well, its snowing right now. yay!! I just wish for a white christmas, then it can all melt. People around here drive on snow like they're driving the indy 500. They don't seem to care. Thats probably why i see so many people's cars in ditches when coming home from work.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Merry Christmas everyone!!

i think it looks pretty good. Yet, a bit blurry.

It's a very pleasant scene.

Inkoddi , that is a wonderfully delightful picture.

That is really good!! I'm going to have to slow down when drawing my backgrounds. I always like to rush, rush, rush.

Good job

I really can't say winter is my favorite season, but i do enjoy a nice winter storm here and there. I don't mind the cold either, but i would prefer a nice, some what warm day with low humidity.

Living in Buffalo, we see our share of rotten winters. This year we've only had about an inch of snow (lucky us). But living so close to Lake Erie has produced some terrible and almost devastating winter storms.  A couple of years ago, a Lake Effect snow band set itself up right over western New York and dumped 8 feet of snow on us. Yep, that is correct folks. 8 FEET of snow. I think it was a couple of days before christmas.

I hate driving in the white stuff, i hate shoveling it too. But i do enjoy being called and told not to come into work. I guess snow has its perks.

But i'd have to say Spring and Fall are the best seasons for me. Even though our Springs and Falls around here aren't that great. Well, thats what i deserve for living here.

Does anybody recall the Blizzard of '77?

Darth,

I have to say that from playing the short demo for a few minutes that i love it. The graphics are very good, i love the detail that you put into the house.  It reminds me of the perspective used in the game Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Very well done!! I'd love to play a whole game in this style. Don't stop. Hey, even this demo would make a great game.

General Discussion / Re:Ridiculous Laws

i find the law that says wearing a bulletproof vest while committing a murder is illegal strangly odd. Well, is it legal to murder somebody while not wearing a bulletproof vest. Maybe the judge will be more leniant if he found out somebody wasn't wearing a vest. what a joke!

i wonder if its illegal to play adventure games wearing a bulletproof vest.

they are all nice, but my vote goes to AlexisVale. There is just something about that picture i can't describe. It does remind me of Charlie Brown cartoons, and the great pumpkin patch. I really like it.

the video game awards are on again tonight, and heres the verdict: this must be a joke.

It seems more like a celebrity circus than a video game award show.  It seems the main focus is not on video games, but entertainers, wrestling, rap music, sexy cheerleaders (well thats okay), porn stars and a bunch of overrated actors and actresses.

If this were the gong show, i would have hit the gong about a hundred times already. I love Video Games, and this is a slap in the face to the industry. Who were the people who voted for the games that won. I mean c'mon Madden 2004 as Game of the Year. That alone, makes me sick. How did the Matrix game even win, this game got some of the worst reviews ever, plus it was full of glitches, and i even read that the game would crash all the time.

oh, and best fighting game being smackdown. give me a break. Right now i'm watching wrestling, because it seemed that people would be more interested in wrestling than video games. (if ya didn't know, they had a wrestling match during the awards)

Maybe when the WWE hands out awards, they should show people just playing games. Well thats my 2 cents, and Spike TV should be ashamed of theirselves for this garbage they are shoving down my throat right now.

Even Ray Liotta looked embarrassed to be there.

Oh how i love 80's music!! I probably listen to more 80's music than anything else.

Journey (Faithfully is the best song ever)
Hall & Oates
Phil Collins & Genesis (60's, 70's, 80's & 90's)
Howard Jones
Peter Gabriel (solo stuff rules)
Chicago
Toto
REO Speedwagon
Foreigner
Men at Work

there are so many more, but i could probably fill about 20 pages or so. Oh, btw, i like Yanni too.

I know this might be off topic, but wasn't the setting for Bruce Almighty, Buffalo New York. Well it's to bad that most of the filming was done in a studio and Jim Carrey never even came to Buffalo to film the movie. All i remember from the promo's was him walking across Lake Erie.

Me, Myself and Irene, i consider to be the best Jim Carrey movie ever made. But if you want some old school Jim Carrey, check out the movie Once Bitten. I think it was one of his first films.

My first experience with playing games
was way back in the 1970's with Pong, and then
later on with the Atari 2600 during the early to
mid 1980's. But the one experience i do remember
the most was playing Kings Quest 1 for the first
time back in 1984. I think we had a Tandy 1000
computer at the time, and it was the first time i
had ever seen anything like it. I was amazed at
how i could control this character on screen with
a joystick. I think thats what started my love of
adventure games.

Well fast forward to 2003, and geez i pretty much
have all the major console sytems. NES, SNES,
N64, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast,
Game Boy Advance and Playstation 2.

well i am a GAMER, hence my username. I have alot of favorites, but i would say Kings Quest 1, is right there at the top.

Hello again DG,

Which game is better, Grand Theft Auto 3 or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City?

I have both, but wanted to know your favorite.

oh by the way, what do you think of the movie The Princess Bride?

oh boy, i've been around since the early Radio Shack Tandy days of computers. In fact we still use TRS-80 Model 3's and 4's at work. Talk about dinosaurs. (well we use them to run old engraving machines, which the software will only work on them).

The first computer i ever had the privilege to use was the TRS-80 Model I Computer. This was probably about the late 70's, if i can remember correctly. Then my dad moved up to the TRS-80 Model 3 and then 4, then we got a Color Computer, which was hooked up into a television instead of a monitor.

To make a long story short. (i could go on and on and on about every computer my dad purchased when i was a kid.) The first computer i ever bought for myself back in 1994 was an AST computer, with 4 MB of Ram, running Windows 3.1, a 400 MB Hard Drive, and it was a computer with the monitor and CPU built in together.

Well in 2000, i bought my current computer. An Emachines etower 500is, with a 500mhz Celeron Processor and 32 MB of Ram. (It currently has 96 MB, and i upgraded to a 37 GB Hard Drive.) But now i'm about to throw this thing at a wall because its start to act up all the time.

This topic has brought back alot of good memories.

Well, i'm off to beat this computer with a sledgehammer.

i know if i want to run the Sims 2, i would have to invest in a brand new computer.

What are the required specs for that game?

probably P4, 500+ MB of Ram, and i'm thinking a 64mb Video Card?

what are the exact specs?

those look absolutely fabulous.

But they remind me of the buildings in Kings Quest 5. Which isn't a bad thing at all.

nice job!!!
