As for a 3D remake of QFG, I'd think the Morrowind toolkit would be a better choice.

Indeed, at least that is what this person/group/whatever is using to remake the Quest for Glory series in 3D :P Not too confident in it's completion though (it's been around for years, and not updated in a year and a half) which suits me just fine since the series is stellar as-is.

I swear more and more guys my age are nonsexual, and it has nothing to do with religious beliefs.   I think a lot has to do with these watchdogs causing all sorts of stress and creating guilt, shame, and fear regarding behavior toward the opposite sex.

Woah. Maybe that's what happened  :o I wonder if I could extract a public apology from these groups :P

I suppose I should mention that I have asked for my sister's name to be added to the waiting list-

I used to check DeviantArt pages of friends (the homogenised subjects and themes keeping me from venturing further into the community), but I have altogether stopped for much of the same reasons Odysseus.

Now I use such sites as search engines to find artists I like, and I link to their websites or blogs. If you are interested mostly in illustration like I am, you might try the Flight forums and poke around. I also like bullalog and just recently stumbled upon DrawerGeeks!, which is a neat, themed illustration jam every Friday.

Matt  :o

I'm not on the list of entitledish people  ???. All I got last year was the sleeve. I think I remember seeing a few passed out, but did not receive one myself. Can I still get a copy?

I've seen quite a few strange things at Mittens, but never anything like this religious experience. I'm going to email the Vatican and tell them I saw the Virgin holding the Saviour in Canada:

Maybe I'll be interviewed on television  :D

I have no doubts as to my attendance, would be glad to leave this hemisphere again.

I'm not an owner, but I have used Macs extensively at university (studying Electronic Media and Graphics) over three years, and am interested in buying one for home use at some point. They are not as expensive as they used to be, and the Apple Store offers discounts to students, usually taking $100 off for something close to $1000 like a MacBook or iMac.

I have only used the G5 Power Tower Whatevers with a NEC display, and they are great for design use. I've never had one crash on me, and the OSX seems to get get updates rather more frequently than Windows, and costs considerably less to upgrade.

Not played any games on a Mac, AGS or otherwise, so can't help you there.

I can't swim ... but I do have a row-boat.  It seats 2 comfortably, so if anybody wants to help row let me know!

Depends. Could we take the Red Cross with us?   :P

Also, I am fully willing to host an inbetween Peteins anytime of the year!

Good. Between your Peteins, the AGS Formal I would someday like to organise, and the Amerittens that, you never know, might actually take off this year, opportunities for the budget-minded are endless.

And if all else fails, we'll always have Paris. Er.... ::)

Hehe, you silly Team Foxhumpers, there was a consensus on the way back to Toronto on the final day that it would be France. :P

The first notion was to ponder over the Netherlands since Jet and Radiant were in attendance, but further discussion led to France.

While I would prefer the French countryside, Miami sounds sexy. I've never been anywhere near the South.

Damn, you beat me Meowster :P

I was soon to post a sort of weigh loss diary thingy here, to keep me accountable to a group of friends and hundreds of other people...will probably still do it though.

I've never had body issues before, but after a couple years of comments from from my doctor and seeing my waist go from 32" to almost 40" without growing taller, I thought it would be time to get busy :P

As for my own recommendations, I am a subscriber to Zen Habits, one of those productivity/lifehack/motivational blogs, and they cover weight loss from time to time too. Here are a few articles-

Beginner's Guide to Running

Eh, I don't diet. I believe in the old-school "Eat healthy and exercise a lot" routine. It seems to work.

That is how I would go about it too, my main problem is exercise. I actually have a decent metabolism and don't mind walking or jogging, I just plain don't do it. Although I hate to use it as an excuse, the area where I live is the main deterrent to running around my neighbourhood, especially now in summer while school is out. I've had problems with being yelled at and having stuff thrown at me or otherwise intimidated just walking down the street.

However, I will be going back to school this fall for the first time in two semesters, and they have an excellent jogging trail around the campus.

I am back now as well, just walked in the door. A mere four hours from Toronto, yet I am certain I was the last one home :P What was going to be a 5 hour wait for my 14 hour coach ride home after leaving everyone at the airport turned into very cool end to Mittens when I bumped into Ivy and Kevfop at the station unexpectedly :D

This year's gathering was fantastic, and the cabin and its amenities couldn't have been better.  As per usual, photos and highlight will be on hold until I get a few more hours kip.

How does the story end, Yuf? Is your sister a chav?

Maybe it won't be so bad if she ends up a chav after all. Maybe that is what it takes for people to reevaluate their prejudices  :P

Just checked the Greater Toronto Airport Authority website. They mention nothing of flight TS423 right now, but it seems that every last Air Transat flight besides arrives at terminal 3.
