I was extremely disappointed in the Hulk.

After about 55 minutes of boring dialogue and weak character development I leaned over to my date and politely asked, "Isn't this movie called The Hulk?"  Where the hell was the hulk?

Now the CG of the hulk was top notch (except for his pants ... they looked stupid).  The hair, eyes, and especially the muscles, looked amazing.  But, in my opinion, the story was weak, the acting was okay by some, the special effects were (for the most part) great, but in the end ... the movie was frickin' boring!!

Jennifer Connely is stunningly beautiful, so that made it somewhat tolerable.  But, and this is no joke, if there wasn't some dumb kid sitting behind me constantly tapping his feet I might very well have fallen asleep.

I LOVE the german soldiers, officers, and doctor.

The chick is great too.  I always like the addition of a female into the story.

Sorry, the 'Female' ... don't want to offend anybody ;)

I was wondering where you had gotten to.  That stinks about scrappin' the other project.  I was really looking forward to that!

About the character ...
He looks like Brendon Frasier in the Mummy ... but that's cool.  I don't really like Brendan Frasier but I dug the character in the Mummy!

About the story ...
I think WWII is a great setting!  I'm a history major and I've studied WWII extensively ... if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask (if you're interested in historical accuracy at all).

Keep up the great work!

I think you should keep it up! The only suggestion I would make is to give the main character a nose.  Unless there's a specific reason he doesn't have one!

But I like the bigger character, I like the scrolling staircase room too!  I like the start and I think you should keep going!

DinghyDog - I know about Kyle Katarn and all that, but I'm not incorporating the EU (as such) into this.  I'm just going to use what's in the Original Movies and make up my own EU as I go.  There's just too much in the EU to tie it all together.

PS
EU = Expanded Universe

Okay ... the scene starts before teacher gets there.  Before he/she enters the boy must locate and take the remote control.  When the teacher enters all students take their seats.  Then the boy, jonesin' for some doobage, devises a plan.  He opens his lunch bag (already in inventory) and peels the cheese from his sandwhich.  Then, he distracts the teacher's attention by flicking on the TV (with the remote control).  Then, when the teacher is distracted, he throws the cheese towards her desk which causes a mouse to come out of the mouse hole in the wall.  The mouse crawls over to the cheese, under her desk and she runs screaming from the room ... then the boy can spark up his fatty!!

Farlander - I have that encyclopedia too.  It's a great reference source.  I have decided that I'm basically going to discount the EU (Expanded Universe) and just stick with what's in the movies themselves.  I am a fan of the EU, but I'm a bigger fan of the movies themselves.  I feel pretty confident in my story, but if I come across some point I don't know for sure I'll call on you for help :)  Thanks!

Jimi - The story is 100% complete.  I have every room/scene/act all planned out.  What points are available, what actions you can do, what items/objects you can pick up, etc.  I have very little of the game art completed.  I'm still trying to decide on the actual style I want to use for the gameplay.  Most of the art you see in this post will be for cuts scenes (they're just too big for in game stuff).

I've got the rest of this week to finish up my work (for my company ... not for Rebel Spy :) ), and then I'm headed to Florida to visit with my folks (and go on a cruise with some friends) but after the cruise I'm hanging out in FL for a few weeks where I'll have all the time in the world to work on Rebel Spy.  So in two weeks I'll be posting more stuff up here.  I've been aching to get back to working on this.

One style I was thinking of making this game is like this: Possible Style.  This would be for the big, outter areas.  (the top picture, and my characters won't look like those characters).  The individual rooms would be more side scrolling type of rooms like this: MrMasse's Reactor Room.  I think combining these two styles into one game could be very effective.

I was kind of hoping, for the next couple of weeks, that my post of 'in progress' for Rebel Spy would have stayed buried before I chose to dig it up.

I am still working on this, and will finish it, but unfortunately the real world stepped in and I got four new clients at once and am absolutely swamped with work.  But worry not my Star Wars fans!  I will finish this game!

Mats Berglinn - Thanks for the very descriptive Star Wars information ;D ;D  I wasn't planning on using Boba Fett, but you just never know who will show up!  Also, as far as aliens go I'll probably stick with what's in the original Trilogy for now.  Hutts, Twi'leks, Rodians (greedo), Hammerhead (can't think of species), etc.  But again, you never know ... I'm going to use pre-existing Star Wars music.  If LEC lawyers want to come after me they're welcome to ;D

Farlander - Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for the bit about the TIE interceptor.  I didn't even think about that!  It's my favorite imperial ship, so perhaps it will show up in the sequel to Rebel Spy :)

Thanks to all!  And of course, May the Force be with you!!

Awesome!

Yet another one room does nothing prank game!

This concept never gets old!  ;D

;D ;D ;D Don't be hatin'  I mean this in a light hearted way! ;D ;D ;D

I love it when people post 'Completed Games' in this forum, and you spend the time downloading them, installing them, playing them, and then they're the same '1 room does nothing' prank games.

It's even better when there's big words involved like 'existential', so people can't complain about it being only a one room prank game.

But great game man!  I love the original concept!  It's so ... existential I think is the word I'm looking for.

On a less smart-ass note, I do like the art of the room and the space planet (not the AGS character).  Very Space Quest-ish (which was always my favorite Adventure Game series).  Are you working on a serious game or was there something else to this that I just didn't get because I'm just not existentially inclined.

Either my 'net connection is running slow, or you win the award for slowest server of all time!

But the screens look good!  I really like the menu screen!

*eagerly awaiting a playable demo*

Xadhoom makes good suggestions (same I would have made).  As far as that the only thing I would have mentioned would be the piping ... but since you said not to comment, I shall not!

Good job!  I love bg's like this!

Did you remember to put the cover sheet on the TPS reports?

I like this actually. It's very simple, but sometimes that really works for me.  Especially if the characters are equally simple.  Maybe put some texture (or just color) to the ceiling.  The laptop looks a little wide, unless it's the 17" apple laptop!

Over all I like it ... do you have some shots of the characters that will use this environment?

Perhaps add a chair?

Outstanding!

Do me (us all really) a favor and finish this game!!

do you scan in your drawings and trace over them in a paint program?  Or do you just pixel by pixel them?  I've done it both ways before ...
