QuoteOr have it brought to life

Damn, my vague idea is already taken. :P Basicly that's the story, it gets life... and then you, as the scarecrow, need to figure out how to not be alive anymore...
It kind of sounds like EVERYONE has had the same idea. (laugh)

Sounds like this is shaping up to be one very interesting MAGS. :-D

That red and white flowery dress on that woman looks very familiar.
But I can't recall the film.

@Dan. What's the title of the Joke book you mentioned?
I had one from the 70s that I found in my attic when I was 12. It must've belonged to my father. Only good thing I ever inherited from him.
I think it's called "Make Them Laugh".
I'd have to look though to be sure. It's currently stored away in the attic, and I don't want to go around searching for it.
It's a red book though, in one of those awesome classic book covers. It's got one of those smiling masks in gold foil on the front.

If you're interested, you may PM me, and we can try to work out something together.

Well that might be a bit difficult. I'm planning on participating in the current MAGS. But if I remember next month, I might.

Thank you, I love your idea as well!!! It could also be interesting to combine "classical" 1990s-style adventure and Fahrenheit/Heavy Rain-style interactive drama.

I had an idea somewhat similar to yours which involves an unreliable narrator, inspired by the movies "Mulholland Drive", "Lost Highway", "Secret Window", "Usual Suspects", etc., with the two parts of the game telling the same story from the perspectives of two different characters. The first part of the game would be something very cartoonish/comic in the vein of DOTT or CMI, with an "adorably geeky" protagonist like Guybrush or Bernard Bernoulli and his humorous adventures (maybe with some surreal stuff, i. e. aliens, magic, time travel, etc.) The second part of the game would be told from the perspective of another character, with a darker and more realistic style and maybe different gameplay mechanics (think Darkseed), the guy from the first part would be the villain, and it would be revealed that his story from Part 1 was either his delusion or he deliberately made it up. For instance, in the first part he could be telling his story at a police station, implying that he was just an innocent bystander, and the second part would be from the perspective of a police detective, and the "adorably geeky" guy would be the criminal the detective is after.

That would be awesome. It would be like getting hearing a story from Moriarty, then from Sherlock Holmes.

The thing that bugs me about it is how he has to spell out the subtext.  Subtext shouldn't need to be made a part of the telling of the story.
Yeah it's really basic “we shouldn't judge people by the colour of their skin” stuff that while I admit some people seem like they need reminding. But if you're old enough to have a Facebook account and still have to be reminded about that then you are beyond help.
Introducing skin colour into a joke or a story, when it doesn't need to be there, almost always ruins the joke or story.
I've got a very old joke book (from the late 1800 I think). 90% of the jokes are racist jokes. Of those racist jokes, 80% of them, I've read in modern joke books without the racist undertones. The modern versions of those jokes are a lot better, because they don't add needless fluff that distracts from the jokes.

It's kind of funny that we've been telling the same jokes for hundreds of years though. (laugh)

Hey, no shit-talking Howard the Duck.  :=
If it helps, I actually like the 3 movies I mentioned. And Howard the Duck is sitting on a shelf next to my X-Men movies.
Well to be honest, I like Howard the Duck as well. At least the first half. I've never watched the others you mentioned.

Now dayowlron, could you please get us back on topic. :-D

I'm still waiting for a reboot of Howard the Duck. I know the original movie flopped hard, and is globally disliked. But that's exactly WHY we need a good Howard the Duck movie. Fantastic Four has had four terrible movies, and people still want a decent Disney reboot of that. Why not Howard the Duck as well?

Lets not forget VR has been around since the 80s, but its practicalities had to wait for today's tech, VR has been patiently waiting for over 30 years. My definition of a fad is something that is new, comes then goes just as quick never to be seen again.
I would like to point out that 3D movies has been around since the 50s, it came back during the 80s, and again in the 10s. I suspect it'll make another come back in the 40s. With that being said, I would definitely call 3D a fad, and I also think VR is in the same boat. It'll die, only to come back again with everyone saying "It's not a fad this time! This time it's going to take off!"

But only time will tell. It's certainly lasting longer than I thought it would. But so did the latest 3D movie fad, and that finally died off a few years ago. :-D

I'm honestly not sure if I made it through the 2nd. So, nope. Sure, I own the first 3 movies, but that's only because they came on collection with all of the Puppet Master movies at the time.
Ok, just for the record, it's the fourth movie "Killjoy Goes To Hell". And trust me, the fourth movie is actually a decent movie (unlike the previous three) and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a dark comedy.

Hmm... The Rocky Horror Show?

You got it!
Bonus points if you can guess the specific film in the franchise.

Nope. I've never even used VR. Although I would like to one day. (nod)
I still believe this whole VR thing is just a fad though, much like motion controls were. It's just that nothing beats sitting on your ass pressing buttons, especially with some game genres.

For the record, I think it's that show where all of the celebrities are impersonated by a guy in a mask. As for a name, I think it sounds something like "Bam Mofo" or something ridiculous like that.

Do you mean Bo Selecta?
Yes, that's the one I meant!
Also, finally now that I know the name, I can search up the show. :-D

It's not that, but most of the characters in this show are played by the same three guys. The show is totally crazy.
Hmm... is it Psychoville?

Nope.
Also, is that an actual movie? Because it sounds awesome.

Here's another screenshot. One that should make it easy if you know the franchise.

I think I know what it is. But the thing that I think it is, is something I can never remember the name of, and can't find the name of either. >:(

But I could be wrong. For the record, I think it's that show where all of the celebrities are impersonated by a guy in a mask. As for a name, I think it sounds something like "Bam Mofo" or something ridiculous like that.

I'm probably wrong though.
