I want to ensure that my clone will live on long after i'm gone.Ã,  I guess i'll have to leave my DNA in a cup stored in my freezer, and then hopefully someday, some scientists will raid my freezer and find me, i meant my clone.

just a joke of course, and i should be slapped for my sick sense of humor.Ã,  :)

I found AGS awhile ago and liked what i saw, and yet i have not worked on a game.Ã,  ButÃ,  i logged on to the forums after lurking for awhile and liked the mix of people i saw here.

This community seems to be, in most part, very positive and very friendly, and everybody is so wonderful.Ã,  It's great to see so many people with an adventure game passion, and also people who have such a great sense of humor.

This may sound kind of weird, but i consider every forum member here a part of my family.Ã,  I may not have shown myself in game making yet, but you are all so great.Ã,  We all seem to get along together as well.Ã,  I have looked and also been part of a message board that no matter what you say, somebody will always rip you apart.Ã,  This is what seperates this forum from the rest.

I have to admit i check the forums every single day.Ã,  I just can't stop. It's like an addiction.Ã,  Since i signed on here in August 2003, there is probably only a couple of days where i didn't read the forums.Ã,  But i love to read what everybody here has to stay.

I hope this community remains intact, and people continue to churn out adventure games left and right, and maybe someday i will make one myself.

Your fellow AGSer

General Discussion / Re: SIM's Fans Out There?
Tue 07/09/2004 15:15:02
Yes, i am really looking forward to the Sims 2 also. I've been checking out the videos and screenshots, and they have me drooling.

I also went out and bought a brand new computer just so i could play this.Ã,  Seeing as much time i've invested in the Sims, i can only imagine how much time i'm gonna put into the Sims 2.

Looking forward to Friday the 17th!!

This will probably turn into a thread about who plays the best James Bond.

If that happens, i pick Roger Moore

This took me forever to draw over with NeoPaint. I do have Photoshop, but i don't know how to use it.

But here is our good friend Evil...

I had to do everything pixel by pixel because NeoPaint does not have layers.

In my experiences, SP2 has much better response time than before.. Perhaps you should take a look at my guide: http://lilgryph.sitesled.com/docs/tweaky-clean.doc ;)

LGM, sorry man, but i've tried opening this on two computers. One at home, and the other at work.Ã,  Both times, it locked up on me and when i went to do a virus scan, i had a nice juicey virus.Ã,  I'm not saying it was from you, but why does your doc file lock my computer up.

This only happened after downloading your files to both my home computer and work computer.

I tried downloading it too and got the same results.Ã,  A computer that just freezes up.Ã,  It took over 2 1/2 hours of virus scanning my computer to finally find something.Ã,  It was fine until i tried getting your doc file.

okay, i tried again and guess what, lockey lockey, it froze up again.

now going off to do another virus check.

edit: LGM, i really wanted to read that too. But i keep trying and trying.

Can we just lock this thread and move on.Ã,  Is there really a reason to keep arguing back and forth whether it's spam or not.Ã,  Let bygones be bygones and lets keep this one happy community.

I think Relik made a bad choice in posting this, and i feel he is sincerely sorry.

Sorry for going off topic here, but i liked Ultimo.Ã,  But his last thread (i believe it was a photoshop phriday) was childish and uncalled for.Ã,  But i look forward to his return some day.

Whenever i see a locked topic, i head right to it and read it.Ã,  I always find something interesting in them.

Wow, i've been here a year already.  Where does the time go?

I gave up on Myst 3 for now, because i couldn't figure out what to do next. I kept notes and actually wrote them down in a notebook that i keep.Ã,  I would go back and reference them, but i still had the hardest time with some of the puzzles.

But even though the puzzles in the game may be on the tough side.Ã,  I think it's just the atmosphere the games present.Ã,  I like the fact that i'm being taken to another world unlike our own.Ã,  It's a refreshing change.

I did play a demo for Myst3d about a month ago, and thought it was amazing.Ã,  I still like Myst and want to play more of them, so when i get stuck i can look for clues online and still be able to enjoy the experience while it lasts.

As far as the story goes in Myst 3, i'm totally lost.

General Discussion / Windows XP Service Pack 2
Fri 27/08/2004 00:55:15
Hello everyone,

Well last night i thought i was doing the right thing by downloading service pack 2 for Windows XP, but today upon starting up my computer and when entering windows everything was running very, very slow.Ã,  Everything that usually boots up during startup took forever and my hard drive was just running and running.

On top of that, when going into control panel, it probably took about 30 seconds to find all of the icons in the folder.Ã,  This was never a problem until last night, and i know it wasn't my computer because i bought this thing brand new about a month ago.Ã,  So i am assuming there might be some issues with the new service pack.Ã,  But thank goodness, i was able to uninstall it and return my computer back to normal.

I'm just wondering if anybody else running XP has had the same problem after downloading it.

Maybe Microsoft needed to do more fine tuning on this before releasing if for download. I don't know, but glad everything worked out in the end.

I bought Halo for the Xbox a couple of months ago, and loved it at first. I thought it had amazing graphics and was a lot of fun because you had your marines backing you up once in awhile.

But after i don't know many levels later, i was getting my butt kicked by the aliens and then decided to not play it for awhile.

But Halo, i admit was alot of fun and now i'm thinking about playing it again.Ã,  Driving the Warthog while one of the marines was using the gun turret was alot of fun.Ã,  Plus, i heard Multiplayer was a blast.Ã,  But i couldn't get my cat interested in playing with me.Ã,  :)

Master Chief is one cool dude though.

wyr3x, yes i can see your avatar. But maybe since you're 95 years old and all, that is why you can't see your own avatar.Ã,  How about laser surgery on them eyes.Ã,  :D

This is really cool, but yet kind of creepy. I just found my house on this program.  I wanted to zoom in more, but it was all blurry.  Weird, very weird..

xbox is better lol..but to the point.Ã,

I have an Xbox and Gamecube and more, so this isn't about console wars at all.

But since RPG Maker 2 is only available for the PS2 console, thats why i mentioned it.Ã,  :)

General Discussion / RPG Maker 2 for PS2
Sun 22/08/2004 06:22:39
I went out today to a local video game store (Game Crazy) and purchased RPG Maker 2 for the Playstation 2.Ã,  So i go home and test it out, and it seems pretty cool, but i almost broke my controller in frustration because to me it seems impossible to do anything.Ã,  I had to read the manual over and over again just to create a tiny, crappy room.

But while using the program, i realized how much more fun i would of had just using AGS.Ã,  Has anybody here bought or used RPG Maker 2?Ã,  I have RPG Maker for the Playstation 1 and found it much easier to use.Ã,  But again, maybe i shouldn't have wasted my money when i could just do a game with AGS.

After using this program, i realize how superior AGS is to any stupid commercial make your own game software out there.

Maybe i can return it and say the disk was defective. (i got it used)
