I use powerdvd I think it runs pretty good. But I got the new one. Powerdvd 9.
VLC is good free software for sure the best i think is Nero showtime. Extremely simple and good quality

Sounds like bad power settings unless your saying it freezes.

If it freezes then does Powerdvd freeze. Or the whole pc.

Just out of curiosity if you set the color to transparency what color does it go in AGS?

EDIT: I am sure certain formats don't support transparency.

Maybe you should set a transparency in Photoshop. I think in edit or something there is an option set color to transparency that should work then Instead of magic pink. Just as one solution

I had a problem with windows 7 same as ShiverMeSideways on XP. with windows starting with no interface or desktop icons. Safe mode didn't work even windows 7 system tools couldn't help. My software is genuine  But I gave up and just reinstalled windows. All my programs and games are on discs so I don't care about reinstalling.

I can agree with monkey cause I had 5kbps-8kbps a second on vista. now I have 2kbps - 5kbps on windows 7. 

But besides that. all my games work so it so not that bad.

Oh i just re read through is this video for AGS i thought it for a trailer or something sorry not thinking today. . 25fps is maybe safer for performance. anything more will kinda struggle on laptops I think unless like you said it will be in 640x480 then you might get away with more like 30fps.

But I have to be honest I can never see a difference in 5 frames per second.

I have never heard of .ogg myself either but if it doesn't work with windows media player I don't think .ogg should be an option but that is my opinion.


Ali might be right about 25 frames but I cant really confirm on that I have lots of videos that are 24 frames and I don't see a problem But anyway why argue about one frame.

Well I know what you talking about with marijuana cause well where I live marijuana is like a cigarette ( Not that i smoke). Most people I know who smoke it say it helps with stress and relaxing.

Meditation is just the best way for most people cause not everyone thinks I have a migraine let me smoke some ganja. if you know what I mean.

anyway all i am saying is that is what worked for me.

What else could migraines be caused by. but stress. I don't vomit or lose eye sight. I get like a white light on usually on my left eye for about 5 minutes of a day. And the pain is completely on one side of my face and is sometimes unbearable. And is always sensitive to light. I am pretty sure it is a migraine cause my doctor gave me migraine pills but that was like 4 years ago.

Like marijuana. meditation it is just to relax.

Edit: Also I get headaches all the time so I do know the difference. caused from thinking a lot.

My advice still is meditation cause mostly headaches and migraines are triggered from stress and thinking too much.
I was years ago suffering from migraines quite often like 1-2 a month. Now I suffer maybe 1 every 2 years or so.

(it is natural free and easy also you don't become dependent on anything.)

.mpeg is the best i think. for size and it works with windows media player and quality. Or .mp4

This sounds like a new program in the startup. Go to start- run then type msconfig go to startup and see if something unusual is starting. Most programs don't require starting with windows.

But this is only if you know what you are doing . or what programs are meant to run.

The best way to do that is the door opens when the player get close to the door but the player still has to click on the door. it just is better i think. then when the doors stop working which is scripting you just say if player done whatever  You just say player.say ("door won't open"). Else door opens
