I like this much better!!

The "layered" lighting looks much better and still has that stage lighting look you wanted.  The lighter back hall looks nicer too!

I would suggest:
- making the piping a grey/silverish color (in blends too much into the ceiling) or change the ceiling's color
- make the blood on the floor (unless it's supposed to be dried blood) a more reflective reddish color
- maybe add some kind of texture to the floor.  It ... I don't know ... it just seems off somehow.  Maybe too smooth.

Good improvements!  Keep 'em coming!

Quote from: Nacho on Wed 23/01/2008 22:25:43Conspiranoic is the English version of a word that we use often in spanish skeptical communities... Not common in the rest of the world?

It might be common elsewhere ... but I've never heard it before!

I thought it was a combination of Conspiracy Theorist + Paranoid = Conspiranoid!

Either way, it's now a word in my vocabulary :)

ProgZ - it's funny 'cause I was talkin' to a friend of mine earlier and that's the same example I used with him (about Brandon Lee and The Crow).  It's not even that great of a movie (terrible acting) yet it now has this cult following 'cause of Lee's untimely death while filming.

I remember really wanting to go see it when it came out because I saw some press for the movie hypin' up how they used new computer technology to "fill in" for Lee in scenes they hadn't filmed before he died.

Quote from: Vince Twelve on Wed 23/01/2008 05:05:38In what way?

There will be press for it that will say, "See Heath Ledger's last movie before his tragic death..." or any number of other combinations of using the fact that he's dead in relationship to the movie.  I've seen it countless times before.  It's just the way it goes.

Gotcha!

Wasn't my intention ... just expressing the obvious that they would still release the movie.  That part I don't blame them for (or have shock or disgust).  Business is business.

And while I don't agree with using his death to hype the movie they will almost certainly do just that.  It's disgusting ... but they will do it.

Quote from: Vince Twelve on Wed 23/01/2008 03:27:27And of course they'll release the new Batman, movie, Darth.

I never said they wouldn't ;)  Never even entered my mind.

In fact I said nearly the same thing you did:

My version of Luigi Vampa ... some of you might know who that is.

Such a [not shocking] tragedy.  What a waste.

I just don't know why celebrities are still, in this day and age, dying of drug overdoses.  You really think people would learn.  I guess that's putting too much faith in humanity.

And of course Hollywood will still release the new Batman movie ... and they'll even use his death to hype it.  This is Hollywood we're talking about.

Called from the front, I find myself pointing a gun at the captured British spy.  As a Nazi it's my duty to kill him but I can't pull the trigger.  He's my childhood friend.  My hand trembles.  Sweat drips from my brow.  I grew up in England? How did I get here? The confusion grows...

I was working on a paint-over when Photoshop decided it wanted to blow up my computer.  So this was as far as I got:

- changed the pipe (didn't finish it along that wall top on the right)
- added hi-lights to the pipe and billboard things (Those lights are very bright and would affect these objects)
- changed the color of the blood on the wall
- altered the light effects on the main wall area

What I planned:
- lightening the shadows of the back hallway (it's VERY dark)
- continueing the pipe along the ceiling line down the wall on the right
- continueing the lighting effects on the left wall and floor (like I did on the main wall)

I know you love your ultra-high contrast shadows so I understand if you don't like the lighting effect I used on the front wall :)

What a cool idea!

As a [wildly fanatical] fan of 80's music I could go on an on ...

There's a lot of GREAT non-mainstream music of this era that I would suggest but won't.  This list should probably stick to the main-stream stuff so it's more recognizable!

Jesse's Girl is an iconic 80s song, a bit trendy perhaps, but I think required in this compilation.

Livin' on a Prayer is one of my ALL time favorite songs so kudos on that addition.

Of course you simply cannot tribute the 80's without putting Journey on the list!  I would have suggested Don't Stop Believing, Faithfully, or Separate Ways.  I think Don't Stop Believing is the best choice!

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again is such a great song.  But a piano rendition of Still of the Night could be interesting!

Between the Aerosmith you've chosen I'd go with Janie's Got a Gun (it has that unforgettable catchy opening).

I'm a huge REO fan ... but Can't Fight This Feeling is a bit slow.  How about Time for Me To Fly or maybe Don't Let Him Go (they're a bit more upbeat!)

How about:
Night Ranger - Sister Christian (great piano intro already)
John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire
Cinderella - Nobody's Fool
Europe - Final Countdown (Nic suggested Europe, but missed this 80's classic!)
Winger - Seventeen
LA Guns - Never Enough (one of my favorites though might not be well known enough!)
Poison - Talk Dirty to Me
RATT - Round and Round
Skid Row - 18 & Life (Petteri suggested Youth Gone Wild which would also work)
The Babys - Back on My Feet Again

I'm going to stop now ... I could just keep going!

What would be neat would be to put the songs into chronological order and take a tour through the 80's in one song.  I know nothing of composing music so I don't know if that's something that is possible but it sure would be cool!

Can't wait to hear this!
