Thanks ProgZ :D your support means a lot to us.

What I would like to incorporate in the next game are more "motif" type sounds like the Original series had and an Animated series-ish "fanfare" type sound that is unique to Newton. The next one is looking a bit longer so more music would be essential. Neither Tier nor I are great composers so just looked up a few loops to fill in :P.

Thanks as well to Leon for spotting all that stuff we missed, and to everyone else who has played so far. I hope you all enjoy it.

I'm really excited to get the animation list for the next game :D

I've just joined up with this today, but it was for having signed up for the updates on the website so dunno if it's just the next step for release or not. Anyways, this thing looks quite cool and I am already thinking of neat ways to use it :)

With my headache and lightheadedness I can't even watch TV, read, or work on any of my stalled game projects either. Too tired to do anything, and I've taken as many naps as I can. Yeah, this'll be fun...  :(

Anyone else afflicted by the great hysteria-excuse of the year?

Aw, hope it passes soon and you feel better buddy.

I can't remember ever having the flu in 27 years, so am unable relate to anyone's flu ailing, but the way some make it sound it is nearly death-bed serious for a week or more. I become ill maybe once every 2-3 years with a cold and sore throat for a couple days, but that is all really  :-\

For this reason and many others I will not be vaccinated either, and I am quite happy to hear talk of the vaccine being made compulsory largely disappear, as I was not excited about potential complications of refusing it :P

Thanks for the interest everyone! :)

Earlier today I finished the final necessary animation (!), although we are looking at doing a few idle animations or other little touches to give more life to the game.

Tier has been on bug patrol for the last week and a bit since alpha, and has been adding lots more interactions and descriptions daily, which has added plenty more thrills to each new build.

We reckon there's nearly another week of testing and little graphical additions here and there before we can let you all have a go. :D

Which are the chances to do sport in London? Running in Hyde Park... Gyms? Football?

Summertime in London is some kind of season-long cycling festival, and the parks are full of people either keeping fit or people trying. Hyde Park and Regent's Park seemed especially busy when I was there this summer, and are dangerous for pedestrians because of this :P always having to keep on the lookout of speeding cyclists or aspiring footballers suddenly switching to dodge ball just as you are walking by and making you have to wait an extra 2 hours and 20 minutes at Victoria station because you had to blend into a tour group for a little bit and the worst part is you don't have a phone so the friend picking you up at your destination thinks you just stood them up   >:(

.....

Spleen is probably another one to ask about places to live since he lived there for a few years, and Magintz just moved into London as well but lived nearby his whole life so probably has some 'places to live' knowledge.

Good luck with you move, and I'll look forward to perhaps hanging out on one of my semi-annual visits :D

I like the style. Here's to TerranRich, who agreed to beta-test early on. ;)

Wow! It's exciting to see this talk of beta testing already, being on the other side of production for once :)

Hopefully you will be ready to test soon as I am halfway through the final animation now (barring anything we might decide to add at the last minute), and it is the longest one in the game 8)

Hey Darth just remember how much I love you when you come round to getting your nominations/invites etc  ;D

Hey Darth also remember your fellow Browncoats :D This would fulfill my dream of sending or receiving a wave sometime in my lifetime, not letting my descendants getting the first crack at it!

I think you should take all the money and blow it on a pointless-but-expensive feature, like hiring some semi-famous actor to voice just the title screen (Alexis Denisof: "New Game... Load Game... Quit"). That way we'll know what our money went to, and we can sit moving the mouse cursor over each menu item in turn, savoring our investment.

I would support that, as long as it was in his inimitable Wesley voice :P

Fundraising seems to have had quite the b00m since the last time I checked the page. I'm hoping that with each expansion there is a corresponding contraction between now and the release!

Just joined nearly a month ago, I update once in a while but I find twitter extremely useful for following some of my favourite artists and others that put things there exclusively.

So uh, who all is still planning on coming to this anyways?

Well I arrive in UK on the 18th, so could go for the new dates depending on if I can scratch a ride, though I'll certainly be there one way or another.

Unforseen circumstances now lead to brittens being brought to an end on the friday 28th of AUg, sorry guys! YOu can turn up two days early (sat 22nd) instead, if you like!

Hmm, my tickets have me leaving for London on 1 September at 07:20 :/ Looking to get replacement ones of the 28th. Is anyone driving up from the London-ish or close area that could take 2 on the way home (and possibly the way up)? I'll have to check, but we may be interested in seeing about going the couple days before if enough people want to turn up then as well. In return I promise petrol money and a few laughs here and there.

Also, since Magintz has gone and got a job he won't we able to make it this time, so in his stead I will be bringing this person.

Hehe, good one Chris :D Looking forward to seeing the full assembly!

That teaser makes the couple quotes I had this year seem a little more suspect than they were already :P
#315
Yeah that would be cool,  but I'm afraid after that it would then be downhill from that Mittens on, accomodationwise :P
#316
Just a few places I found in Italia-

Le Vecchie Case (farmhouse): Accommodations broken up in two like in France, 22 people, £1,851/â,¬2,166/$3,036 weekly.

Villa Ribino: Near Florence, which should be cool and a possible travel hub, sleeps up to 30, which should make £4,735-£5,923 ($9,714) easier to absorb if we get that many people to go  :-\ Would work out cheaper than Miami still if at least 28 go.

I looked for ones in Holland but could not find one for 20+, highest I saw was 14. I'll check some other sites as there must be something.

These are just the first few I found, will check out some more after sleep.

We don't have a firm host Nacho, please stop worrying about it :P Like has been said, it is just advice from a local and the internet. About 5 people so far have said they would organise or help organise, and IO don't see why we can't just get a few properties in mind and discuss those much like we are now. Some years, including this one, we had a couple properties and took everyone's preferences into consideration. Fransisco showed us two properties that worked for us and we chose from there. Wherever next Mittens is will likely be the same.

It is not like this is a situation where it is one person making 100% of the arrangements anymore.

The only way to resolve this disagreement is to set up two competing Mittens and see which one is more successful.

Well the way it looks now, one Mittens will have 4 solid members while the other Mittens will have 12, with 9 more divided equally (let's assume anyways ;)) between the two.

Of course, that means that if Ben and Dan get any more popular and then decide to SHOOT someone, we're knee-deep in the cacky...  ;)

Not likely. Isn't Jack Thompson disbarred or something? :P

Great to see more printed press for AGS games anyways, especially in a non-gaming periodical. Ben There, Dan That is another one of those many games I downloaded but for some reason or another never got to playing. I shall do so now :)

Is that so? I thought I was maybe the third or so person to bring Italy up online. In the realm of post-Mittens ideas I was actually pulling for Turkey, but I was alone on that so forgot about it :P

May I repeat, I only started this because a few people mentioned other places (including Italy) in the other thread and a few I've spoken to didn't seem to be aware of the Holland choice at this year's meet. Maybe we are a minority or it's because I missed the last morning of Mittens. Again, I was just trying to get more input  :-\
