Exactly, go to iccup.com and look for directions on how to get started playing StarCraft online. You can download a tiny little tool that will enable your installed SC client to access their servers instead of the standard bnet (you can still go on bnet of course). Then we can play.

You can then also choose to download Game Ranger, another tiny little program, on top of that and that way we can play even more comfortably, but both ways work.

Ok, I'm willing to play now. Did you set up Game Ranger or do you wanna try the normal ICCup version? Anybody else is invited as well of course! :D

I'll be online (both for normal SC games and on gameranger) in about 30 mins or so.

Sure! :D We're in the same timezone so it shouldn't be a problem I guess.

Ah that's even better! :D Sweet!

EDIT: Actually, that's pretty obviously a local setting since it's in the AGS preferences panel and not in the project somewhere... Dunno where my head is...
#868
That does work indeed, thanks. So F5 does windowed mode and CTRL+F5 does fullscreen, pretty neat!

Ah, didn't know that. That fixes my issue ALMOST completely. One thing why I'd still prefer another system than that is for games where more than one people works on the project. Like in FoY, we work using SVN Turtoise and some people like the windowed mode, others like fullscreen, always having to change that flag in the settings is a pain- in the behind... :D

Thanks for letting me know that setting exists in the first place tho!

I don't really like the way how it has become really annoying for game creators to quickly run/preview their game in fullscreen in the last versions of AGS. I know some people like the windowed mode better for these things but I'm totally different there, it only takes my monitor a fraction of a second to go to fullscreen mode and then I get a feel for the immersion. Currently, I always have to hit F7 or click "Build game", then click "Run Setup", then hit "Ok".

I experience the same, actually, on an Acer 24" widescreen. Whether or not side borders are checked our not doesn't really seem to make a difference (certainly not working properly) and what I get on the screen is really random depending on the game resolution. 640x400 will never center, there will be a black bar on the left side and the stuff missing on the right etc. 640x480 actually works in perfect fullscreen but is obviously stretched etc.

I know you can try and play with the OSC settings but with everything else (low-res-ish), the auto focus function works fine, with AGS games it doesn't.

@dkh - totally agree, I'd love to learn Korean, but unfortunately I only know two words (but by all accounts their sentence structure is virtually identical to Japanese, so you'd still gain something from it).

Ah okay. Damn, I was hoping their alphabet would be very similar or something. Anyways, I'd still check out the tool, that's for sure!

I play regularly on GameRanger now, it really is better than I thought at first. If  that doesn't run well on your system, I'm still up for normal games on Iccup etc. I'm up for a game atm!

(Crimson and Alpha are on GRanger regularly as well. The other seem to have stopped playing again.)

(HAVE to check out FW by the way, looks very interesting.)

Can you do Korean as well? Don't know_how_ related it is but I'd be heavily interested in that.

Since modules were mentioned, one thing I've been wondering for ages: is it okay to use modules/plugins (even if you haven't published them openly yet) that you made before?

Won't enter this one btw., just a general question.

Bouncy Boxing? :p

Haven't checked this out yet but will asap.
