I'm left-handed but find myself drawing a lot better with my mouse with my right hand. Strange.

Also, left-handed people are actually more creative than right-handed people ;)

Most ROCKY movies make me cry at the end when that music kicks in after the final round.

E.T.

Green Mile

Homeward Bound

A few episodes of ONLY FOOLS & HORSES too.

LOST has never made me cry.

I'm up North, West Yorkshire, was fast asleep, didn't hear or feel a thing, yet a little thing like a pin dropping usually wakes me up!

SERIOUS ARTISTS & VOICE ACTORS REQUIRED FOR SERIOUS GAME PROJECT

"FALLEN LEGEND"

Synopsis:
After the death of his wife, Gary Hollows takes a vacation to Greece to escape the pain and loss. He chooses Kam Island in Greece - a small, quiet island not over-populated by tourists but deep in Greek mythology.

Gary befriends a local girl, Steph Golding, on the minute Greek island. On the first night of the holiday, Gary and Steph are thrown into a mystery of epic proportions when a local girl disappears whilst swimming off the coast.

Legend has it that an island two miles away holds many dark secrets. What's even more interesting is that this island isn't on any map.

Details:
- Thriller/Horror/Adventure/Mystery
- Gary is British
- This 'other' island is to basically be a main character in the game and should be visible in most background art on Kam Island
- Steph, although a local girl, is infact from America
- The mysterious island is called 'Thanatos', meaning 'DEATH' in Greek

Jobs On Offer/Requirements:
- I need background artists who can either create realistic looking, moody backgrounds in either ink, pixels or 3D. Broken Sword-style artwork is fine.
- I need someone who can create character sprites/animation in either ink, pixels or 3D. Again, Broken Sword-style is fine.
- Both Backgrounds and characters MUST be the same medium (either 3D, pixels or ink).
- I need professional-looking backgrounds and characters.
- 640x400 Resolution (or 800x600 if you prefer this)

- I'll also need voice actors for:
  - Gary Hollows (around 35 years old, British, English)
  - Steph Golding (around 25 years old, American)

Remember, this is a serious project so only contact me if you're serious and commited to seeing this project through.

I have a demo of a totally different game here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=detail&id=989

PLEASE PM ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED.

Also, setting the fade colour to other colours (in my case, White), it also changes the bottom 'widescreen' border to that colour too (it leaves to top widescreen bar black) - it just looks very unprofessional.

I'm not wanting to move the characters I'm wanting to move an object.

I'm wanting the object to be OFFSCREEN when the screen loads and I want it to glide across off-screen to the right.

The MoveObjectDirect is now obselete and using the standard Object[1].Move won't move the object because it's not over a walkable area.
#331
Ok, so I have my object (a cloud) and I want it to appear from off the left-handside of the screen and disappear off the right. I can do this so far...well, to an extent.

The thing is, I can't have my cloud start off screen, it has to be ON screen before I can code it to move off screen. Is this because of the walkable area?

If this is the case then how can I have my cloud enter smoothly from offscreen if they can only move on walkable areas? Obviously there's no walkable area off-screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using AGS 3.0.

It appears that WALKTO doesn't interact with objects as such so I had to mess with the script, disable 'Automatically move the player in walk mode' to True and set the cursor mode to eModeWalkto once the game screen is called.

Thanks for the help though!

#333
Thanks OneDollar but even after adding the code the the gamestart section in the global script I still have to cycle through the cursors back to WALK before it'll work.

Very strange...any other suggestions?

It may be worth noting that even if I change Hotspots properties to 'OnAnyClick' it still won't work if the cursor is on WALK TO.
#334
I'm using AGS 3.0.

My walk cursor doesn't seem work unless I right-click through all my cursors back to WALK again, then it works.

I started designing my game with a blank template so is the default icon not set to WALK? I'm using one cursor design for all interation icons.

How do I set the game to automatically start by default on the WALK cursor?

I'm having a similar problem but have done what was mentioned above and it still doesn't work.

My walk cursor doesn't work unless I right-click through all my cursors back to WALK again, then it works.

How do I set the game to automatically start on the WALK cursor?

Hmmm...I downloaded it twice and both times received 'Corrupt File' messages whilst trying to extract the ZIP file.

Da_Elf, that room is amazing - if I could create something as brilliant and as beautiful as your design then I'd be very happy.

Which program did you use to design that in?

I don't really like the look of the glass above the door. It almost seems painted on? And the new location of the coach + board makes it seem less isolated and more cozy, which is why you might not want a rug. The board could've fallen of, or the couch could've fallen or been broken or dirty or something.

It's probably my own fault in the way I described it but I didn't mean isolated in the sense of it been abandoned, it IS a fully-functioning hotel but it a very remote hotel in the middle of some Greek Islands.

As for the glass above the door, it IS painted on. I went for a frosted-look with transparent text and think it worked to an extent.

I'm currently designing this on my girlfriend's laptop which has the standard integrated video chipset so that could explain the poor quality graphics. Once my own PC is fixed it should be rendered more smoothly.

Paolo, thanks for the kind words - I'm 100% commited to this game and consider myself a bit of a perfectionist so it's very important I get everything right :)

I've updated the design a bit more and have included a rug asmentioned above - I'll upload it shortly.

Cheers guys!

Thanks people, much appreciated :)

How do you think it looks now I've lowered the light strengths, made the ceiling higher, and added some more items?
