Instead of starting a new thread, i just wanted to know if my new avatar showed up also.Ã,  I had a problem with my old avatar not showing up before, and i don't know if the same problem is going to happen this time.Ã,  Some people were unable to see my avatar, or my sprite jam entries, and it made me wonder why it didn't work.Ã,  So if you bump into this thread and see my new look, let me know.

Thanks

Farlander, i think it's a great start to a background.Ã,  I really like the lighthouse off in the distance and how the sun seems to be setting around it.Ã,  Plus, the vehicle on the road looks really good also. You've done a great job so far on it.

General Discussion / Re: Is ScummBuddy dead??!

Hey them are some nice trophies. But i see trophies every single day and i'm used to seeing them and get kind of bored with them.Ã,  I do work for an awards and trophy company.

But, sure glad ScummBuddy isn't dead.Ã,  :)

I've known about the Real Doll for awhile now, because radio personality Howard Stern had one in his studio, but it was met with an early death.Ã,  I guess everybody had a turn with it and it fell apart.

But it would be cool to order one just to stick in the passenger seat of you car and drive around and look like you've got some semi-hot girl with you.Ã,  Then when you return home, you could stick her back in the box. I mean, c'mon who'd want to have sex with it.Ã,  ::)

The ebay auction for the Real Doll is kind of nasty because the thing has been used. Eeeewww.

and for the ladies, they have male dolls too.

Although, when you're 32, it'll be 8-16-32 ... which'll be cool.

Sorry Darth,

but wouldn't that make him only 4 years old if he turns 32 on 8-16-32.Ã,  2032 is 28 years away. He will be 44 in the year 2032.

just had to clear that up bud.Ã,  :)

edit: okay, i see what you meant. I didn't get it before.Ã,  :)

Has it ever occured to you that some people cant draw, My girlfriend cant draw on a computer, yet I can.

I agree with jannar85, post a background or pic that has some substance to it. Do we need to see a non colored (or badly colored), half ass attempt at a background every other day here.Ã,  I will work on a background for hours and hours until i feel it is appropriate for the critics lounge.Ã,  Who wants to see a room that somebody only took 5 minutes to produce.Ã,  If you can't draw, then learn and practice.Ã,  When you feel the background is good enough, then post. Don't just draw an outline of a room and ask for help.Ã,  When people post stuff like this, we should be allowed to speak our minds.Ã,  Just my 2 cents.

I call it the Capple. One part cat, one part apple. Don't ask, i think something spilled into the test tube.Ã,  :)

I've always thought the forums could use larger avatars. Like netmonkey said.Ã,  Maybe a max of 100 by 100 pixels.

Where i work we have Cable internet service and every computer is connected. So most of the time while i am working at my computer, i go online and surf away. I spend most of the time reading the forums here, but try not to get caught. But some people notice i have my internet explorer open, even though i keep it in a small window.

When not too busy, we always seem to have rubber band wars, or throwing peanuts at each other (which happened today).Ã,  But most of the time, we just throw rude comments back and forth at each other and just act out right whacko.Ã,  :)

But when we are really busy, it's all work and some play.

Eggie, glad you enjoyed your trip to the USA.

Speaking of Arby's. You can't beat the 5 for 5 roast beef sandwich special. 5 mouth watering roast beef sandwiches for 5 dollars.

Plus, throw in some horsey sauce. (not made with real horses, just a creamy horseradish sauceÃ,  :))

Aww, i am getting so hungry now.Ã,  Plus, i also sound like an advertisement which i didn't mean too.

But, still hungry anyways.Ã,  :)

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Sun 01/08/2004 01:24:24
A couple of years ago i was searching for ways to make my own adventure games.Ã,  I stumbled upon this certain website that allowed you to make your own point and click adventure games (AGS), but at the time AGS was still DOS only and i really couldn't get the hang of the editor.Ã,  I kept checking back and it finally was released for windows, so i downloaded AGS and also joined the forums back in August 2003.

Thank goodness we have an African Lion Safari across the border from where i live. I really feel like having a bunch of wild animals walk all over my car and trying to get their dirty paws inside while i frantically roll up the window.

Have Fun Flippy and take care dude.

The only reason i ever watched that show was because Howard Stern was an executive producer (i believe that was his role).Ã,  It was quite funny in some episodes, and downright dumb in others, but overall was a decent show.

I have to say that i'm a long time fan of the King of All Media (Howard Stern)

Looking directly into the sun for a short period of time will damage the human eye. But if somebody wants to test this theory (and it won't be me). Just head outside on a bright sunny day and close one eye and stare at the sun with just one eye for five minutes, i mean hell, you've got two eyes, so you've always got one good eye left after the other burns out and goes blind.

If all of a sudden you can't see out of one eye anymore, then you know that the Sun can cause major damage to an eyeball.

If you only have one working eye, then don't try this.  :)

I'd rather pretend i'm playing games on a calculator than waste money on the N-Gage.

I'll just wait until later this year when Leisure Suit Larry is released on the consoles.
