Wohoo! So this is what it feels to have an MAGS win under your belt! Thanks you everyone, it's been a blast streaming the process!

Oh I haven't posted here yet! You guys rock! I'm not going to lie, I was starting to doubt any productive group-effort would come from the AGS code release - but never count out the AGS devs! This is really awesome and promising!

Just saw this on twitter. Having a beer. Not like there were any good Lucasarts games in development anymore, so it's purely a 'theoretical' end-of-an-era kind of thing. Still.

IIRC 5 rooms or less indicates short, 20 or more is long. Of course these are super rough guidelines, you could easily have more then 5 rooms in a very short game. I think this info used to be on the AGS games page somewhere but was probably taken out. Potentially because room count is such a bad way of measuring game length.

[KTX-1]

KTX-1 is a game I made for the MAGS March 2013 competition. It was made in ~90 hours over the course of the month and the entire creation process from beginning to end, without leaving anything out, was livestreamed and recorded on twitch.tv/nihilstarcraft.

It features a lot of custom scripting (interface and minigames), several solutions to most puzzles (with consequences) and picture-in-pictures!

You play as an agent, briefed to defuse a bomb on a high-speed train. A DAW (Digital Warfare Assistant, ie. a hacker) is assigned to you and helps you through the game.

Pyxel looks very nice indeed, except apparently the (planned) animation features aren't implemented yet? It is beta after all I guess. But yeah, this could be the long-awaited free Pro Motion alternative for me! Exceptional find!
