I love being moderated, with all those chains and whips and leather... woops... wrong forum.  ;D

I think the moderators here are doing a great job at keeping this community the way it is and having everything going so smoothly.

Hats off to you, especially Eric!.
(I lied, Eric are fag!!!!)

edit: but there has to be something done about new members who mass post to every thread within their first day of being a member here.

Bah. Making levels for Duke Dukem 3d is much more fun. :P

Yeah, i used to enjoy making levels with the BUILD editor that came with Duke Nukem 3D, but i really wanted to make DOOM levels.  I think DOOM, in my personal opinion is a better game and has a better atmosphere than DN3D.

I started making DOOM maps around 94 or 95 and started using the BUILD level editor back in 96 i believe.

I downloaded version 1.0.1 today on my home computer and my work computer.  Everything seems good.

It seems to run a bit faster, but that might only be me.

I'm glad to see Firefox doing so good.  25 million downloads since version 1.0

I have been using FF for awhile now, but i still cannot convince people to switch from IE.  All i do is get ripped a new one for suggesting it.  Well, when they get a juicy virus, i'll be the first person in line laughing my ass off.

Did you draw in the walkable areas for your character to walk in?  It has been awhile since i used AGS myself, so i might not be the best help.

I figured that alot of people still play Doom here.  There is also a program called DOOM connector which i found that allows people to still play deathmatch online and all the lobbies are still full of people waiting to play, so i don't understand the comment of welcome to 2005.  Maybe i was wrong, i must be stuck in a time warp. But some games remain a classic, no matter how many years go by.

Here is a program for anybody who loves DOOM, the ability to create their own maps (levels) from scratch.  I started using this program a couple of weeks ago and i have made some really awesome levels.  The program is called DOOM Builder.  It is simple to use (read the manual) and in no time you will be creating DOOM levels like a pro.

I play deathmatch with a guy from work over our work network, so i only build deathmatch levels.

Just look for DOOM builder on this site, download, and enjoy.

p.s. you must have doom installed on your computer to use this, since it looks for the DOOM.wad file for graphics and such.

My favorite beverages would have to be pop (or soda for some people).  It seems like that's all i drink.  I'm talking about anything from Coke & Pepsi to Mountain Dew and Hawaiian Punch.  I always take a 2 litre of pop with me into work every morning.

People tell me to drink water, but i need something with flavor.  I could always drink flavored water, which i like, but i prefer my carbonated beverages.

Before becoming a member of the AGS forums, i was on a message board that had no respect for anybody.  I was always worried about replying because you never knew what little punk was going to respond with.

I had started a topic about the Playstation 2 being one of the best consoles out there, and then the flame war began.  I was ripped a new one, but tried to delete the thread, but i couldn't because people were replying left and right.  After that, i deleted my account and came here.

This forum is light years ahead of most forums, and i'm glad to be a member here.

At least 99 percent of the people here act mature, except for the few that pop up here and there to make things miserable.

But, i'm here to stay.

Good Day,

Definitely the original Terminator.  A classic movie in my opinion.

I first saw the movie back in 1984 when i was only 11 years old and it really scared the **** out of me.  It just left this really uneasy feeling inside me and I was really terrified of the Terminator.  Plus, that Terminator music is probably one of the best soundtrack pieces i have ever heard.  Like Darth Mandarb said about Arnold being really unknown at the time,  every movie after that I always thought he was the Terminator still.

Plus the sex scene with Reese (was that his name) and Sarah Connor was damn good too.  :)

I enjoyed T2 and T3, but not as much as the first.

I also tried a CD, and what do you know.  The computer guessed  it after only 11 questions.  I'm gonna have to go back and try something different.

That was really cool and i never thought the computer would be able to figure it out.  I'll never think of my work computer the same way again.  :)

Shawn

edit: i tried it again and was thinking of a rubber band, but the computer guessed Toupee.  Now that's funny. :-)

Same for me.  Basketball is one game i do not enjoy.  I have never watched one basketball game in my whole life.  I've played B-Ball back in gym in H.S., but like i said, Bllllaaaaahhhhh, yuck!!

Critics' Lounge / Re: A motel
Wed 09/02/2005 00:49:38
As the background stands right now, i think it looks great.  Kind of reminds me of the BATES motel from Physco.

Maybe adding a motel sign in front of the rest of the motel with a flickering   No Vacancy sign, or some burned out lights would really give this background some excellent atmosphere.

You've done some good work on this BG.

I am also hoping the Eagles win the Super Bowl

My Buffalo Bills let me down by losing 4 straight Super Bowls in the early 90's, and i dislike the Patriots
