What is a Photoshop Phriday?

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images. The contest usually lasts for a fortnight. Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used. Please make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen.

The Photoshop Contest

This week's theme?

Danger Was Lurking at Brittens 2005

Take one (of the many) provided photos from the Brittens thread and create some form of danger that was just narrowly avoided.

Here is a [very quickly done] example:

Dark Stalky didn't realize there was a landshark near where he fell ...

I'm in a terrible rush and I'm leaving town on business tomorrow and won't be back until monday!Ã,  So make some good entries while I'm gone!

Good luck!

Awesome!  I haven't won one of these in awhile!

Thanks!!

I'll start a new contest right now ...

I think I should make this a sticky for "what NOT to do" ...

Since this is no longer an AGS game, locky lock locky.

Andail and Minimi ... believe me when I tell you that you are both better off NOT knowing what Bukkake is.Ã,  Were I either of you, I wouldn't investigate any further!

Yes, PayPal has a shopping cart/eCommerce system already in place that you can use.

However, I'm not sure if it's free.

They also have a pretty easy to use API which is free, but you have to have your own eCommerce set up (and know how to set up the PayPal API) in order to make it work.

Quote from: DragonRose on Wed 20/07/2005 04:27:38And I'm bumping this thread to wish MYSELF a happy 21st birthday! Yay me!

Happy Birthday to the Dragon!

And 21 to boot!  Of course ... you're Canadian ... so 21 isn't as big of a deal as it is state-side ...

But happy 21st none-the-less!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

How cool is that!?!

Quote from: Kinoko on Tue 19/07/2005 01:51:22Maybe I should just do it now before I put it off again and again and it never gets done. (It's not like I don't know what the answer will be, and yet it's still scary!)

GO FOR IT!!!

Let us know what happens[ed]!!

I would actually really like it if Sara proposed to me.

For two reasons;

I hate traditions for one, and this would certainly go against the normal guy proposes to girl fare.

Secondly, I hate the fact that I'm going to have to buy an uber-expensive ring just to get engaged.  Jewelry has never made ANY sense to me.  $3000.00 for a small shiny thing that does nothing but sit on a finger?  What's the point?

"It shows you love her."

If it takes me spending $3000.00 to show I love her; 1) I'll buy her a nice Plasma screen HDTV which she'll get FAR more use out of than a little ring and 2) I would doubt the love existed at all if it boils down to spending money to prove it.

I know I know ... I'm such a typical guy ...

AGS Games in Production / Re: Stan's Revenge 2

The first screen-shot is a title/menu screen.

You must include 2 "in-game" screenshots.

Please upload another screenshot.  If you aren't far enough in production to provide at least 2 in-game screenies you should have waited longer before posting.

Congrats on the shadows.

At first I thought it was a story about Christmas/Santa Claus ...

Then I thought it might have hookers in it ...

Then I realized it was a typo in the title!!

The graphics look pretty darn nice and the game sounds interesting!  I didn't play the Origin games, but I'll check this out anyway!

Good luck.

There's a new website out ... it's called Google

Let me provide you with a link: www.google.com

Although I don't know if you'll be able to find what you're looking for.  When I searched for "converting .mov to .avi" it only returned 132,000 results.

Alright ... back on topic.

Take the photoshop lessons into PMs and the image critiques into the Critics Lounge!

** sigh **

Once again, the rules fail to be read first.

Radiant, if you're still working on this, send me a PM to let me know and I'll unlock it.

I think the Games in Production board is fine, really.

There are probably a few things we could do to make it harder to post in there, but it's really not that difficult to moderate as it is.

If a thread breaks the rules, it gets locked.

Any sort of restrictions (other than strongly enforcing the rules) would make it too unfriendly, and that's the last thing I, or any of us I should think, want.

I'll download the demo, if you read the forum rules.

Thanks for the update.  I have unlocked the thread.

[ img ] www.webaddress.com [ /img ]  (removing the spaces, obviously)

I could only get the first one to load.

It's not bad, if a bit basic.  It lacks details (paneling, lights, shadows, dirt, dust, grime, etc.) but I'd say it's a good start.

Quote from: TerranRich on Fri 15/07/2005 17:46:32Also, did nobody see the Three Stooges movie? What's everybody's take on that one?

Well ... I was going to suggest the the three stooges be played by; Bernie Mack, Jammie Foxx, and Cuba Gooding Junior.  You know ... to keep it like the original.

But it appears they're being replaced by women instead ... I'm not too sure about it.  But the Farrelly brothers can pull it off if anybody can.  I'll go see it just 'cause it's a Farrelly bros movie.

Excellent stuff!

I dig the colors (or lack of) and agree with GG about the Burtonesque style.  Which is a very good thing.

I would love to see a game in this style!

Edit - just 'cause I dig the style, I posted them on my server for everybody's viewing pleasure!

Hollywood is going to fizzle out of my favor if they don't stop shitting out re-makes, comic books, and video-game movies.

Bleh ...

There are some movies coming out that I'm very interested in, but still ... so many of these are just crap.

Porky's, Revenge of the Nerds, Back to School, and Police Academy?  These movies don't need to be remade.  Pointless.

Another Fast & Shitty movie.  The first two sucked ... so let's make a third!!!  Great idea.  Now, once again, all the little turds down here who have sunk every penny they have into making their ugly little cars go fast can go see this movie and then think they're race-car drivers and can go out and cause many accidents.  Bang up idea!!

I'm curious to see what they do with TMNT ... I think they've run their course, but who knows.  An all CG version might have something.

Too many to go through all the crap.

Awesome job Terran!  There are actually quite a few in there I didn't know about!  (and some I wish I still didn't know about :))
