Enter The Haggis: I sincerely doubt that anyone is going to have heard of these guys, but they're a celt-rock group from Toronto.  Authors of such songs as "Ride My Monster":

QuoteI'm floating 'cross the loch on my monster again
My monster's always with me, he's my very special friend.
I'm going to see my lassy, Miss Suzy McGoo
And, if she wants to, Sue McGoo can ride my monster, too!

Makes me giggle everytime I think of that song.

The Avalanches: an Australian group that takes samples from old movies and mixes them together to make songs. Frontier Psychiatrist is my personal favourite.

Tee hee! I have no idea why, but I find that site incredibly humorous.

Wait... I do know why!

SUGAR RUUUUUUUUUUUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your art is very good, but on the website I think you mislabled the pictures: the picture of a house is labled as "the map," and vice versa.

It looks like you're off to a good start!

I've been on a break from school for the past week, and I just got back to residence.  And I'm not going home again for a MONTH!  This may not seem like a lot, but I usually go home every weekend.

So I booted up my computer (yay! I get a computer to myself again!) when I got back into my room, and realized that this thread has finally decided to move.  In celebration, I posted in it.

Yup, that's today so far.

Argh! I can't make a new one for another week.  Totoro or RE, if you want to make another one, be my guest.

I'm voting for Mr. Klaus.  That design is awesome, and I really like the news section, and navigation seems quite simple.  Also, having a "community" link at the bottom instead of a "forum" link makes a much more convenient place to put things like the AGSers map.

Two things I'd change:

1) Instead of "Games Database," maybe have "Download Database," because then there's a spot to download Plug-ins.

2) That picture of CJ along the top... it' just a little creepy.  Someone just finding the site for the first time would be pretty confused. I'd recommend a banner made up of various popular games, sort of like we have now.

Dragonrose presents: TRANSLATIONS BASED ON THE PICTURES AND NOTHING ELSE!

Pimmy the pencil watched tv
He was watching "My Mother the Car"
He was so terrified that he ran away.
A search was organized, and they looked in Leo's house, Sammy's House, Pimmy's own house and the Het Park.
Reward posters were put up around town with composite drawings of Pimmy- but those composites never look right.
Pimmy saw the poster, and realized he was missed. So he went home.
"My Mother the Car" was still on TV.
Ohmy goodness! There's something outside!
AAAAAAHHH! It's My Mother the Car!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! Now it's in his house!
The end.

What does "droog" mean?

Up until yestereday it was "Frontier Psychiatrist" by the Avalanches, which is incredibly hard to sing because it's just a bunch of samples from old movies mixed together.

But then I went and saw the musical "The Producers" and the song has changed to random snippets of songs that I can remember both the words and tune to.

I have really weird dreams when I'm sleeping away from home.

When I went camping one time, I dreamt that my parents were arguing in high pitched squeaky voices, and then it started to rain so I used an enormous umbrella, and I could hear the rain drops hitting the umbrella.  I woke up to find that it wasn't my parents argueing, but a bunch of red squirells in the trees over my campsite, chattering away at eachother and dropping pine cones on the tent I was sleeping in.

Another time, I was at a hotel with my parents and my sister.  I dreamt that I was trying to conduct a brass band, but the tuba player kept on playing out of turn, making a horrible rumbling noise.  Waking up, it turns out my dad was just snoring.

My first night at university, I dreamt that everyone on my floor had turned into Weebl and Bob type things, only without the speech bubbles.I couldn't understand a word anybody was saying.

I love everybody who's posted, because they often can't think of anything to love about another person other than their name and/or avatar.  I'm including myself in that statement.

I love the Ultimo (I'm NOT writing that whole name out!) because when he has an opinion, he sticks to it, and that's cool.

This is a bit different, AGA.  MHawk didn't have anything to show other than screenshots from the original game, which is why he got flamed to a nice golden brown.  Unless you're just saying that someone else was working on it.  I should probably just shut up because I have no real idea what that link means.

I quite like the look of the background, Nemo. I never got very far in KQIII (stupid Manananananan... always with the killing!) but isn't your background a bit dark? It's kind of hard to see.

Ooooo... that looks really creepy, Sully! It's probably just because I know the game is about Zombies, but still there is much awesomeness.

General Discussion / Re:About Mittens

The reason it actually says "Mittens MEMBER" is that
"member" is put under everybody's name, to state that they are registered to the forums.  So it doesn't say Mittens Member, it says Mittens.  Member. Two seperate things.

There was CAC as well (Canadian AGS Community), as well as SUYMOT (for Australians). I know CAC has disapeared, but I'm not sure about SUYMOT.

We've had such activities before in the Gen forum.  The problem is we end up with pages upon pages of one word responses that didn't really add anything to the forum in general.  It's something that would work fine in real life or on an IRC channel, but on a forum it just becomes a convoluted mess.

I love Bruised because she always has something inappropriate to say that makes me giggle like a school girl.

(p.s. I'm not posting twice for twice the love, I just wanted to say that I like Melia)

Ideas:

-Put it on a CD and give that directly to your teacher (if you don't have a burner, maybe a friend does?)
-Hand in complete and detailed instructions on how to download it from a website (go to www.blah.com, click the "TEACHER TEACHER!! DOWNLOAD DRAGONSLAYERS HERE! CLICK ME!" link, etc.)
-err.. that's all I can think of

I love VWG because he has a zany sense of humour- and because his new signature animation is awesome with a capital AWESOME.
