Anything from "Over the Oceans" and up.

I wouldn't use "The Dawgs' Society" simply because I can't stand this popular trend going around of butchering the english language. That's just me. "The Dog's Society" wouldn't be so bad I guess.

"Fun with Guns" ... I think you'd immediately piss people off (some folk are touchy about gun stuff).

"The Criminally Insane Possi" (I think it's spelled Posse) isn't all that bad but 1) it sounds like a rap/rock group rather than a game company and 2) it's rather close to ICP (Insane Clown Posse) so that one probably wouldn't work.

I think I favor "Stunning Entertainment" to the rest. Of course, with a name like that you'd really have to release only top-notch work :)

cheers,

Pau got it with his too. But there's another way. You define a style, in the

tag area, for links like this:

You can call the .links whatever you want so you'll remember it.

Then, in your links, you do this:

Your Link Here

Using this you can also create mouseOver effects by doing this (you'd need to create the mouseOver style as well (just change the color or something))

You Link Here

Hope this helped!

Have fun!!

Not too bad! I like 'em.

The second image ... the doors stick out from the wall. It looks just a little funky.

They could use some shadows too.

Other than that they look great!

I remember watching Transformers: The Movie in theaters when it came out.

I remember being totally shocked when Spike and Bumblebee are being pulled into Unicron Spike said, "Shit, what're we gonna do now!!" And then when Robert Stack (Ultra Magnus) said, "Open ... DAMMIT open!!" I just thought it was the coolest thing to hear the swearing in a cartoon!

Then, much to my disappointment, they took out the 'shit' part when it was released on video. I was very disappointed. Thank God they put it back on the DVD! Nobody believed me that it actually said that until the DVD came out! I was vindicated!!!

I loved this cartoon. But I agree ... I think the series never recovered afterwards.

The best thing about the movie was the soundtrack. I used to listen to that sucker over and over and over.

The showdown between Prime and Megatron was bad ass "One shall stand and one shall fall!"

junc - looking back now, Soundwave sure was a contradiction. He could digitally jack into computer systems yet he used tapes!! Hah! But he was always my favorite Deceptecon. I always hated the part when Ironhide and his companions get offed 'cause the Decepties are all just standing there and the 4 Autobots don't hit Jack!

That always bugged me.

Please, please, please tell me I get to kill the guy with the white headband??

This has an interesting look, but I really want to kill the 'eminem' look-a-like.

Forgive me if that is a picture of you :)

Absolutely!

You make the Ezine just like you have been (and doing a darn fine job) and I'll just convert it over to a webpage!

Sounds like a virus to me too.

remixor is right though ... it can't be Blaster if you're on Win98 but there are plenty of other nasty little viruses out there.

Also, on a semi-related not, I heard something yesterday about Microsoft discontinueing all support for Win98. I doubt this would have anything to do with your problem ... just a heads up.

Everytime you make a .doc file for the Ezine just send it to me (or I can get it from a post like this) and I'll make an online version.

I don't mind doing it at all!

I'll even continue to host it :)

I hope this doesn't bother anybody ... I did this on my own. If this is/was a big "no-no" just tell me and I'll take this down.

But when I dl'ed the newest eZine the first thing that came to my mind was that there wasn't a place to view it online. You have to dl a .doc or a .pdf.

So I whipped this up today:

AGS Ezine #5 :: November 2003

* note: the subject says issue 6, but the cover says issue 5 ... so I made it issue 5. Wasn't sure ...

Hope this is okay, and if so, that you all like it.

I gotta agree with CMonkey on his point about Neo vs. Smith ... I was like, "Wow ... he's winning, now he's losing ... now he's winning ... rinse, repeat" It just kept happening over and over again I was getting bored.

There was FAR too much dialogue. I don't mind a verbose movie now and again but it really cut into the flow in my opinion. I think that if there was 20 minutes of boring dialogue it could have been done just as well in 5 minutes worth. And if I had to hear another "You know the answer already" line I was gonna scream. That article DG linked to said it all.

The fight for Zion was cool and I loved that general guy's screaming. I thought it was primal and really cool. Like he was just screaming bloody hell for the human cause. I thought that was pretty sweet.

The ending ...

It made me want to puke.

I was one of those fans of the original who, after seeing the second one, thought, "well ... the third one will hopefully tie up loose ends" but I was rather disappointed.

When the squeeky little fellow went runnin' back to the citadel to announce their 'glorious victory' and there were still zillions of sentinals floating 50 feet above them. I think the celebrating was a tad premature.

Rumor:
Spoiler
I read on another forum yesterday that the phone call Neo makes at the end of the first movie actually takes place after the events of the third movie. They stated a bunch of "proof" like the date on the line trace was significantly later that the date on the line trace at the beginning of the movie.

I don't know if I buy it ... but it's a little intrigueing and might make the ending better. ... Well ... maybe??

One of the big problems I have with the sequels is that I don't think Smith's character was originally going to be that big a part of the whole. I think it fell into the Urkel/Dr. Malcom syndrome. Where a character that was never intended to be a pivotal role was expanded on for audience approval. Good for Hugo Weaving ... bad for the movies overall.

I guess it just didn't feel grand enough for me.

anyway ...

This is the first AGS Ezine I've read ... it was pretty good! I like the concept of it.

What is the web page for it?

Mine is a story about a man named Jed ...

The poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed.

Then one day he was shootin' at some food, when up from the ground came a bubblin' crude.

Oil that is.

Black gold ...

... Texas Tea.

Well, the next thing you know ol' Jeds a millionaire. To his kinfolk Jed said, "Let's move away from here!" He said, "California is the place we outta be!"

So they loaded up the car and they moved to Beverly.

... Hills that is.

Swimming Pools.

Movie Stars.

Of course, if you couldn't tell that just from lookin' at my avatar I don't know what your problem is.

General Discussion / Re:Rugby World Cup

I just LOVE rugby ... two guys in body hose rolling around on a mat gettin' all sweaty and rubbing against eachother ...

Oh wait ... wrong sport.

I actually find Rugby fascinating!

I've never played it before (not too many places in the states for it) and I find it somewhat confusing! So why don't we turn this into a "Go Australia in the World Cup" thread and a "Help Darth Mandarb Understand Rugby" thread?

Any takers??

I've always wanted to try it. I love tacklin' people. We play a "Turkey Bowl" football game every Thanksgiving (coming up soon!!) and there's always at least one broken bone by game's end! And Rugby looks even rougher.

EDIT - and Americans aren't selfish at all! We just want everything for ourselves. Is that selfish? I think not.
