just downloaded and tried it out.  Very involving!  I didn't have much time to futz with it, but rest assured I will.  Nice work.

Just downloaded and gave it a whirl.

The graphics and presentation are excellent.     However, this game has more bugs than a roach motel factory.  The story seems fun, but the game is virtually unplayable because of the GUI issues.  No matter what verb I choose, the text box always says "interact."

A shame that you lost your data files, as this game could use a lot of fine-tuning.  You might want to beta test your next game.

I don't remember the quote exactly, but it went something like:

MELT: How'd you get here so fast?
DRAKE: I used the map screen.
MELT: Map screen?Ã,  Don't you know those are bad for the environment?

It's been awhile, but I think I redrew some IG pics for "A Better Mousetrap."  I took the desert oasis and a forest picture and merged them to create a forest with a lake.  I think I might have done some others, but I don't remember.

Of course, I don't know if Mousetraps qualifies as an Insta-game anyway.

I used to spend an ungodly amount of time on the Discworld MUD when I was in college.  Sort of seems a bit silly now, in retrospect.

The reason IG was created was because people complain about not being able to make graphics easily and people always link them to RON, so I was hoping that IG would act as a secondary source for games that didn't have to take place in RON.

Oops.

Too true, Panda.  The "trickle-down" theory was one of the worst fiscal policies ever conceived of.  It was probably the the biggest contributor to our massive national debt.  At least he tried to rectify the situation once.  When his massive tax cuts were deemed as a bad idea, he increased taxes the following year.  Unlike Bush, who continues to lower taxes.

And yeah, he was extremely charismatic.  Maybe not as much as Clinton, but very close.  My favorite Regan-ism was from when he got shot, when he reportedly said: "Sorry, Nancy.  Guess I should have ducked."

General Discussion / Ronald Regan, dead at 93

The news has been on every news channel today, along with every editorialist and their cousin voicing their opinion of the man.  I usually bad-mouth the Regan years, but that is only when I view him through older and world-weary eyes.  When I was a little kid, his warm personality and easy-going maner always gave me an inexplicable sense of security.  He was the earliest U.S. president I can remember existing.  Ah well.  So long, Gipper.

If nobody else minds waiting around until 6pm, I'll be happy to wait.Ã,

On another note, I want to reserve the van early to prevent later surprises.  I will need to know how many people are coming to determine the size of the van.  So if you need a ride PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK! (june 11th).  After that, I can't guarantee there will be room for you.

Kennedy is the name of an airport, silly. :-p

And Dark Stalkey, what airport are you landing in?
#2191
Hi all,

I still need to know what time you all are arriving, and where.  I know that the brits are arriving around 2ish, but I don't know from which airport.  Send me the deets, peeps.

Neat!  Nice work there, Grundy.  You inspired me to finally get off my duff and write another review for Adventure Gamers.  It should appear on the site sometime next week.

This is strangely addictive.  Excellent work, Foz!  It's hard to believe this was made with AGS.

Ahoy Jaz and Foz!

This is some quality work.  Excellent atmosphere and some clever-if-simple puzzles.  I'd definitely like to see a full-length game with this character.  The music adds a lot to the experience - I love Miles Davis.  :-D

The only quibble is that some of the hotspots are impossible to find.  The display case lock took me a while to find.  But otherwise, great!  Short but sweet.

I know next to nothing about Pokemon, but I know enough to find this amusing.

The original pic was kind of fuzzy, so I blurred out Sam & Max's heads to compensate.

Have you been to the look-out point?  There's an area to the left of the map that you probably haven't gone to.

Lassi is one of those weird cult games.  You can't explain why they are popular.  They just are. :)

Oh boy.  A chance to play devil's advocate.

Peter, how did you respond to your mother's statement?  Did you immediately leap down her throat?  I ask because my sister constantly used to do the same thing to my mother.  My mother would say something my sister disagreed with, and sis would instantly raise her voice and go on the offensive.  My mother, naturally, would say "Why are you arguing with me?" while my sister would insist (loudly) that she wasn't.

Just curious.

Very nice, Steve.  This addresses one of the most annoying issues I have with AGS.
