I'm sorry. I reacted like a git, and now I feel stupid  :-[. I know what you mean Nacho, just forget it all.

But Adam Sandler is crap.

You seem to be a bit dare to criticise some aspects of Indy' s movies DanielH... This is crap, this guy must to have a lobotomy to do that... How may films have you directed, Daniel? Are you Sidney Pollack' s re-incarnation, or something?

::) Apparently only masterful directors are allowed opinions. Hm. I'll edit my statement to please you, your majesty.

Disregard.

I love Shortround but he and Willie yell Indiana's name every other half second.   Willie was the worst casting done in any of these movies, no wonder since Spielberg thought he'd go and marry her.

I agree- Shortround was Okay, really, but I can't stand Willie. She's incredibly annoying- not just bad casting, she's a bad character, whoever came up with her character and thought 'that's fantastic character development' probably had a Lobotomy shortly beforehand. The character Willie ruins the entire movie for me. Rant over.

Disregard that, Temple of doom is the single greatest masterpiece ever to hit my eyes and I want to inject it into my veins. Only Film Directors are allowed to criticize films, so I'm retracting my statement and replacing it with a nicer one, just for Nacho's pleasure.

No, Disregard that.

Really good, actually. Although the sprite seems quite big, what res do you plan to put him in? Because if he's going in a game, he needs to be scaled down.

I liked the new film, but not as much as Last crusade or Raiders. It beats Temple of doom hands down though, which is a piece of crap compared to the others.

Conclusion:
(indy films in order of how good they are)

1. Indiana Jones and the last crusade
2. Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark
3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull
4. Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Plot write-up
Tue 20/05/2008 17:59:43
Game makers... I've got an Idea for my plot, but I want to write it up neat and tidy, so I can keep track of it. How did you (if at all) write the plot? Is there a technique which works best for you or did you just jot it down as it came to you?
#147
You're right. It's a pathetic idea really. It's just every idea I come up with just collapses. You know, like it sounds great before you go to sleep but when you wake up it's shite. Truth be told, I've been trying to come up with one decent Idea for a month, i guess it's time to give up.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Quick Question
Mon 31/03/2008 19:41:47
I'm really stuck on ideas, but i'm thinking of doing a star wars game, but it just makes fun of everything star wars is.

(replace Star Wars with James Bond, Harry Potter etc.)

Question: Would you play it?

Hey skitzo, http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Straight_Line/ Shows how to do straight lines. www.gimp.org has some other tutorials, and check out gimpology.com, which has a load more.

Also, the bottom part of the seat of the stool looks to flat to me, should be rounded more.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Cliché

My games' plot revolves around someone who escaped a hostage situation in a hotel, and the captors took some of the captives to  an unknown location. He obviously has to save them. Too clichéd?

Edit: One of the captives is his mother. Sorry I forgot to mention it, it is kind of important.

Mandarb, glad you see things the way I do... religion never helps... ever. Most wars have a religious cause, and personally, I hate it's existence. Not individual religions, all of them.

I was wondering... do You game creators play your own games when they're done? Because I think (by the time I've been through months/years of poring over my game) I would be comletely sick of them... is this true?
#153
Now i'm just wondering who'll be the first here to make a
Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull: A graphic adventure. :D

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Locked room...
Fri 15/02/2008 18:48:02
I'm writing up all the puzzles and the plot for my new game, and In one scene, the protagonist is tied and locked in a room. I swore blind when starting this project there would not be a locked room scene, but what do you guys think? Too cliched?  :-\

As I see the CoS (or Church of $cientology as anon calls it) It cannot be a religion because you have to pay. I feel a little scared terrified thinking in today's world, you have to pay to believe something.

i think that if a friend of your protagonist is a police officer, you have no problems  ::)

Strangely, that is exactly the situation my protagonist is in.

Now I'm DanielH, Real name, Daniel John Hurton.

*I Still am EricHalfBee, If you ever play Age of empires 3 online, drop me a line.

Without disclosing any spoilers:

It's a REALLY serious crime, ongoing (as in, happened earlier that day) and already being researched by the police. It's not as a hobby, the crime is *plays dramatic music* personal. Probably illegal, as I thought, but I would prefer some specifics.

General Discussion / I need to know the law.
Fri 15/02/2008 00:46:23
My game is set in Britain, and I need to know the law concerning civilians solving crimes... legal or illegal? I'm from Britain but I am surprisingly uneducated concerning civilians and crime fighting. Do any of you know?
#160
It can't be a spoiler if it's in the trailer, can it?  ???
