That runs really, really well on my system. Excellent work, Khris!

We run aground somewhere? Well, we had 9 pages of engaged discussion and quite a bit of productivity, until you, out of nowhere, put the lid on it and - all of the sudden - it wasn't supposed to be a swarm effort anymore:

This game is no longer to be considered a swarm.

Plenty of people were interested and I too would have really loved to contribute more (despite my frustration at people not understanding just how much of an additional difficulty actual multiplayer is haha) - I think you really screwed up there when you closed it off after the swarm got started on it (no offense, happens to the best of us). I have very little time these days but if this project was to rise again I certainly could try and help out. Still love the project idea!

If you have some time, you can check out the first day of my livestream that I recorded when I worked on my MAGS game KTX-1:

That covers my personal method of kicking a project off! But it IS 6 hours of video haha!

Beginners' Technical Questions / Re: AddPoint
Sat 20/04/2013 20:30:12
Cerno, your enum to array size trick is not optimal because in AGS enums actually are represented by integers starting at ONE instead of ZERO. So you're constantly allocating your array to be one element too large. This is not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind. And you can't array[enum - 1] either, as AGS does not consider a constant subtracted by another constant a constant.

Add a dynamic array "Points" of type Point

Won't work as dynamic arrays of custom structs are not allowed. You'll need to use a primitive array with a constant maximum array size.

Yep, correct. Looks like Tramponline was a good minute earlier!

Nope! And yeah, it is quite a beautiful game! If nobody gets it when I wake up tomorrow, I'll give some hints! Don't wanna drag this out too much!

One of my favorite Point'n'clicks!

@Ilyich: Thanks a lot! I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed this short little MAGS game!

@Miez: Nope, it's my parents' laptop that I only used while I was back home in-between semesters, so I wiped everything from it before I left. I never really lost data because usually I'm very careful - but there's a first time for everything. On the plus side, apart from that one issue that seems to affect some people when they change the graphics options (this would be trivial to fix), there isn't really anything else that I would do with the project anyways I guess.

But hey, if somebody happens to have 90 hours of free time on their hands, you could just rewatch all the videos, re-do everything I did and send me the project haha! (/jk)

Download numbers just quadrupled - maybe this excellent article on IndieGames.com has something to do with it? http://indiegames.com/2013/04/freeware_pick_ktx-1_cyberpunk.html

Chances are his GPU doesn't support pixel shaders though!

And I haven't heard of any issue like this - but you forgot to mention what version of AGS you're using.
#332
FWIW, that does not happen on my end, Joseph!

BUG REPORT: Clicking "Find usage" on the automatically generated VIEW1 says "No usage found" but when I try and delete it, it (rightfully) complains about being the normal view for the, also automatically generated, EGO character.

BUG REPORT: Importing a sprite, creating a room object, clicking the "..." in the image property, picking the imported sprite doesn't actually change the image property. It leaves it at the default value (0) and hides the object properties in a rather weird fashion.

My March 2013 MAGS game KTX-1 has a game page: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1668/

Thanks for the great work, AGA!

SSX Tricky

Oh yeah, I had an unbelievable amount of fun with SSX Tricky on the PS2. If you're into these kinds of games at all (check youtube videos if unsure), that's a must-own.

Well, looks like I lost the entire project data. Both the AGS project and the artwork folder. When I cleaned up my FTP space on agser.me I apparently THOUGHT I had already pulled my files down when I transferred back home to my own apartement when I had actually not done that yet.

Sorry, this is a real shame, especially since people were interested in the source code, too. Looks like the recorded videos is all I have. Glad to hear that it is at least worked for you in some fashion, Shadow1000.

There is still a MAGS category on the site though...

Huh, I certainly can't find it when adding a game. I only see genre, setting and story as categories, no more short game, medium game, joke game etc. Am I not looking in the right place?
#338
Looking into it right now. Expect a patch ASAP!
#339
We won! Yay! Thank you so much for everybody that interacted and helped on stream, you've been a substantial part in this!
#340
Or just start the list a year ago or up until the point in time where we have the first game missing (and the author unavailable) even? And a new rule to MAGS that the game needs to be uploaded to the AGS games database, I don't see any harm in that either!

I definitely think MAGS games need some place to go - now that there's not even an MAGS game category on the site anymore.
