Mittens was good, I have to think of the week rather than the trip though. It has been a bit gnarly getting around, but it has been worth it overall (though I might need to do something to get myself deported just to get home  :) :'( >:( ) Hehe, I don't mean to drag down the topic but I might leave tomorrow at 0800.

I'll post properly later, but highlights for me were nightly fires, starry beach sleeping, "TELL ME!!", and the food not being as bad as others may affirm.

My super-favourite quotes this week were:
"Ken (Disco), I really can't open my tent"- drunk AGA
"You could slash it's throat at the point of orgasm"- scotch

Mmhmm.

Whee! The swissy Brits made itÃ,  :D. I am an hour from check in, alleged to be in London at 7:30.Ã,  I shall kiss the ground upon landing. Glad everyone made it home, Petey is in bussy transit and Grundislav is at least in London. Thanks for the great time guys, hasta luego! <--(never to soon to start)

11 hours left in Athens airport for me :'(. Airport security just woke me up and told me to get into a chair, from the same place we were laying the whole time! Hmph!!

200 points! I still win!

Huh? You lost all those 10,000 spoon points. Who did win anyway? I had the longest column and most additions but I suspect I came in last for some reason. :-\

Moussaka with peanuts is quite taaaaaaaaasty as well... pour ouzo on it to increase its flavour...

200 points for me!!!!

No thanks on the ouzo, but you might have me beat now Farlander, since everyone thought I had enough points they could be split in half twiceÃ,  :P

QuoteSomeone is having fun in Greece???

Still having fun, but no proper write ups until later. We stay in the airport tonight, see the Acropolis tomorrow, and go our separate ways in the afternoon :'(

Disco, 12th at 15:05, Flight Swiss 1822 (2 DAYS AGO!111!!!)
:'(

I will be arriving in Athens with the brits afterall. My flight this morning was not cancelled, but I was stuck at a hotel while it left. :-\

Theres a plus side- none of this was too bad and I pocket the 50 euros I was to use at the hostel.

CJ or m0ds, I suppose I will ring either of you later with where to meet or possibly out of bordom, failing that I'm making a blue cup sign=^.^=

Ahh! :D it took about 14 hours, but all seems to be okay now. My tickets were validated for tomorrow, catch is the clerk said not all the flights will be back by then, so there is a chance that the Geneva flight may again be cancelled. She seemed confident toward otherwise, still she booked me for the Sunday flights as well if Saturday's went awry too. I might fly in with you all!! No offense, but let's hope notÃ,  :P.

I mentioned some friends were taking this same journey on Sunday- she said there is nothing to worry about about because the planes will be back in place then and no one is striking anymore.

oops, times up

Okay, before I answer some of the above questions, I'd first like to say that currently everything is f%$ked. To answer some of the above questions- 1. The yankee traveller is still in Heathrow 11 hours after his flight was supposed to have left Ã, >:( 2. The Swiss flight that is directed by BA (same as mine) IS affected by the freaking strike (No, I'm not bitter Ã, :P) and leaves from terminal 4. Everyone is waiting to reroute and is sitting in the middle of the place getting handed water and crisps once in a while. I arrived at 5:30 and am still here at a bit past 16:15. My advice is to go straight to terminal 4 before 5am. and hopefuly skip the queue.cross your fingers for a strikeless sunday.
i'll report back after evething i sorted out, oh and this keyboardis crap Ã, ;)

Whoohoo! I have made it to London ^_^. Just about a day and a half now (first day spent with Iqu!!1), and already my long overdue international apearance has involved several interesting/irrational happenstances, including but not limited to getting lost in the wee hours miles from my accomodations, sidewalk peeing (was an emergency!), and other miscellaneous buffoonery . Full details for you mitteny people in a few days.

Also, glad to know my fellow campers are interested in playingÃ,  texas hold'em, but I feel like mofo for mentioning it because I have no chips :(. However, I do have a pack of coloured pencils so we may improvise some chips at the site :D.

I find it fascinating that we somehow missed this planet in more than 4,000 years of star-gazing.

Learning of a new planet is fascinating, but it isn't so hard to believe it went unnoticed until now. Pluto's existence was confirmed only 75 years ago in 1930.

I'm up for a game of football

Yes! It has been years since I've played football.  Everyone at my school had interest only in american football (fitting, as that's where it all took place  :P). I'm quite looking forward to being in a place where football means football.

NnNOOo! okay nevermind  ::)

I shall bring a chair (if necessary) and some info and sketches of my game. Renting a tent is my option, who else is going to rent? I'm guessing there are 16 people who have yet to disclose their tent ability or desire, with that many people plus luggage we might only need to rent 3-4 large tents.

By the way, I will not bring a guitar, am a vegetarian, and planned on sleeping at the airport while after everyone arrives. I think that answers a few posts :P.

AGA learns to leave someone else's antimatter alone-

Meanwhile at the local pub, DaveGilbert is at stalemate with the Jenga tower, and working on getting some artificial courage-

Also, I think at this point, JK Rowling could take a steaming shit on a binder full of paper, but a cover on it that says "Harry Potter" and 7 million copies would fly off shelves.

She'd have too eat a buttload (;D) of high-fiber foods to do that. Sure, there would be about 1.76 million sickos that would buy it, but I sure wouldn't. Well.....at least I wouldn't pre-order it  :).

Hush! I'm on page 399. The book is quite good so far, but the various spite romances are a bit overdone if you ask me *thinks back to age sixteen* yeah, definitely.

I went to the Midnight Magic release party, where I had my face painted (typical), got some neat specs and some other freebies. I know you won't believe me so here's proof-

That's allegedly Hedwig, but someone half my age did it, no complaints.

AGS Games in Production / Re: Elixir Vitae
Thu 14/07/2005 06:11:13
Intesting concept, and the art is splendid, but-  Is this an AGS game? Just curious, as I know resolution can be that high and you can generate 2d frames from 3d models, but the screenshots carry a certain non-AGS vibe :-\.

I interpreted 'overnight adults' as the cost per day for just you being there. The 'large/small tent' charge I believe is for each night you have your own tent up, and the 'large/small tent rental' is the cost to rent and put one up per night. Since your tent only has space for one, it might actually turn out cheaper to rent and disregard privacy :-\.

How much will it cost to hire a tent? It sounds like a much preferable option to lugging one onto the plane.

Club Agia Anna's pricelist lists large tent (by large, I'm assuming 6) rentals at 11,10 euros a night. After an extra 2% taxes, it comes to about 2 euros/person. I'm up for splitting a rental :)
