While I would typically just move this post, this sort of "request" doesn't belong as a post in any of the boards.  If you are looking to recruit, use the ACR thread (Adventure Related Talk & Chat).

Couldn't agree more.  Just a worthless piece of drivel.  That's Dean Devlin's influence I think.  Because Emmerich by himself makes movies I like.  But when Devlin gets involved (w/ the exception of StarGate) I usually hate the movies.  (think ID4 and Godzilla)

I think it's a good idea because, as you said, dialogue is just as an important part of the game as graphics and story.

However, as Ali pointed out, I don't think it's something that should be required ... just encouraged.  Because there are already a lot of rules that, though clearly explained in the rules thread, people STILL can't seem to manage posting properly in there.

I need to update the example thread anyway (the screenshots didn't get transferred to my new server) so I can add some dialogue examples to it as well.

First off:

Bloody fantastic piece!  I only have some (tiny) issues with the lines around the "legs" area.  They seem to make the shape less smooth.  I'm not sure how to explain what I mean ... maybe less "organic" is a better way to say it?  Having said that, and considering this was done by hand in photoshop, they are almost perfect!

Secondly:

I absolutely LOVE your expected completion date.  Bravo!

The plot isn't all that original, however, it's a proven plot and is interesting none-the-less.

I was just messin' with ya man ... just because this doesn't really belong in the Critics Lounge

I've seen that guy's work before in the past, it is good stuff.  A little "unfocused" for my taste (I like detail) but it has a nice style to it and conveys nice atmosphere.

You need to work on the eyes ... they don't fit in.

The hair looks okay, but overall the shading is inconsistant.

I'd say, all and all, it's a good start, but keep at it.

And don't get discouraged by critique ... I mean, that IS what the CRITICS LOUNGE is for.  It's here to give advice on how to improve YOUR art work that YOU worked on.

Gettin' a little silly in here ...

joelphilippage - this is the "critics" lounge.  Not the "make something for me" lounge.  That's why you're being teased a little.

If you need help with something there are appropriate threads to post in (the ACR thread for example) for this kind of request.

This board is a place where you post something you've worked on for awhile and want to get some feedback on it.  Not to post something you want made.

Being a die-hard Red Wings fan I didn't really care either way.  I don't like or dislike either team any better/worse than the other. 

I thought it was nice to see Brind'amor win a cup after 17 years of trying.  Heddican too for that matter (14 years).

All in all I thought it was a great series to watch.  I'm glad it's over though ... between the NHL and the NBA finals I haven't slept much lately and my eyes have been saggin' at work the next day!

I saw to him the night before. We were at a party. The weekend hadn't really gone his way. We joked and I said "Next you're probably gonna hit a tree" and then we laughed.

I don't know if you're feeling guilt over making this statement ... but I thought I'd add that it isn't your fault.  I've dealt with suicide before (long and unrelated story) and believe me ... if it WAS suicide, you making that statement didn't make him do it.  It goes FAR deeper than that.

Other than that ... I just want to add my sympathy on your loss.  There's nothing any of us can "say" that will make the horrible range of emotions and feelings go away.  It's just one of those things you have to slog your way through, day by day.
