Ugh, I couldn't agree more. That grinds my gears as well.

If you want to make a "strong female character", then you've already failed. If you want to make a female character but have no idea how to do it without making a boring cookie cutter character, just write a male character and swap the genders at the last minute. It worked for Ripley on Alien.

Saying that, this change obviously makes sense, and for all I know I'm the only one who dislikes the logo .

You're not the only one. I dislike it because I dislike the whole flat look that seems to be going around on logos nowadays. But I've kept my mouth shut, because no one else has mentioned it, and I know the logo needed updating after all these years.

Also, I realize I probably just dislike change. So with that in mind. I dislike the new logo, but I'm keeping an open mind and trying to welcome it.

Agreed. You would have gotten a lot more participates if you had at least announced it a day earlier.

There are so many lovely menu bars here.
And so many creative ways of handling the icons.

With how much the styles vary, it would be difficult to pick and choose icons from each one, without an artist available to restructure the icons to fit into the winning menu bar design.
But I think at this rate, it might be better to just choose a menu bar and go with that, rather than making a mish-mash of a few of them.
