one character i really have to admire is Heather from Silent Hill 3. At first i was unsure of playing a female role in this game, but after completing it i have a few thoughts.

1. She is very strong willed, and determined to keep going no matter what.

2. She doesn't take crap from anybody or any monster.

3. She has a troubled past and that makes her more determined to do the right thing.

4. She has an Attitude, which was great. She doesn't let anything bother her.

5. The most important thing is she carries a whole crap-load of weapons.  Can't go wrong with a character with an arsenal.

I just have to say that she is a real Strong Likable Character, and people should take example of this when designing games. Plus a deep & involving back story also helps. Hooray for Konami.

Thank you for your time, and good day.

just wanted to let you know that EldKatt has a picture posted in the general discussion forum under the post your picture topic.

In the pic he's not wearing a hat, but i'd say the self-portrait looks pretty close.

I am just wondering if he was displeased in the direction the company was going in.  It seems that most, but not all of LucasArts console games were met with somewhat lousy reviews and poor sales.  Maybe he was more into the adventure game genre, and not into all the other games LA has been publishing lately.

The PS2 game, RTX Red Rock was ripped apart by video game mags and recieved poor scores.  I also read in a magazine that Full Throttle was cancelled due to the fact that the game was no fun. (this was a quote from a LucasArts employee.)

I am probably wrong about this, but you never know about the actions of somebody else.

well, i am 30 years old (almost 31) but i still don't act my age and in no hurry to grow up.  I will always be young at heart, and do not look forward to having to shop for adult diapers anytime soon.

I work in a place where almost everybody is in their 40's and they all act like little kids.  The owner of the place i work at says she feels like a babysitter all of the time. I find that funny.

Congratulations, what a great age to be. From there its all downhill. j/k

I remember turning 21 many years ago, and was so relieved to actually go into a store and buy my own alcohol.  I never drank any alcohol before i turned 21, and then all of a sudden, BOOM, i find myselfing enjoying a few cold ones every now and then. Hey, at least now you don't have to worry about getting busted at bars.

why would somebody pay for these games when you can download them for free. I am sure you could find all these games on the net somewhere. (The other games not made with AGS.)

We've had an actor for President (Ronald Reagan), a wrestler for governor of Minnesota (Jesse "The Body" Ventura), an actor/singer in Congress (Sonny Bono), now deceased and an actor for mayor somewhere in California, i think. (Clint Eastwood)

Arnold for Governor didn't surprise me at all, and probably couldn't do any worse than their last Governor. I just hope he has some extra time to make more movies. (Total Recall is my fav.)

oh, by the way, Howard Stern was going to run for Governor of New York but dropped out of the race.

i was at work when i was messing around with that, but now i'm home and it doesn't appear. BOYD was right about that, i only saw it because i had checked out the link and then came back to this topic.

not sure, but when i did properties on your Avatar box and copied it into my internet explorer address bar and checked out the link, i could see your picture. The weird thing is when i came back to this topic, Your Avatar was where it should be.

Until i pressed refresh and the red X came back with no picture.

this should work. Go under characters, and there should be a small box that says movement speed. Change the number. I can't remember if high numbers are faster speed or lower numbers. But give it a try. I have had AGS for awhile, still learning myself before i do anything with it.

okay just checked, higher values = faster walking speed.

Hey, Congratulations. You got your foot in the door and can only move up from there. Even though the hours might suck, just think of what might come with a job well done.

p.s. kissing everyones butt also helps.  :)

it's not that, but they treat this guy like a King. I just really don't find any entertainment in Boxing.

He's good, but not that good.

speaking of boxing, i wish somebody would knock-out our hometown boxer Baby Joe Mesi. This guy never loses, but i'm not a big boxing fan and can't wait until he's lying on his back in the ring. Ding Ding, Knock-out. He needs at least one loss.

Andail, i have been playing The Glorious Realm of Thendor for awhile now, and i have to say I Like It, even though have been stuck and stopped playing, Great Job!!

General Discussion / Re:SHENMUE fans?
Sat 04/10/2003 00:24:17
i bought Shenmue 2 (Euro-Version) on Ebay and it came with a boot disk called the DC-X for Dreamcast, which is a legal product which was sold in stores. It allows you to play imported games on an American Dreamcast.  I have to say it worked perfectly.

I bought my Dreamcast back in 2000 for 200 dollars brand new, and still like the system, but unfortunetly, it has taken a back seat to my Playstation 2, which i got in 2001 (well at least the first one, before it died.) Then had to buy another PS2 back in March 2003.

And for the video clip of Shenmue on Saturn. I highly doubt it would have even been possible to do the whole game because of the scope and size of the game. I think only next-gen systems were capable of it.

BTW, i read that the Saturn was really difficult to program for and really had a lack of 3rd party software titles
