The basic idea looks cool. As Andail said, however, the picture needs a lot more to it before we can give any real C&C.

General Discussion / Re: I am now immortal.

I grew up in the 80s, so 80s horror movies were, and are still great for me.
My favourites are definitely the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Friday the 13th, Halloween 1 & 2, and my all-time favourite, The Lost Boys.

Ok. It seems we'll have to extend the competition until we start getting some entries.
The competition will run until 8 days after the first song has been submitted.
Please people, start composing!

I've had Runaway for almost 2 years now. Personally, I kinda like the game. It really reminds me of the first 2 broken sword games when it comes to graphics. My only gripe with the game is that there are many glithes in it, and the translation process wasn't fully completed (code wise) on the english release.

Might have been a bad time to start the competition, with th ATC and all, but hopefully people will start signing up.

Just a photo of me from one of our band's promo shoots.

The Photo shoot was done at a very old graveyard just outside of town.

I believe that prejudice is wrong.
Judging somebody because of their skin colour, religion, music taste or even the way they dress is a sign of ignorance. If people try to understand one another before making judgements, this world would be a far better place.
I myself have been a target of prejudice many times, since I'm a goth and an agnostic. To some people there's something very wrong with you if you do not follow the same lifestyle or religion as they do.

Just my comments....

Well, Eldkatt, here's your chance.
Round 2 has just started....

Greetings, fellow musicians. Are you ready?
Well, here it is again, the music contest continues.
The theme for this contest is as follows:

It is deep in a peaceful forest on a clear summer day. All around everything seems peaceful and serene. But unknown to the unwary traveller, a group of bandits waits, hidden in the trees, for the next mark to come by.

Any music format is permited, and there are no other additional rules to the contest. The entries will be judged on how close you get to the original idea of the theme.

Good luck to you all, and have fun!

Thanks, Developer.
I've been using 3D for about 4 years now.
Can someone please give me some feedback on the title song? I'd really appreciate it.

At least HOTU is a lot more conscious of the law. With games they know they might get in trouble with they have links to sites where you can buy the stuff. I, for one, don't see anything wrong with downloading games by companies that no longer exist. I mean, seriously, if you won't be able to do that, some really good games of yesteryear would just disappear off the face of the earth.

I have decided to trash the old dull midi and have created a new MP3 for the main title theme of Ravensmere.
You can get it at http://www.freehostz.com/darctyde/Ravens2.htm right at the bottom of the page.
Have a listen and please tell me what you think.

This includes games made in AGS.
Inside you'll find reviews of indie games, Tutorials, Previews, Short stories and gaming humour.
To take a look at our first issue, get it at http://www.freehostz.com/darctyde/arcana.htm

Critics' Lounge / Some Photoshop Wallpapers
Mon 17/01/2005 07:44:28
Hi all.
I just wanted to post some of my wallpapers I made using Photoshop and ask your opinion on them. Take note that I am a 3D artist, not 2D, so some of these might be quite horrible.

Well, let the torture begin.

This is the first PhotoShop wallpaper I made. The picture in the back is a scan from the Dungeon Hack Manual which I coloured (It was originally just a line drawing in black and white). The swords were also made in Photoshop.

This one is a wallpaper I created for our software group, Darctyde. Everything in it was done with Photoshop, no external imports.

This is Magus Mundi. I was playing around a lot with Photoshop's texture and extrude functions, as you can see. ;D

This one is one of my favorites. This is Serefea Mistborne, one of the characters from my fantasy novels I wrote. The scene was rendered in Bryce 5. The sword, Lensflare, bracer, shoulder armor, magic glow and text was done in Photoshop.

Finally, this is Spirits, a photo composition I made (I'm the ghostly figure on the right).

Well, that's it for now. I might post some more at a later date.

Regards,
Vassago.

Thanks, Candle. They are perfect!

Thanks candle. I am planning on using the snowrain plugin for a later graveyard scene. The offer for the thunder sound effects is much appreciated, and I would certainly not say no.

Hey everyone.
I'm looking for some more voice actors for Ravenmere. I currently have 3 people, but still need more people to do the remaining voices.
I'm finding it very difficult to get a female voice actor for Sarah, one of the main characters in the game, and Deanna, another important character.

Below I have some of the characters I'm looking for with their descriptions and sample texts.
If you feel you can do one or more of these, please record the sample text and PM me.
I would truly appreciate it.

Sarah - 28 year old psychic woman, very good looking. Nice voice.
Sample:(Distressed)"Alex! Where the hell are you? Something is very wrong here. If you get this message, fetch the Codex!"

Aldon Roberts - 27 year old Paranormal investigator. Sometimes a bit of a nerd.
Sample:(Determined)"I know the answer lies with those letters. And that Deanna woman? I don't trust her a bit."

Deanna - beautiful, mysterious woman of unknown age, most guess she is in her mid 20s.
Sample:(Angry)"I've told you already, I can't tell you about my mother! You'd best stay away from matters you don't understand."

Chad Willoughsby - 60 year old retired oil magnate.
Sample: "Well, I was born and raised here, and even as children we've been hearing some mighty spooky things about that old mansion."

Elizabeth Willoughsby - 58 year old wife of Chad. Very snobbish.
Sample: (Irritated)"Yes, yes yes. Those two were here asking almost as many questions as you. Now if that is all..."

Mitch Marshall - 22 year old cyber geek.
Sample: "Hey old buddy! How'd that case in London go? What was it this time? Oh yeah, that whole Werewolf terrorising the students thing?"

Chris Malvoi - 18 year old shop clerk.
Sample: (Nervous)"I didn't see them. They were definitely not at the store."

Thanks in advance.
