Advanced Technical Forum / Re:Problem - BUG?

Actually, I get this error all the time and it's slowly but surely freaking me out. However I noticed this error is a bit random. It can happen now, and the next time I try the exact same thing I get no error. :o
Guess I'll have to check the script line next time the error shows up.

It's a great swamp! ;D
The only thing that bugs me is that it looks a little too 'clean'. I'd add some bushes, vines and all that other 'dirty' vegetation to improve it.
And the water looks a little odd to me... It looks like somebody's dropped a ton of chocolate pudding on an orchard. This however could easily be improved with some water plants like mosses, maybe a rotting driftwood and some rocks.

Keep up the good work! ;)

The car in the middle is a Renault Twingo, right?  ;D

Dude, it's Sean Penn! One of my favorite actors, played in lottsa good movies, too bad if you didn't see them. And no, he didn't play in that pathetic attempt of a movie, called Predator.
He was also married to Madonna in the mid 80s.

Hmm, seems like no one knows what he looks like...  ::) Should I change it to something easier?

People, thank you very much for your help.
I will start thinking of a title based on your suggestions, trying to combine them in some way. That's because I liked too many ;)

I'll let you know when I make up my mind, and I'll keep you up to date with the game.

Thanx again everyone!

Gee, thanx for the quick replies. ;D
"Booty Call" isn't really appropiate, because the game isn't mainly about sex. The sex thing is actually the reason he finds out there have been some terrible things going on. However I didn't want to tell you WHAT those things are because I didn't want to spoil the surprise. See, I told you it's hard to find a title. ;D

So far I liked best Nixxon's idea, but thank you all for your cooperation.

Just keep the title ideas coming  ;)

Runzusoft presents:
A brand new game with no name (yet).

I've been working on this game for several months. It's not that long, I guess it'll be a medium length game, but I wanted it to be as perfect as possible, meaning that if you click on anything you get a message, not like I've seen in several other games.

It features:
- 320x200 cartoonish graphics
- Proskrito's MI2 GUI
- 9 or 10 rooms
- 3 characters
- lottsa inventory items

Here are some screenshots:

If the anonymizer isn't working, here's the link: http://acvarii.tripod.com/

The story:
You play as an accountant working for Mrs. Peanuss, a widow whom you help with the paperwork in order to inherit her late husband's fortune.
When the work is done, Mrs. Peanuss won't let you leave until you have sex with her. But, since you got a VD from a hooker you can't do it and must find a way out.
Things go horribly wrong, and the harder you try to get out the deeper you fall into the Peanuss Family mysteries, becoming a real private eye.

The game is nearly finished, but I still need some help:

1st - I have no idea what to call the game. If you think you have a good title, please post it here. You WILL be mentioned in the credits for it.

b.) - I need someone to help me with the music. I did the main theme, but I have no idea how to make some ambiental in-game midi music with NO pianos. It should be something like DOTT, not too scary, not too funny though.
I'd be really thankful if anyone could help me with that. Really really thankful.

Thanx!

I love it. The whole fun lies in the stupidity of the story. ;D

I'd choose No.1, but that's just me I don't like those big heads. ::)
#35
No, I actually used a walkcycle found somewhere on the web as a template for this character. The template didn't wear a dress though  ;D
#36
Here's a skirt walkcycle animation from my upcoming game. I know it's not the best and it looks like there's a frame missing, but I hope it helps.

I think you forgot about the screen size. I couldn't use 1024x768 on a 15" monitor because it would be a bit too small, and I couldn't use 800x600 on a 17" monitor, because everything would look too big. Using 1024x768 on 17" would make things look about the same size as 800x600 on a 15".
I'm using 1024x768 on 17" and I can't complain about images being too small. Resizing them to bigger resolutions would however also increase file size, and that bloody sucks! (for dial-up users like me)

I think my No.1 is Monkey Island 1.
It's easier to say which games I DIDN'T like.
Well, for starters, I hated Sam 'n Max. Great graphics, I admit, but I doubt there could be a stupider plot, and as for Max... I hate that character. I hate the f****n' bastard! I also didn't really like MI4.
