GUI it sounds like gooey.

Look, when you choose save as... in mspaint you can select monochrome  bitmap, 16 color bitmap, 256 color bitmap, etc.

So, you want to make a 320x240, 256color image.
You open mspaint, under the image menu you select attributes and you convert the resolution to 320x 240 and select ok. Now you choose save as..., choose the name for the image and from the menu select 256 color bitmap and choose save. That's it.

Maybe you could make his coat a pixel shorter, so it doesn't reach the ground.

Looks good.
There's something about his left arm, try moving it inside a bit and make it as long as his right arm.

Looks good. Here's what you can improve:
His face is detailed but his hands and body are not, draw fingers, butons or logo on the shirt, pockets on the pants, etc.

Is the character always going to have his sword pulled out, or is there going to be some kind of  fight mode?

General Discussion / Mac problems...
Mon 12/04/2004 09:34:58
I recently got a Mac powerbook (old model, no cd) with screwed software, and i found some Startup disks and OS stuff on the net using my com, but i can't use it on the Mac laptop because the disket has to be Mac formatted.
I was wondering is there's some program for windows that can format the disk so I can use it on mac?
