Well it's Christmas tomorrow for me, but I probably won't have time tomorrow to say this:

Yep, that's how it ends.
It's supposed to be a reference to old horror movies, and it leaves it open for a possible sequel in the future.
If you find both secret clues, you do get a tiny bit extra if you want some sort of closure, such as whether or not Crepe dies at the end.

This game doesn't have "Tycoon" in it's name, but you're on the right track.

I've never even played the game. I just remember it from that time I read about it in a book about adventure games.

I've watched that movie so many times over the years, I'd probably be able to recognize any scene from it.

But hey, the game's been released with new artwork now, so I hope you all enjoy it. 

The first screenshot hasn't changed for me yet, but I'm not sure if that's because I need to clear my internet history or the server just needs time to update. Either way, it's all done.

The Muppet Christmas Carol?

Well, that is a real bummer to hear, but I totally get it. Thank you so much for your amazing work all these years, and here's to hoping somebody can take on the task. Stepping into that virtual hall and seeing everybody gathered there was one of my favourite things about the Awards, and it would be really sad to lose that.

Well I can safely say that I won't be making that deadline I had set for myself. Although I should be finished some time next week.

That being said, the backgrounds are really starting to come along. You gotta love good old Deluxe Paint.

I've also fixed a few bugs in the game which I noticed while playtesting yesterday. Some of which were in the original version. Oopsie. 

the richest person alive

I thought Jeff Bezos was the richest person alive.

Since my last update I've made and implemented the game's new icon. I also sorted out those menu sprites, made and implemented the new music, sorted out the coordinates for everything, and implemented the new inventory icons. So a lot of progress has been made. 
I've even modified two dialog lines due to slight differences with my graphics from the originals.

I really need to playtest the game to make sure I've truly sorted out the coordinates of everything (and ensure I've not made any more inconsistencies with the new graphics).
But other than that, all I have left to do is that dithering in the backgrounds and a few alterations to the credits.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'll probably be busy doing something else on Friday, I'd say my deadline was looking promising.
