That's ... hilarious?  Hilarious and disturbing all at once.

One time (years ago!) I was looking at the movie ads in the newspaper and saw that the ads for Batman and Dead Poets Society were running together (black ink area) and under batman's ad (but over Dead Poets' ad) it said "Robin is amazing!"  So I thought Robin was going to be in Batman.  Imagine my disappointment.

The heat of the fire(s) melted/weakened the support structures of the building to the point that the load bearing members were no longer strong enough to support the weight of the building above them.

Perhaps we should change the name of this board from "Competitions and Activities" to "Tons of Chat oh and some competitions and activities in there somewhere completely lost in off-topic ramblings"

This is just dangerous ground ...

I'm not opposed to the ammount of skin being shown.  I'm not opposed to having a sexy female character.  I am opposed to using it just to draw attention but you say that it has something to do with the story that you won't reveal (to not spoil the game) so I will refrain from any "moral" objection I might have.

I have a female lead character in my game (see sig) and she's heavily dressed.  We play down her sexuality totally.  Yet she still comes across as sexy.  There's a fine line to be towed.

I'd say the only objection I have to the skin shown is the REDICULOUS ammount of silly / childish comments I had to delete from the GiP thread (and the objectionable ones I felt forced to leave in there)

This is pretty sweet ...

I typed in Darth Mandarb and I must say, most boring planet EVER!!  It was flat, with no water and had grey cubes sticking out of the ground :)

I was able to get some pretty interesting results with other key phrases though.  I look forward to future updates.  I think flying / faster would be good updates.  Maybe a jet-pack?  It took forever to just walk about!

Good stuff!

I'm not sure how much detail you wanted to use, so this might have gone a little too far, but here's a paint-over:

- added gradiation to the sky
- added depth/distance to the ground by blending it into darker shades
- darkened the foreground cactus

I didn't touch the stars/moon.  I thought I would need to but when I added the gradient to the sky they suddenly looked much better!

Hope it was helpful.

Whenever I see an image like this on the interweb the first thing I do, to find out if it's real, is immediately try it myself with no thought on the consequences.

I suggest you take this route, it's the fastest way to find out "Is this possible?"

This isn't a discussion thread ... you want to talk about the virtues of female leads do it in the Adventure Related Talk & Chat of the GenGen.

All further ramblings will be deleted.

Searched Google for "Pullman Car Interior".

Hope it was what you were looking for?

I read the last one as "Adolf" and was confused (read it upside down and backwards).

I haven't skateboarded in years, but these are cool.

I like the first one the best, then the last (after I realized it wasn't a hitler reference :) )

Thanks to AGA and SSH for puttin' it all together!

I would have liked to have attended the ceremony but I haven't been home in a few days.

Thanks for all the votes and congrats to the other winners!

The greatest argument for using Firefox IMO.

Noscript
Followed very closely by this one

I thought you were dead?

Oh ... and I don't use any firefox extensions.  I do use firefox.  I just don't have any extensions.

As a professional web developer looking at this I have a question.

Is this a "mockup" or have you actually put this in HTML yet?  Because, as a standard webpage, that would be VERY complex.  If you aren't familiar with complex tables, nesting tables, rowspan, colspan, etc. this could prove an impractical layout.  Even using a WYSIWYG editor.

Some Crits:
Are the "tab" areas (with the 'more...' buttons) just a homepage feature?  Because, personally, I hate have to scroll a small area to read.  I've found it much more pleasing to have larger areas for readable text.

The "bar" thing on the right (that goes under the nav buttons).  I would take out the part where it extends above into the logo graphic.  It pulls the eye up to that corner and there's nothing there.  And the bottom of the bar is kind of distracting too.  I'm all for a little bit of "techno flair" down there, but it's a little overdone.

I would suggest moving the text "MASS EFFECT" and move it up to where the "bar" now extends over the nav area, center the buttons and add a little more contrast to them.

I have a very definite style to my layouts/designs.  And who is to say my way is right?  So I'm not saying that you NEED to follow my suggestions!  I'd just thought I'd offer up the advice :)

One time I was driving and I saw this car broken down on the side of the road.  About a mile up the road I saw a guy walking on the side of the road.  He was carrying a gas can.  (I quickly deduced he ran out of gas, walked to the gas station, and was walking back now with the can ... beside the point)

Anyway ... this brilliant fellow has the gas can in one hand, and in the other?  Yeah, a cigarette.

I'm sure Darwin was rollin' over in his grave.

Super Soakers form a vaccum in the tank ... is there oxygen in a vaccum?  I'm not very knowledgeable about such things, but I seem to recall that there is no oxygen in a vaccum.

Looks pretty good, and thanks for reading the rules (a refreshing change :) )

I must say I strongly suggest posting the images elsewhere beside on your GeoShitty account.  Because, within about a day of people reading this thread, you'll exceed your bandwidth and the images won't show up (and the site will be shut down).

Search around these forums and you'll find several places to upload the images!

Good luck with the game!
