I left DA a long time ago due to troublemakers harassing me.
DA now has a storage place called Sta.sh where you can pretty much upload anything without anyone ever seeing it unless you give them a link to it. Thus no harassment. It's what I use for any pictures I upload onto here. It provides you with 2gb, and I've been using it for years and still haven't even gotten a quarter of that space full.

It's nice, and the change in colours is definitely an improvement. But the border is just a bit too plain... I think ThreeOhFour's article on maps in adventures games might help you with some inspiration: http://ben304.blogspot.co.uk/2017/04/maps-in-adventure-games.html

Thanks :D

What kind of framing do you suggest? A simple monochromatic rectangular outline?
Ooh that's a toughie.
Well if you can't add more buildings, what about more trees? Or perhaps a fancy greek looking border made from marble. These are just a few ideas, to be honest I'm not quite sure.

The Rumpus Room / Re: What grinds my gears!

What really grinds my gears is this quote from an article about The Escapists 2 "With this gameplay upgrade comes a new graphics style, making the jump from 8-bit NES style graphics to the 16-bit Super Nintendo age."
This quote grinds my gears, because anyone who has seen The Escapists 1 would know for an absolute fact, that it DID NOT HAVE 8-BIT NES GRAPHICS!!! I mean just one look at it, and you can see it uses the same style of sprites as half a dozen SNES games! Not to mention the colour depth! >:(

I'm sorry, but I'm really pulling my hair out over the stupidity in this quote.

Oh yes, that is very lovely. All it needs is some sort of better framing, and then it'll be perfect.

No TTF. I am willing to make all the special characters if the font is missing them, but no TTF.
True Type Fonts are vector fonts, so we have no control over the rendering of the font to the pixel like we have with bitmap fonts, add to this that the template is 320x200, and the font will most likely look like crap due to the lower resolution.
There are plenty of pixelart looking TTF fonts that work brilliantly with AGS. And apart from a few minor bugs with how AGS renders TTF fonts, they usually look brilliant, and are almost always indistinguishable from the bitmap fonts.

That being said, I agree with you about the whole No TTF thing. Just for different reasons. TTF fonts are harder to make and edit, and can be a little unpredictable when using them to make a pixelart looking font.

More great tracks as usual. :-D

Concept: Nixxon  The TV screen is what sets it apart from the other entries.
Playability: lorenzo  It reminds me of a room from Broken Sword 3.
Artistic Execution: Misj'  I mean just look at it, I don't think I've ever seen anything so complicated on one of these contests.

Hey, the original setting is greek, though most of the concept art presents the roman era, with some (minor) additions (laugh)
I thought it might have been Greek,
but the article you linked me to mentioned the Romans, and considering I can't fully tell the difference between their architecture,
I thought it would have been a safer bet to assume it was Roman. :-[

Baldur's Gate, or Icewind Dale?

Ah that would explain the annoying angles. Damn Romans can't build around a basic grid! (laugh)

And yes, I could definitely see the potential for an adventure game map. It could make quite a nice zoomed out view of an entire city.

I still don't get the concept of adoptables. Wouldn't people be more invested in making games, comics, stories, pictures, of their own characters? Or perhaps even popular characters which you are a fan of, from popular media?

I understand that some people aren't very good at making their own characters. But if you can't make something as simple as a character, then you're probably not going to be able to make anything for an adoptable to star in.

To me, adoptables have always seemed to go against the fundamental nature of what an OC is. If you're not choosing to make a fan-game, or a fan-fic, or something along those lines. Then clearly you want to be original. So why would you choose to instead throw that originality to the wayside and decide to make a game of something based on a character someone else made in about five minutes? It just doesn't make sense in my mind! :-\

In short, pretty please explain to mean why adoptables are such a popular thing. :-D

Also, I like your idea for a club/group on FurAffinity... even though I've never heard of FurAffinity until now.
You should do it. (nod)

I like it, but there's something about that red square shaped building that's rubbing me the wrong way. Probably because it's at a slight angle compared to the red buildings next to it, and the wall in front of it.
