Confirmed rumours of a new adventure game from that girl who made Gabriel Knight. Forget her name.

Jane Jensen.  Project Jane-J (there were copyright conflicts with the original name, so right now it has no name)  is being released Christmas next year.

*insert excited happy noises here*

I, however, am wary of trusting Sierra.  I'm not going to buy the new LSL game right away: I've been burned a few too many times- QG5 and KQ8 leap to mind- for me to be rushing to unthinkingly buy any random adventure that Sierra produces.  I'm going to wait and see.

Would anyone be interested in a random Affiliate program, using a iframe as then update only one JS instead of having to hand new scripts out

Affiliating what?  Where would the buttons go? What's an iframe?

General "HUH?"

Junc:

I've got the Monkey Madness one, (it only cost me $17 CANADIAN nya nya nynya nya!)  but I haven't seen the Adventure Collection one except online.

I've wanted to play DOTT and Sam & Max ever since they came out and they played trailers at the computer store.  My parents, however, thought DOTT would be too scary (tentacles=octupus=Cthulhu, I guess), and they didn't approve of Sam & Max either, though I can't remember why.  And everyone here has nothing but good stuff to say about FOA.

Also, to reassure parents hopefully a phone number or phone numbers will be available for a parent to contact the Mittens supervisors (or previous ones if necessary).

Yes please!  I think if my parents actually talk to someone they'd be okay with it.  I was supposed to go to New York for a school trip last year anyways.  It just never happened because of stupid George "The Chimp" Bush and his stupid warmongering.  We'd even paid for most of it when the school board cancelled all out of country trips.

Grrr....

Will there be some way to skip over the robot fight, or put it on auto pilot or something? I really enjoyed the original, but I was never ever able to beat that part.

I HATE arcade sequences. :P

By the by- awesome graphics, man!  Can't wait for it to come out!

I actually found the problem.  I was missing a couple of lines of script in the room where the dialog takes place.  I didn't see them mentioned in Dorcan's tutorial, so I didn't bother checking in the download.  Oh well.

I never played FOA, so I couldn't kill Sophia Hapgood.  I DID however, let Prince Edgar remain dead at the end of KQVII more times than I can count.

FEAR ME! FOR I WITHHOLD THE STUPID LITTLE CAT LIFE! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have come to accept the fact that if I do original drawings for all the backgrounds in my game, Candace Grace will be released in time for my grandchildren to play it.  So I've started experimenting with a new style- which is basically mashing a bunch of photographs together and painting over them.

This is my first attempt.  It's made from four seperate images.  And yes, I know that the picture in the foreground doesn't match.

Does it look okay? Anything to improve on? Scrap the idea? Your thoughts and opinions!

Totally useless comment:  Reading the title of the post, my first thought was "Holy Crap! Kikme released a game!"

More useful comment: Downloading now

If there are other girls going, I MIGHT be able to convince my parents to let me go too. I think they'd panic at the idea of me going anywhere with only guys that I've never met in person.

I'll have to stop buying things other than food until next September to afford it, but I'll try my best to get there.

Okey dokey, I'm having problems with this again, and I don't think I'm going to be figuring this out on my own anytime soon.

I can't seem to get the dialog option list to show up.  This is silly, because I'm using the exact same script as was in the demo game, I just changed the name "Denise" to "Mom."  I go to room100 just fine, and the talking heads show up quite nicely. But that's all I have. No dialog options, no conversation. What's going on?

ARGH! FILTER INDUCED BLINDNESS!!! :P

Sorry.  I like the line art, it is quite nifty.  But just because you have all those nice filters doesn't mean you need to use them!

Solid grey would be fine for the road.  With that strange blurry filter it looks like a river.  If, on the other hand, it IS a river, it should be more blue and shouldn't just stop abruptly at the cave mouth.

The grass (?) around the edge doesn't need to be outlined.  Grass grows in patches, so there'd be some spots where you could see rock in the center of the green, and some splotches of green out on the rock seperate from the rest of the grass.

I like the composition, though, and your colour choices are nice.

For some bizzarre reason, I don't think the Dialog Competition has been a success.  Maybe next month should go back to just writing plots?  I enjoyed that set of rules.

Okay, maybe I didn't explain what I'm trying to do so well.  I shall now add... PICTURES!

I just thew this together, so things don't quite line up.  Anyway, what I want to happen is that when you click on the left arrow, the guitar case will go to the spot of the dress, the library card goes to the space of the guitar case, the book goes to the space of the library card and so forth.  If you click the right arrow, the opposite would happen.

LucasArts inventory is set up sort of like a grid, with the up and down arrows changing what row you're looking at.  If we were to look at the row beneath this image, it would be a whole different set of images.   I just want to bump things along one item at a time.
#715
Is it possible to scroll inventory items from left to right instead of just up and down?  I haven't been able to find anything in the manual about it.

The idea of the broomstick hobby-horse gave me the giggles.  Mainly because I did that sort of thing as a kid, but it's still a funny image.

Mmmmmm.... Legolas :-*

Possessing a rare combination of wisdom and humility, while serenely dominating your environment you selflessly use your powers to care for others.

Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.

Galadriel is a character in the Middle-Earth universe. You can read more about her at the Galadriel Worshippers Army.

And

Interesting combination.

Sorry for digging up a really old post, but I'm trying to use Dorcan's GK dialogue system, but I can't figure out where I write the responses to questions.
Thanks in advance.

EDIT:Never mind, I figured it out. It just took me a bit. Bleah.

Flippy linked this back in the summer.  It's a very cool game- Myst meets Gnarled Treeroots.

I can't write Greek either, but no charset change is going to cure that.

Anyways, YAY for more objects in a room!
