Haha....I had a bit of fun with this one....It reminds me of those old corny Looney Tunes, where they unwillingly walk into some giant monster's mouth cause it looks like something else....this one is rather poorly disguised. Haha.....

Don't mind me, I'm just being strange...

The one I'm posting is a still picture, but there's a rather large animated one that I'll post a link to. it's 1.3 MB or something like that....so you with better connections....

and here's the link to the animated one:

Spoiler
Remember all the corridors/rooms, where either the welder appeared or didn't appear? It's like that. Once you've retracted the spikes, just keep going back and forth up the steps until the Welder DOES appear. When he does, lure him onto the center of the square (it could take a few tries) and it will skewer him.

PS: Oh, and to Viktor....

The first thing I saw when I looked at "Somerset" was "hey, he kind of looks a bit like Trilby. Maybe a descendant." Heh.

But....

Spoiler

I'm still not totally satisfied. I mean, what really was the POINT of having him be not who he said he was? I would have been satisfied if they just took him away cause he was the only one left. That makes more sense. A LOT more sense. Meh.

I agree. There are several bugs...

But I'm stuck.

Spoiler
where do I find William's key? If I go back and talk to Adam, it does that bug where he talks about the letter...so where exactly IS the key?

if you're into more professional music, try Finale. It's amazing. Note by note entry on staves, but it's got so many little tricks to it...and you can make really professional sheet music. Heh.

But Cakewalk roxorz. I had a really old old version once. It was cool.

MPEG-1 can be great, all the shows I record on my computer (I have a splitter for my cable internet that plugs into a co-axial port on the back of my VAIO...heh) turn out pretty low for video standards. 15 minutes is 180 or so megabytes, and then if you compress them with one program or another, they're still good quality and can be really useful.

Well, if the code still calls for a sprite that you deleted earlier, it will look for it, and then find it gone, thus producing the error, in theory.

Shaving is...ah, I don't care either way about it. I'm 15 and on a "every 3 days" kind of thing. Meh. It's a part of life. I don't mind it.

Well, I thought a few of you knew...oh well. CJ is the mite-ey kree-ay-tohr.

I like him better with a mouth.

And yes, you rock. I might add one thing, on the new version on the 13 man, it looks like there's heavy shading on the shirt, coming from the relative northwest area of the picture, but the shading on the head shows it coming more from a north perspective. My only nitpick.

Try reinstalling the newest version. That's all I can say.

And maybe one of the tech gurus can figure out what the error message actually means.

Ah. Getting tricky with it, I see...sheesh, that's insanely cool. I'll never be as good of an artist as half the peeps on this board. Oh well, I'll stick with my strange green sliding glass doors and hijacked sprites.

Layers in photoshop are like separate images. When you view them all, it shows them in the space of one image, as in piling them on top of each other, and the layers that are higher on the list take precedent in the z-index (as in, above the ones below it). You can edit individual layers, make some of them, say, 50 percent transparant, or 20, or something. Here's an example.

Hastily made, I know, but you get the point. It's just a green sliding door, but it's about 50% transparent. See?

Most of photoshop work is messing around with the tools/filters/stuff and seeing what happens. I use noise a lot for concrete, and grain for wood, and all sorts of good gimmicks. I think what they were talking about, is to use transparency in conjunction with outlining all the important lines to get rid of the blurryness effect. If you don't make the lines really opaque, you can get away with it.
