So one of my ideas for future RON projects down the line is the introduction to the series of one of my RP characters, Jules. Recently I've been trying to kickstart the writing side of my brain, and in doing so I've commenced a Myst/Uru style journal broken up with Homestuck-esque chatlogs, set in RON.

Timeframe is present day, with gaps to allow references for new games set around their respective times. I'm hoping to go back and do entries for earlier dates at some point to transcribe events set in (hopeful) new games.

Link.

Many thanks to BSP for the awesome upgrade to the avvie. This one's a keeper.

Huzzah!

Also, does anyone have any tips on making the background transparent?

Verily, thus and so.

I find Compatability Mode on Windows 7 and above works quite nicely on getting the older games to run if you have any further problems.

Ha! Love it! Can't wait to give it a go.

Project:
Lunchtime of the Damned - A reconstruction of the first game in the Reality on the Norm series.

Details:
Recently there's been a bit of a push to get a number of the older RON games upgraded with the new assets to work on modern comps. I'm currently tackling the first game in the series, originally created by Yahtzee back in 2001. The game currently stands at about 90% complete and is playable from start to finish.

Positions Available:
I'm looking for a sprite animator to do several unique animations for the game. 320 x 200 resolution, all based on currently existing RON sprites and backgrounds. Looking at maybe 2-3 short sequences overall.

Deadline:
None, although it would be cool to get the game out sometime in January.

Comments:
Interested parties can respond to this thread or PM.

This is a collection of articles on the RON wiki that currently exist in a "reasonably done" state. That's not to suggest there isn't more that can be added to them and if you are so inclined then please do so, but it's possible to read these particular entries and get a more-or-less informed idea of whatever it is they are all about.

Your meticulous collecting of each and every version is admirable! It's happymaking to know that someone somewhere is keeping guard of a little piece of gaming history.

Thought it would be helpful to put a list of music resources together for people wanting to make use of the most recent RON arrangements. I'll be updating this as we go along, so feel free to post anything you want included below and I'll add a link.

Wiki Update - Every submitted game (excluding demos and Virtual Resources) now has their own individual page.

Milestone Update - The RON Wiki just hit 50 pages in various stages of completion.

I've already slipped a reference to the events of this story into the remaster of Lunchtime of the Damned I'm working on. I've half a mind to go back to The Underworld at some point and, along with adding the new graphics, making what happened between Frank and Fred in it the proper reason for their feud.

Assuming of course Kunafits isn't still around and objects to me taking further liberties with his original game...

Bear in mind that was something I added last night on the fly because there isnt an explanation on the first post of this thread. As a definition of the catagory it's still very much open to discussion at this point.

HELLO CANON MY OLD FRIEND...

So now we've got ourselves the making of a wiki, I sense the perfect chance to implement these labels we decided upon so long ago. I'll be going through the entries and catagorising them as "Canon", "Stand-Alone", "Non-Canon" etc, and adding the appropriate explanation to their respective pages.

At some point we're going to need to decide where the most recently released games fall into. Time to rev up the discussion and hash this out amongst us all.

TBH I find the Visual Editor a bit of a grind. I find it useful for links and adding the episode template, but for everything else I use the Classic Editor.

For images, I downloaded the pics from the RON site to my system and uploaded them.

Looking good! I'm sure any additional categories we'll need we'll work out as and when we do the others and retroactively apply. For now, I think it's a good format to follow.

For characters, I think it would be handy to have their External Links section have a link to their individual .cha file, for ease of people acquiring if they decide to make use of a character after reading their article.

22 pages so far. Not a bad start at all.

Nice one. I've made a start on the Lunchtime of the Damned page, there's a format taking shape that can be applied to the other game pages (although I think a "Connections to Other Games" section would be exceedingly useful").

EDIT - first article completed.
