This is AWESOME!
I've even got an idea of what I could use it for...  :-D

I still need to play the first part. Now you've just given me even more of a reason to find some time to play through it.  :-D

So i started watching some videos from someone who stopped working and started as a game dev, he's doing a point and click adventure in Unity with some addon. He claims he's doing 1 screen / scene per month.

Is this typically how long it takes for one screen? I think its sounds like a really long time for one scene, 12 scenes in one year?
It depends really.
I mean, if it truly took a month to make every scene in an adventure game, all of the MAGS entries would be single screen adventure games.  (laugh)

It all depends on how detailed you make the background, how many intractable objects you code for the screen, and how complex the events are in that screen.
Also, you can't forget that you'll probably be working on multiple screens at once, constantly going back and forth as you update and revise your code and artwork.
I suppose if you were making a truly polished and professional game, all by yourself. It would take you on average of 1 month per screen. Although that month working on that screen, would be spread out across the entire development time of the game, and not done all in one go.
But for a small hobbyist adventure game like the type that I make, I'd say it's closer to 1 to 2 weeks per screen.  (nod)

It very nearly almost looks like actual pixel art. If I didn't know better, I'd think that you traced over a 3D render. That's pretty incredible.  :-D
Still a bit more room for improvement though. Most notably with those stray black pixels to the right of the door.
But that floor.  8-0 That's indistinguishable from hand drawn pixel art!

Ahem. Here's something I said in another thread, back in 2021:

So far these mutations seem to just be "more infectious"... just think if it mutates to "more deadly"? or "more infectious & more deadly"?  8-0
Here's something to think about. If it was equally as infectious, but less deadly, it would appear to be more infectious as more people would walk around without realizing that they have it, and therefore infect more people. And keep in mind that if you come down really bad or even die for that matter, you're less likely to pass it onto someone else as you'll stay in bed. So it stands to reason that mutations that are less deadly, will also be more likely to spread. Meaning as time goes by, a very infectious virus should in theory become increasingly less deadly. Or at the very least, have a longer incubation period.
Also don't forget that your body starts to build up a tolerance to it (or at the very least, those who don't die are already likely to continue to survive).

In other words. There's a reason why the common cold was so deadly to anywhere we brought it to, yet it's now considered harmless everywhere. Not to mention how plagues in the past just kind of... disappeared.

Once again though, please take all of this with a pinch of salt. And if possible, I'd rather be corrected then continue to be wrong.  :-D

Now compare this to what LimpingFish just said.

Have you been regularly testing with antigen or PCR tests? Omicron hit every member of my immediate family (tested and verified), including an older person who wasn't vaccinated, and it was really no worse than a bad cold or light flu. If we hadn't been testing, we probably wouldn't have noticed it was Covid, and not something else. I'm sure there are many instances of people, who aren't testing themselves, thinking they just have a head cold or some such.

I just want to proudly say that I managed to successfully predict that Covid would become more infectious and less deadly with each passing mutation.  :-D
Sorry, I just want to bask in getting something right for once.

Also for the record, my dad tests himself with a lateral flow test every time he gets a cold. If he caught it, I'd know. If anyone I knew caught it, I would've caught and then passed it to him, and then know. The only thing I can think of is that most of my family are asymptomatic. Which makes me feel sorry for my sister.  :-\

What grinds my gears: People that don't wash their hands after using the toilet or before eating. The amount of people I witness that use public toilets and simply walk out without taking a moment after doing their business is staggering, from a male perspective its around 8 out of 10 people which don't bother to wash their hands.
Agreed, that grinds my gears too.
People just don't have basic hygiene!  :-X

I'm from the UK and as of yet I have not have any Covid infections or Positive results...I'm 66 and apart from the usual aches and pains I'm fine...
Same goes for me, my dad, my brother, and my mother.
My sister's had it though, and so has her boyfriend. As a matter of fact, they've had it at least twice!  ???

I still have no idea how my dad never caught it though, considering his lifestyle.

I know it's been two years, but I've made an update to this game.
I've fixed a few spelling errors here and there, but the major change is the inclusion of voice acting... well, sort of.

In somewhat of an experiment, I've used a text-to-speech program called 15.ai which uses machine learning to try and create realistic text-to-speech using recorded lines from TV shows and games. When I discovered it, I thought it was awesome, and I wondered if it could carry an entire game.

So here it is. It was quite laborious and boring getting all of the lines together, and you can definitely tell it's been done by a program. But I honestly think it sounds quite nice.

Honestly, if I wanted to make a proper text adventure game in the same vein as Zork, I'd look for an Interactive Fiction game engine. There's quite a few out there with quite a bit of support. It'd probably be easier to use as well, since AGS is made with Point and Click Adventure Games in mind. But that's just my opinion.

It grinds my gears that they changed something about Milo so it's no longer possible to have a "crunchy" version with a layer of the granules floating on top. They dissolve too completely now.
For a moment I had no idea what you meant. But then I remembered a Czechoslovakian friend who introduced me to it.
It's basically just powdered chocolate right?

All game ideas seem to have been taken already  :~(
That's why I never try to think of anything original, but instead try to take inspiration from others.
I find it better to look at art in the same way as writing an academic paper. Find your sources and improve upon the foundations they've laid.

The sci-fi set looks cheap and cheesy enough for the image to be from Red Dwarf.  (laugh) I'm not sure about the monster, though.
It really does.  (nod) I'd even go so far as to say it's the episode with the Pleasure Gelf. "Camille" is the episode I'm thinking of.

The MUVE is an immersive virtual space where people, entering the space via avatars, meet and interact with one another and learn in the multi-user environment in real time.   8-)

It would be great to have a new version of AGS, to be able to create these virtual worlds but in 2d pixel art.  :-D :-D

AGS could open new horizons and evolve into something extraordinary.  8-0 8-0
That's called Habitat. It's a game made by LucasArts back on the C64. But hey, I'd be all for a remake.  (laugh)

There is an easy way to pass a TRS file through google translate.
What I do is copy the entire file and paste it into a .html file and open it, then get Google Translate to translate the entire page. Then copy that and paste it into a new TRS file and then combine it with the original TRS file using a special tool. It tends to work brilliantly. It can mess up with the special string character though, likes %s for example. But it usually works. (It's allowed me to play a whole bunch of untrasnalted Maniac Mansion Mania games)
Now if only there was a tool that could reliably extract ALL of the text from AGS games. In my experience, they ignore certain hyphenated characters, don't extract dialogs at all, and don't even work at all on some versions of AGS. Right now, the only reliable way to extract all of the text, is if it's already got a translation in it that you can decompile.
Can you share what "special tool" you use for this? This may even be interesting to the authors of the MMM games...I'm sure most wouldn't mind to see their games in English, too.
Here you go: https://vk.com/topic-17976818_41248486
Look for AGSTool. (In case you're wondering, I was specifically talking about the "Create TRS from 2x TXT" function.)

And if you ever want my collection of semi-translated MMM files, just ask and I'll send them over in a PM.

There are some 'features' which require being constantly 'jacked in', but there's no mystery in turning that sh*t off, unlike 10. MS is definitely trying to mimic MacOS with 11 in its tidy layout, but, to my delight, without strangling you. With MacOS you really have to be invested (not talking money) and super-cautious about updating (regretting Monterey due to its freaky strictures, like, can't even type a path in the location bar).
Hmm, it sounds like Windows 11 might be a solid improvement. I didn't expect that.
I personally don't like the sound of mimicking MacOS, but it's certainly better than mimicking Android (I'm looking at you Windows 8).

Thanks for the description.  :-D

Note, you may use third party tools to extract texts from the ags games and create your own TRS/TRA pair. Probably there may be also a way to pass TRS through google translate, or similar programs. This will remove the necessity of managing the camera.

I don't remember all the good dreams though that would have made fantastic movies.
Just think. What would happen to movies and video games if dreams could be recorded. That would mean instant graphics ,instant movies ,instant game ideas and more.No more working to think of  an idea it would be done in your sleep!Of course everything seems more fantastic in your sleep though.
I doubt that. Dreams tend to lack consistency and logic. I've had countless dreams where events are completely out of order, or where I've somehow known something, despite nothing indicating it being a thing. You'd have to be able to record the feelings that came with the dream as well.

I still often fly in my dreams. Last night I flew a dragon over a lake formed in the caldera of an extinct volcano in Indonesia. Incredible feelings, I must say! I'm so glad that I remember this dream
That sounds epic!  8-0

That's easy, it's Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
I pass my turn over to anyone who wants it, since I don't have any movie in mind.
