If we get more people coming (over the limit) there's always the option for those over the limit to get a few rooms at a hotel ... if there was 2-3 to a room it would probably be cheaper for each person than the week at the big-house!  And a lot of hotels will offer some kind of group-rate if you book a block of 3 rooms for a week.

And it's Hollywood ... there's probably a few hotels in every direction (accept east ... unless it's on a boat.  Which could be fun too)

Grundislav; the website doesn't seem to list the actual location/address!  Do you have that information?  I wanted to search for some hotels close to the area but couldn't find the address!  I'm sure there are a few (hotels) within walking distance of the house...

I think most of us probably have a game (or four) in some state sittin' on the back-burner.

I have a sequel to The Dark Crystal that I wrote (and did some graphics for) called The Song Crystal that I want to make into an adventure game.

I have some work started on the sequel to my first (very short) game called JP & Cosmo II: The Jewel of Denial.

I still have intentions of, someday in the future, working again on Rebel Spy (my first attempted game with AGS)

I have a few (many) other ideas that I'm not sharing :P

Funny, I was just thinking about Trap the other day ... wondering why he abandoned us AGSers!!

I found the Lemon Demon CD I bought 400 years ago (it seems) and said, "wow ... Trapezoid ... haven't seen him on AGS in ages!"  Now I know why.

Good for him.

I sent George Lucas an email once telling him I'd be perfect for the role of Anakin Skywalker in the prequels.

Can you believe those sons of bitches never replied!?!?!

I'm never playing Monkey Island again!!!

Quote from: DutchMarco on Mon 23/02/2009 13:56:43from what I can make of my e-ticket, my plane departs from Philadelphia and lands at 21:09 (on sat. june 29). Chances are this isn't conveniently timed for a picking-up (I think chances aren't the right word; Ir's more like very inconvenient)
It's probably, at most, a 10 to 15 minute drive (~6 miles) to the airport from the house so it's not a problem!

Okay okay ... I'm stepping in now :)

Let's get back on topic!

Dervish - if you need/want advice on the graphics please utilize the Critics Lounge for that!

As for the rest of you, let's get back on target and leave the discussion about graphics out of here!  General comments on the graphics are, of course, fine... but let's not continue the debating (in here I mean ... feel free to post in the Adventure Related or GenGen) :)

Cheers.

That's no problem ... we can leave it in here for now!  I just wanted to make sure.  Thanks for clarifying :)

If it's done ... why did you post in here?  Why not post in the Completed Board?  Do you intend to work on it further?

If not I will move this into that board...

Art direction looks interesting ...

However, please review the forum rules and update your post!  Tell a little about the game, details, story, etc.

Also ... if these are not the final "in game" screenshots perhaps you should have waited a bit before posting?  Anyway ... please update your first post!

I don't get it ...

Am I missing something?

All I'm feeling now is like I just lost 4 minutes of my life that I can't have back.

Isn't it, technically, impossible to "ignite" Jupiter?  I mean a star doesn't burn like a bon-fire.  It's sustained nuclear fusion (or something) that makes it burn.  Jupiter may be HUGE ... but I think it lacks the mass to "ignite".

Again ... I might just be missing something here.

General Discussion / Re: SNOW CATS!

Oh man ... I love snow-cats!!

Thank you for providing photographic evidence of the happiness they provoke!  I mean, just look at the joy on my, Blazej's, and Adam's faces in that last photo! (and Nacho, though you can't see his face, was I'm sure beaming from ear to ear whilst basking in the radiance of the snow cat!)

How can you not love them?

Sadly the odds of me building a snow cat are pretty much non-existent in my neck of the woods!

Quote from: Sylpher on Thu 12/02/2009 04:32:53I booked my flight, as well. I'll be landing in FLL so I will probably catch a cab to the house since it is pretty close and most people will probably be landing in MIA.

NONSENSE!!

To get to the house I have to drive past FLL.  When we find out other's flight times we'll coordinate and I'll pick anybody up who's flyin' into FLL.

I don't suppose it'd be possible to actually post the images in this thread?

I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with any links/sites that offer this kind of service but I have built one or two eCommerce sites that offer electronic download.

I'd wager what you want to look for is something that offers "electronic download" or something like that.  The sites I've built, when a person pays, they get an email with a "download link" that they can then click on to retrieve the digital file.  I make it known that they can freely share that link with family/friends and don't limit the number of times they can download (I don't waste time and/or money on copy-protection) it but I'm sure this is an option with some pre-built eCommerce solutions of this type to prevent multiple downloads/sharing.

Good luck!
