I have heard many good things about Tomb Raider overall, I would go with that. Far Cry 3 is also very good and I haven't heard of any big issues with UPlay on that title from other PC gamers. I would definitely pick between those two titles if I were you, I don't think Saints Row 4 was much of a good game at all, it suffered from a number of gameplay issues.

Today I picked up Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, even though I've already seen a complete playthrough of the game, it really is excellent, so I wanted to own it and play it myself. Was 2.50 Euros so really good deal in my opinion, 80% off.

Yes, PLEASE everybody don't let this opportunity for a great meet-up get cancelled just because you didn't sign up as an interestee. So many people were initially interested! Arjon/Tamara, Miez, Mark etc.! Don't have time this August 15-22?:)

These are really the same deals we had one whole year ago with the Summer sale 2013. I expected there to be a bit of a change.
Well, I think that's because Sales are now such a common feature of the service. There is always something on sale. It's safe to say that you are not doing yourself a favour if you ever buy a game there at full price. Sooner or later there will be "usual suspects" and this is happening now.

Hm I guess.

I did just get Guacamelee, it was in the flash sale. I've seen a bit of gameplay and it looked fun and interesting.

I'll sit this one out though because my backlog is killing me.

I picked up Shadowrun Returns for next to nothing just now in the Flash sale!

You know, you're making this very, very hard for me, sir. :P

Steam says you already have it? :)

Well apart from that, I'm still really super disappointed in the sale so far. These are really the same deals we had one whole year ago with the Summer sale 2013. I expected there to be a bit of a change.

It was a good game, a real battle for our team as I personally thought it was going to be. Ghana played lightyears better than in their first game, now that their back was against the wall, great play by them. Deserved result, even though we could've made it 3-2 in the end a couple times.

Who's participating in the "adventure" btw? I'm on Team Purple.

I'm on blue. We are losing. :(

Me too! :)

I picked up Shadowrun Returns for next to nothing just now in the Flash sale! Can't wait to play it.

Well that's a classic C&C for you then! I'm just an RTS/StarCraft elitist, that's why I knocked it! :)

My backlog is also massive, 90 games owned on Steam before the sale, I've played about 10 so far I think. Finished 2 or 3 maybe...

Anyways, I just picked up C&C 3 because it was cheap and I still need to play it, knowing that it's not a great game of course but for old times sake.

General Discussion / Steam Summer Sale 2014

It's that time of the year again - what's everybody getting/having their eyes on?

Currently I'm disappointed in the first day deals, all these games have been on sale for the same or less before. FarCry 3 is something I'd like to buy but it's been 75% off half a year ago at the Winter sale... I really expected it to go lower this time around. And since it's a daily deal, I think that means it definitely won't get any cheaper throughout the sale. :(

I'd really like August 15 to 22 personally. What about everybody else?

Thank you very much for the well wishes on my birthday! :) Had a blast yesterday - but now I'm sick and literally stuck either in my bed or over the toilet bowl...

I absolutely love the upper three that I've just now taken a look at. The first and second look especially GREAT. Very nice and still very cheap! I'd be 100% happy with either of them.

If you make games for youself and you know what you're doing, use 8-bit. Else, don't.
#35
Nah I'm just legitimately WAY too lazy to give out that many predictions! :)

That's the weirdest business model ever. Not sure what they're trying to achieve with that...

I like the feature list and have tried a bunch of different asesprite versions in the past but I just can't get past their idiotic selfmade game-ish interface. No idea why they didn't go with a standard OS gui.

Agreed, that's what cosplay should be like all the time, then I'd like it more as well! Great find! :)

I recently updated my computer to be able to play some recent games I always wanted to play, and never could.

Wow. But what about all those slave kids in the mines, man, digging the copper for that machine!
With their tiny tiny hands!

I love you Ghost! :)

So I'm not the only person, that's good to know... :)

I did like the video and some of the things he explained (the first tentacle shot behind the tree, his sister voicing Edna etc.), all I said was that I personally didn't get a great-guy vibe from his personality/character in that video. And I only posted that because Oldschool_Wolf said that he thought he looked like a great person to work with in that video and I heavily disagreed. Secret Fawful put it best when he said that he kinda is a smartass. It's obvious that he's talented and smart, I just don't like his... style. It's hard to explain, very subjective.
