My sincerest apologies, I wasn't aware I was doing anything wrong. XD;

Like STILL not reading the forum rules? Incredible.

I grabbed these from images.google so I'm not sure if they're production stills or screenshots!

A vague wishy-washy hint:

The woman in the both images was almost bitten once by a dumber vampire...

Should I provide a hint?

Please add another in-game screenshot (menu screens do not count) as per the forum rules.

Thanks.

Nope and nope!

That does resemble Stalin though. If he were played by Tombstone era Kurt Russell.

Please update your first post to make sure it follows the rules or I have to lock...

Just kidding.

Looks great!  Good to see you "behind the wheel" again.
#591
I would have unlocked it...

Good luck with the kickstarter.

Congrats on reaching the kickstarter goal!

Now post an official update so we can move this back to GiP (nod)

Ummmm.... mods, are you working on this game with him or did you just break a cardinal rule here?

Seeing as how declerfayt hasn't been active in a month I'm going to lock this now!

declerfayt - if you log back in and want to post an update let me know and I'll re-open this!

A fitting way to close the thread!

markbilly - if, hopefully, you decide to pick this back up in the future let me know!  I will gladly unlock it!

A thread has been opened in the Critics Lounge
<< CRITICS LOUNGE THREAD >>
(to continue discussion of the game's demo)

If the game is as complete as you're going to make it then it's okay to put it in completed games (as a demo?).

You could always post it in the Critics Lounge if you want that kind of feedback on it!

Even Adventure Related Talk & Chat would be acceptable!

Or you could just lie to me (all of us) and tell me you've changed your mind and the game is back in production. (wrong)

I unlocked this in high spirits thinking it was back in production. Shame. Since it is not, technically,  in production this must be locked again though :(  I'll leave it pen for a day or two so people can pay their respects.

While there is very little chance I'd be able to go this year :~( I can offer up some advice (as I've been to DR a few times and all throughout the rest of the Caribbean).

Punta Cana (DR) is AMAZING.  You will, however, play 5x as much for that amazing-ness.

Santo Domingo (DR) is pretty nice (not as great as Punta Cana) and the prices are much lower.  Flights into Santo Domingo are probably the cheapest you'll find (flying into Puerto Plata is 3x as expensive). It's a very nice and safe (as long as you don't wander out of the Colonial Zone) touristy type place.

Cancun is also a really cool (safe) place.  It is VERY touristy though.  It does have the added benefit of "excursions" you can do since it's not an island.

Some other places I've been that are very nice:

  • Roatan, Honduras - this is a small island (maybe not too many side-quests to embark on), but is very nice
  • Saint Martin (Sint Maarten) - again, a small island but loaded with things to do
  • St. Lucia - I love this place but it is pretty expensive
  • Ocho Rios, Jamaica - better than Kingston.  Very touristy but lots of neat things to do (like climbing Dunn's River Falls)
  • Belize City, Belize - this place is nice (as long as you stay in the main area) but there are a HUGE amount of "excursions" (including Mayan ruins) available

I can fly into Santo Domingo (DR) for dirt-cheap so if we end up choosing that area I might (big maybe) be able to come in for the weekend.

I'm happy to pay my share for the whole week though if I can make it!

Happy hunting.

I have always preferred the old-school "turn based" mechanic!

I don't find it boring at all (perhaps a tad repetitive if you're grinding, but if you're grinding then just deal with it! (nod))

I mentioned this in Andail's thread (in the CL) but I have never really liked the game mechanic where you "level up" as you play and that the bad guys get harder/stronger as you progress.

It's always felt so unnatural to me. Why wouldn't the main bad guy just send the toughest baddies he has after you right from the start? Instead he sends his "equal" minions after you every step of the way letting you learn, grow and level up so that, by the time you reach him, you've learned/grown enough to defeat him! It makes me think there's a global bad-guy conspiracy where they actually want you to win!

TLDR; I don't think there's anything boring about the turn-based mechanic!
