Sigh... this thread needs a layman-friendly round every now and then where the walking game encyclopedias sit on their hands and just chuckle when people get it wrong...

Am I right in thinking that Amayirot Akago and Atavismus are these "walking dame encyclopedias" you speak of?

I find the discussion hard to follow because every new icon requires everyone looking at the thread to download and extract zip files. Would you mind including screenshots or similar directly in the post?

I've also been having this problem, but I thought I was the only one that wasn't really willing to download every single icon, and so I kept my mouth shut.
But seeing as I'm not the only one, I'd like to echo your statement by saying that I too would like to see some actual screenshots.

I think the game wouldn't start anymore, when the music.vox is missing.
But you could disable the music with the winsetup.exe

Ah, thanks for correcting me. I've never had to disable the music before, so I wasn't quite sure how you would go about doing that.

There is no way to add midi music from the NES version into this one? It would really make a difference playing the game 

Well I suppose you could take out the Music.VOX file to stop the default music from playing, then open up a media player and play the NES music that way.
You could even hack together your own Music.VOX file and swap it with the official one. To change the soundtracks of the various rooms.
But other than that, I don't think there's any way to do what you want. The creators clearly thought that the NES soundtrack detracted from the original game. Although personally, I think they should have included parts of it in some shape or form.

Well there is music, but very little of it.
There's mostly just ambience.
If you can hear the music that plays on the intro movie, then it should be working just fine.

This isn't an entry, just the old menu bar from an old RON template. I thought I'd post it here to serve as a nice example, since the new RON menu bar was posted on the thread that spawned this one.
It might be useful for anyone struggling to come up with ideas for icons.

Are we set with this Roger sprite? If so, then are there some additional must-have animations he should have?

Not the colour I was thinking of, but definitely more suitable.
I actually rather like this Roger. Like CaesarCub said, it sets him apart from Roger Wilco.

Though the more I see all this stuff the more I think "All this could be put in use to make some nicely updated demo games that we were talking about in another thread."

Agreed, I hope this all gets used to make that updated demo game.
