The key here is if you feel unsafe.  If so, you should move to a place that doesn't feel unsafe.  The world has gone to shit, but there's still plenty of "safe" places to live.  It's all a matter of protecting your own well being (and that of your family).

If, however, your thread is on a serious note; losing is a part of life.  Get over it.  Move on.  Trust me when I say that if you let the failures prevent you from trying, you'll lose at everything.

Now this is how you should announce your game!!  Wait until you've got significant progress and then announce it.  Build some anticipation just before it's release!  Excellent.

Does Shrek motivate you to make a game with a lot of fart jokes and puerile humor?  That's all I really got out of those movies ;\.

Hah!  Actually the "environments" of Shrek are inspiring to me.  The atmosphere and the backgrounds.  I actually think, with Shrek 2, they took a step back as the scenery in Shrek was amazing (and much better)!

I watch Labyrinth. And The Dark Crystal. And after that, Nightmare Before Christmas. Don't know why, but the craftyness in these flicks always cheers me up.

Those are three movies I also watch to get inspired!!  That's great!  I also watch Galaxy Quest and Shrek ... they get me motivated.

Please find hosting (for your screenshots) that allows you to post them directly into this thread.  (there are threads throughout these forums for hosting)  This isn't a "lockable" offense though, just a courtesy so we don't have to click away to view them!

Also ... the second screenshot appears to be a menu screen?  Given the type of game I think this is okay ... but another in-game shot would be appreciated as well!

FORUM RULES

Since I'm feeling generous, I'll offer up some advice:

1) do not post in here until you have made a lot of progress on the game (IE, don't create two backgrounds and then post them)
2) if you want to recruit a team, do it in the Recruit a Team thread.
3) Most games (no real statistics here, but I'd guess around 90-95%) are never finished (get abandoned) ... so wait, be patient, make progress and then share with us.  We'll still be here.

I still see this as a potential gimmick.

They come out and say, "We can assure you this didn't come from us blah blah blah ... of course we stand by our loyal customers and would never dream of blah blah blah" and then they now have a TON of attention.

Or:

They say, "We have replaced those on the board of directors that approved this regrettable action ... blah blah blah ... and we hope their unapproved actions ... blah blah blah ... continued prosperity between us and our valued suppliers ... blah blah blah"

I'm not sayin' it's so ... Just throwin' an idea out there.  Something this blatently ignorant and completely devoid of any chance of success just seems fishy to me.
