yeh Tierra imo, is better but wasn't Tierra Earth in another language?
Like Damien said, I too think it's Terra.  In the Wing Commander games the humans were called Terrans (from Earth?)

Dunno ...

I liked Tierra better ... I don't much like words like Interactive, Productions, or Development in company names.  They probably got sick of people saying, "Ha ... like Sierra ... that's clever!!"  God knows I'd get sick of that pretty darn quick!

Holy shit!!!

They caught Saddam??

I give it 2 days (tops) before the media somehow spins this into a bad thing.

And of course the U.S. isn't going to simply leave Iraq.  It's going to be admitted to the Union.  They're going to change the name of it to Bushland.

Yay capitilism!!

I am a wise and exalted flimsy piece of wood.

(I did a paper my freshman year of college about what your name means.  This was mine)

Quote from: oversizedchicken on Fri 12/12/2003 20:43:18I really hope you dont mind me using this planeometric style, its just perfect for what I'm doing. If you really do have a problem with me using your unique style then say and i could try and change my current bg's.
It's mine I tell you ... MINE!!!!  ;D

I don't mind at all!  In fact I'd love to see what others can come up using this style.  So keep me in the loop :)

are you going to tell us how you were making the walls appear/disappear?

Yes they're objects.  Each wall is an object triggered by HotSpots.

This image is with ALL objects removed and the HotSpots trigger some on and some off.  For example; when you step on the dark blue hotspot it removes the wall at the bottom of the living room but it also makes visible the wall at the top of that room.  It does both because you can enter that room from two different spots.  So if you enter that room from the den/office room, where the top wall of the living room would be gone, it will then come back on.

I'm working on a feature (as suggested earlier) to make them fade in and out.  If it slows down too much I won't use it.  I kind of like how quickly then just appear/disappear so I don't know ...

Not too bad at all!

There's something with the ear(s) that bothers me.  Maybe they're just too big?

I did a quick paint-over:

- changed the hair a little
- made the ears smaller
- changed the shading on the pants/shirt (added a light shading)
- changed the eyes/eye brows
- tweaked the hands a little
- edit oops ... added more to the breast area too!

I'm no expert ... :)  These were just things I thought could use some improvement!!

Big Brother - The character is VERY generic.  I'm going to replace him.  I've been thinking of using one of these two characters:
- or -

Haven't decided which one yet.

I used to live in Michigan ... now I'm in South Florida.

I miss the Michigan winters.

Like junc said, everything dies.

But then you get the rebirth of everything in the spring as it all starts anew.

Don't get me wrong, the weather down here is nice but I think in order to really appreciate the nice warm weather you need to go through a few months of winter.

It got down to about 60 degrees here the other day and all these thin-blooded Floridians thought it was freezing!  They were wearing coats!!!  I was walking about in short sleeves and shorts and people kept saying, "You're not from around here are you?"

It was funny.

This kid could be the new Ghyslain...
That might possibly be the worst thing I've ever seen ...

That's even worse than the 'Like A Virgin' reject from American Idol.

HOW DARE YOU!!!

Just kidding!

I guess I was mistaken.  I thought Isometric was simply "lack of perspective".

No biggie ... I just haven't come up with a name for it yet!

That rules!!!

I remember being VERY good at Mario Bros. 3 but that's just amazing!!

My friend Sara Peters and I used to call eachother (in middle school) after we got home from school and have (while on the phone) contests to see who could get through Super Mario Brothers (The first one) the fastest.

Edit
I love the Shep Smith J-Lo thing!  I laughed (on the floor) for so long after seeing that.  He's still with Fox News so obviously they thought it was funny too!

Thanks guys!

I think I'm going to go ahead and finish this up.  I might add another room (possibly 2) just to liven it up and expand it just a little.

WanderLady - I will definately be adding some animations in.  Just outta curiousity what outlet are you talking about:
QuoteThe outlet on the wall upstairs made me laugh.
and why did it make you laugh?  I'm trying to determine if I acheived humor without trying ;D

I'll post updates as I have them!  The game has been in this state (with just a few changes I made yesterday) for some time but I've been so damn busy lately!!  Darn real-world gettin' in the way of my AGS time!!

Thanks for the praise!

These are excellent!

So full of character!

The only thing I would comment on is Rolf's eyes and hair.

Are these still 'In Progress'?

I would add pupils to Rolf's eyes and some shading/detail to his hair.

I can't wait to see what you do with these!

I got an e-mail that's subject was:

"Attention: Your account (my e-mail address) will be deleted in 92 hours"

Then the e-mail iteself was for perscription Viagra online.

I guess Spam really is promoting ignorance!!

I mean, if spammers have to hide/disguise the subject line so as not to get filtered into spam, shouldn't they clue in to the fact that they're doing something wrong?

How many of you get this: v-i*@-g"r#a online!! as a subject line.  Or "Low M-O-R-T-G-A-G-E rates!!"  These moron [scumbag] spammers.

I say we set up a website that tracks down spammers.  Anybody finds a spammer we find their personal e-mail address and send them 1000 e-mails a day!!  See how they like it.

General Discussion / Re:HTML question

terran - That is the easiest way to do it.  The reason I don't do it that way is because I always have (well usually) two or more link types in my websites.  Like, 1 type that is underlined, and one that is not.

If you redefine that <a></a> tag like that, all links in the page will follow that definition and if you want a certain link to be underlined you can't have it.

Miez is right ... once you start using CSS you'll begin to wonder how you ever got on without it!  I equate it to photoshop and layers.  When layers were first introduced I hated them ... now I wonder how I ever thought that!
