Waitaminute- Oranges is Plum Green?

Probably the only reason I find that funny is because I just woke up, but funny it most definetly is.

If you're going to have links to outside sites, you really need to have some way to break out of those frames.  Otherwise it's just annoying.

But other than that, I quite like the design, and I'm looking forward to the game!

RickJ:  I believe you misunderstood Minimi's question "where do you draw the line."  There are many actions that cause "terror" (which is becoming a rediculously overused word) that do not involve bombs and hundreds upon hundreds of deaths.  Should you kill those "terrorists" too?  I'm freaking terrified of a guy back home who beat me up at least once a week for a whole school year.  Shall we give him leathal injection, hang him, or perhaps behead him? Is that going too far?  How many people have to be hurt before it's enough? 20? 50? 100? Give me a number and get back to me.

Darth:
QuoteAmericans didn't go to England and kill thousands of civilians. They declared war and fought, in the open, against their oppressors. Now, being greatly out-numbered, they resorted to tactics that could be considered 'questionable' (covert destruction, the targetting of officers, etc.) but they were attacking military targets.

I think you need to go and look at your history book again, my friend.  Have you ever heard of the Swamp Fox?  He was an American Revolutionary named Francis Marion. He would take his men into the woods and hide behind the trees.  As columns of British soldiers marched past, they would open fire.  Because it would take too long for them to load their muskets and they would be surrounded, the Redcoats didn't stand a chance. As a result, they often refused to enter any wooded area. If you don't feel like looking it up, Mel Gibson's character in "The Patriot" is loosly based off of him.

Furthermore, have you ever heard of the United Empire Loyalists?  They were the civilians living in North America who wanted to remain loyal to the crown.  If it was found out that you were a "British Sympathiser,"  you could be tarred and feathered, have scalding tea poured down your throat (as a protest against the East India Company monopolies), and "hung by the neck until you are dead".  Just because you wanted to remain British.  I call that pretty terrifying.

Yeah, that was a bit off topic. Sorry. Please continue with your regularly scheduled debate.

Yay! Congrats, Yufster.  It's nice to know that you're as crazy in real life as you are on the boards.  And by nice I mean very very frightening. :-*

I think the incoherent part is "Oo, what a money-maker, look at it there! Look at the way it's goin', oh but jesus..."

Again I says congradulations!

I have a song, but I have no microphone cause I'm a cheapskate.  So you all just get to enjoy the lyrics.

I've got Flashlight Brown's "Ready to Roll" stuck in my head.  The only song I know about being a Role-Playing geek.

The Rumpus Room / Re:Sam and Max Cancelled!

I only started playing LucasArts games recently.  I was starting to become a fan.

I haven't played Sam & Max Hit the Road, yet, but I was still going to buy SM2.  I was starting to trust LucasArts, thinking that they wouldn't do something so underhanded.

A while ago, I said that LucasArts was more icky than Sierra, because they weren't as personable with their gamers.  I then retracted that statement after playing some more LucasArts games.

It's back in effect.  Sierra at least didn't get our hopes up.

There's nothing at that URL, Chikago.  Try it again.

Plasticman: The problem is I don't like being preached at.  The movies I mentioned were illogical in their patriotism, especially Mother.

Guy is Communist, Father is Capitalist
Guy kills father.
Guy is beaten and arrested.
Mother becomes a communist to avenge her son.
Mother gets trampled to death by Imperial Cavalry in a communist rally.

And this is presented as a feel-good movie. I'm so confused.

That has got to be one of the strangest ideas I've ever heard of.  There are very few kinds of movies I don't like, and last time I checked I was still a girl.

I like special effects action movies, spy movies, romantic comedies, regular comedies, indie movies, silent movies, French movies, horror movies, mysteries, art cinema, book adaptations, animated movies, children's movies, historical movies, musicals... about the only kind of movie that I can think of that I don't like are Soviet Propaganda films (The Red and the White and Mother... soooooo bad).

Absolute favourite would have to go to the special effects action movies though.  Things like Spider-Man, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean, Dragonheart and such forth.

... I think that trumps PhilRoberts for quick dismissal of AGS.

$50???  I wouldn't pay that much Canadian for a hardcover book!

I had a poem published in a book like that, from the National Poetry Assoication or something.  24 line limit, the "winner" had a 36 line poem. Boo.

But major congrats, Flippy.

Ugh, I hate posting right after myself.  In a horrible twist of irony, I only seem to update this when I go back.  Check the first post for updates (downdates?).

Any Ontario types interested in going?  By air, the cheapest flight I've found is $278, Round-trip Economy Class from Air Canada.

By land, Greyhound costs $229.50 round trip.  But if two people go together, it only costs $259.50 for both of them.

(Fingers crossed that I'll be allowed to go!)

I definetly vote for Klaus. It's the most original of the five, and I really like having the "news" section available on the front page.

LostTraveler: I'm sorry, but you've done one of my pet peeves in your walk cycle.

Breasts do not automatically equal a W-shape!  ARGH!

And the bounce you've added is really bizzare.  Because the shoulers aren't moving at all, nor the hips, the breasts wouldn't move.

Speaking of shoulers and hips, the shoulders you've drawn are really wide. She looks like a linebacker.  As for hips, when a girl walks in a short skirt, she'd rarely, if ever, walk with her legs that far apart.

I hope you don't mind, but I did a bit of an edit.

I narrowed the shoulders, brought the feet more together, and changed the breasts. Hope that helps!
