The Rumpus Room / Re: Happy Birthday Thread!
Fri 20/05/2005 02:33:59
I just stopped by to say Happy Belated Birthday to Mr. TerranRich, Mr. Blackthorne, and a pre Happy Birthday to Potch.

The gifts are in the mail.  If you don't like them, just send them back to me.  :)

Shawn

I thought edible underwear would be the perfect gift.  :)

Still looks drivable to me, but with a new charred paint job.  ;D

I remember a movie from my childhood that i will never forget.  It was called The Water Babies.

It was a live action/animated movie.  I haven't seen it in ages, but would like to watch it again soon.

Oh, somebody mentioned the Princess Bride.(duh, right above me. My Bad) One of my most favorite movies of all time.  That movie used to inspire me to write adventure games in Basic a long time ago.  I love it.

I like your character so far. Really cute.

But, you'll have to remember not to post Bitmaps on the forum.  Save your images as a jpeg, gif, or png file and then post them.

Welcome to the AGS forums.  :)

She doesn't look like an animal, but i'm guessing she's an ANIMAL in the bedroom.  Am i right?  :)

This looks better than the original Xbox.  I dig the new style.

I watched a cool video about the Xbox 360 on Gamespot.  This sucker is gonna have one hell of a pricetag when it's released. (I'm assuming, since somebody had mentioned 299 american dollars in the video, but i know it will be alot more)

Video can be seen on link below

Opening credits were nice. Keep working on this project as i am looking forward to playing it when it's released.

At least for this game, i won't have to spend an hour in line at EBGames to get it.  :)

I say NO to weed, never touched the stuff.  But in your case just pull some out and smoke it around them.

Also, i've played SMB3 many of times and couldn't finish that game in 3 lifetimes, let alone 11 minutes.  I seem to suck at all Mario games, even Super Mario Sunshine.

I know, i'm pathetic.  :'(

I watched a craptastic movie last night called Boat Trip.  I thought the movie sucked so bad that i actually enjoyed it.

At first the plot stunk, the acting stunk, and it seemed cheesey as hell, but i watched the whole thing.  It had its good moments. (some funny)

General Discussion / Re: System of a Down

System of a Down,

Sounds like the Forums about a week ago.  :)

As for the band, never heard their music at all.

I'm more into pop rock and easy listening 80's tunes like Hall & Oates & Journey.

You can also see a video interview with Mr. Schafer.

I posted this 2 weeks ago in the gen discussion and it seemed to have dissapeared without a single reply.  :(

He was also on a show called ICONS which was very good.

A guy i work with watched me play Nanaca Crash on my work computer during my lunch break, and now i got him hooked.

He even beat my high score. That dirty bastard is gonna have to pay.

Nobody i work with should ever beat my measly score.

That screen shot puts GTA: Vice City to shame. It's simply breathtaking.  ;D

Can i run over hookers on that beach?  :)

Official Survivor
Congratulations! You scored 63%!

Whether through ferocity or quickness, you made it out. You made the right choice most of the time, but you probably screwed up somewhere. Nobody's perfect, at least you're alive.

Nah, i'd hide in a mall.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: PONG Clone

People do non adventure games with AGS to show what can be done with the AGS engine.

AGS...It's not just for adventure games anymore.  :)

If you look at the games section on the AGS homepage, there should be a list of non adventure games you could check out.

I agree with andail about gen gen being a vital part of this community.  I think there would be a huge void if it had to be removed permanently.

If worse comes to worse. I'd be willing to donate some cash to keep this place up and running, and to make sure that the AGS forums remain intact for generations to come.  :)

I'm serious about the donation part, so please save General Discussion.

Shawn

p.s. had to write this quickly because i'm at work and don't want to get caught.

EMACHINES P4 2.8 w/ 512 mb. Bought this back in July of 2004, and it's already outdated. What a waste of 800 bucks.

I really like what i see so far.  I am a huge fan of SH and a luke warm fan of RE.  The BG's look good.  Are these ripped graphics or did you make them yourself?

If they are original, i'd like to know how to do the same.
