Well for what it's worth, the original broken sword is beyond any doubt my faviourite adventure game of all time. and that would not have been as good in lo-res. on the other hand, monkey island works really well in lo-res, and just wouldent have the same at higher resoloutions. so i say, to each their own, whichever works. there are however, as has been said, various practical issues which must be considered.

id love to play this game too. anybody?

i also would be very interested in the anti-speech-skip thing.

anybody know any good detective games? you know, digging through trash to find clues, gritty, dark alleyways, that kind of thing

i dident even have internet access at the time. pc gamer uk had some great adventure games on the disk. but they had also included ags v 2.70 i think  so i tried it out. 2005-6 or thereabouts, i think.

Does it have to be 32-bit color tho? theres no real point to that and it really bumps up the filesize.
#169
Do you have to make it 32-bit colour? theres really no need for it and it really adds to the filesize.

your talking about bone movement. its very popular in 3d, but not used very often in 2d. anime studio pro has support for it, and scirra construct lets you make games with it, but ive no idea how hard it is to code.

i cant get my phone to upload files... its agas fault!!

no, ags games cannot currently build to windows mobile. the only officially supported os is windows. unofficial engines exist for mac and linux are available, but since ags uses allegro, porting to non-x86 archiectures is probably impossible. i guess you never know though...

I'm still utterly and terribly confused why everyone is saying that www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk redirects to www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk and that the RSS feed at www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk wasn't working so they should use the feed at www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk but if www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk goes down they can always just go to www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk which is where www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk redirects to anyway...

:o

What?
seconded. i mean, wtf? ???

i get the feeling this is going to have a huge filesize anyway. have you got filehosting worked out? oh, and is it 16-bit or 32-bit color? looks fantastic btw, really looking forward to it!

Hmm, thing is, i can't transfer jar files to my phone, so id have to dl a z-code reader straight to my mobile, and all of those seem to require modification on a pc. anyway, zeeme wont install and i cant seem to access z2mes site due to my phones content lock. ill try again. i like quite alot of if, especially spy ones- anyone know any good ones? thanks for the help people! edit: zeeme installed!! ill see what i can do to get games on it other than the included minizork. thanks again!!

That seems to only work on linux, and it looks very difficult to use... and it seems you need to set up your own server or something. anyone know of anything else? thanks anyway!

id like to be able to play interactive fiction- or text adventures, as you may know them- on my mobile, but there doesent seem to be a j2me z-code reader. however, a while ago im sure i saw something that let you play them over irc, but i just cant find it agaim. anyone know about this? or any other way i could play if on my phone?
