My favourite sketch artists of all time are Wayne and Shuster. Their stuff is incredibly rediculous, but still incredibly intellectual at the same time.  Like their spoof of the Scarlet Pimpernel, called "The Brown Pumpernickle."  Everytime the Brown Pumpernickle saves someone from the guillotine, he leaves a pumpernickle loaf.  Crazy? Oh yeah! Literary? You betcha! Incredibly funny (or at least, funnier then I'm able to describe it) Yes in deedy do!

A day in the life of Dragonrose:

A horrid cough that has been sticking with me since New Years continued to plague me today.  Happy Monthiversary, you stupid cough!

I worked on an essay about the use of asides in Beowulf today, and I'm quite pleased with myself.  I got two pages written, and have a really good thesis.

I also discovered a passage that connects the building that I have one of my tutorials in to the complex that all my other classes are in.  I never have to go outside again!

I got my sister to agree to go see my current favouite band Enter the Haggis with me this weekend.

Life is good.

Farlander: The virus or the Angel? ;D

But for those of us who can't stand those stupid stupid "I am from Nigeria and I want to give you money for no reason" email scams, check out www.africanscam.co.uk .  Some guy outscams his scammers, and makes the scammer look like a moron in the process. It's hilarious. But it's a big download, so be warned.

Hi Iwan, welcome to the forums.

You've got a really neat art style; it seems like everything is sort of swollen.  What's your game about?

Oops. Sorry about forgetting the link. I was on my way out the door.  :-[

Mmm.. Acronymlicious.

Anyway, a guy named Brian Provacino has developed an emulator for the Game Boy Advance that plays old AGI games! You need to get Flash Cards and a reader, but you can download the emulated games from his website.  He's got the first four KQ's, LSL1, SQ 1 and 2, and a whole bunch more.

He's even got a PC game boy emulator, so you can download PC games emulated for Gameboy to play on your PC.  That just kind of hurts my brain, though.

My great-grandfather on my paternal side was on a tug-of-war team. He competed in Expo 1893, and in a pull that lasted so long the time wasn't recorded, his team trounced the American team in "the greatest (pull) ever witnessed."  My cousins are on the same team as my great-grandpa, and even hold the same position he did- the little strong guy who keeps the team under weight restrictions :-)

I don't know specifics about my family further back than that, but I know quite a bit about my Clan, the MacLeods of Harris.  We're decended from fairies, which I think is absolutly cool.

Appologies for the continuation of the thread-jacking, but OH MY GOD yes I remember RPGMaker!  He forced two threads about KQ2VGA to be locked because he flooded them with messages about how he could send us screenshots of his "monster folder" or something like that, thereby PROOVING that he was making the most awesomest game of all time. It had 156247325634 levels and 45564515789453 monsters, after all.

Minimi: You have used up your smiley quota for the rest of the month with that last post.

Now, to PhilRoberts.  A 45 minute introduction? To be quite honest, it's going to take something amazing to get someone to sit and watch 45 minutes of exposition before they get around to playing the game.  And at 50-60 hours, it would take me personally about half a year to finish playing.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it.

For my first attempt at template making, I attempted to copy the one from Gabriel Knight 1. There are no graphics, but I made up a controls interface, an inventory interface, and I borrowed *coughstolecough* Dorcan's Gabriel Knight dialog script, besides the usual icon interface.  Could someone please test it before I release it officially? Please and thank you!

Edit: Okay, I'm a moron and I forgot to post a link. Here it is.

Pleurghburg: Dark Ages.  Chrille's game of awesomeness.

This is answering both LucasFan's question and Ytterbium's.

Look, we've got a world eating robot, a zombie, a dragon, a pirate, Jesus (though I haven't seen him around in a while) and Helm.  What do we need with Vampires?
#598
I have a template similar to the GK one, including Dorcan's Dialogue stuff.  It only has six cursor modes and it doesn't have the tape recorder, though. I'll see if I can polish it a bit.

When is the ceremony?  I wasn't able to find the information on the website.

Well, terran, there was actually some reaseach done in the seventies about making jacks for people's heads.  However, they only put information in, instead of it being sent both ways.  The operation was done on a blind man so that he could bypass his eyes, which were the problem, not his brain. See a news article about it here

So we could one day have games that existed entirely in our heads.  Ooooooo....
