Nostradamus: You can play three of them four times.  You forgot about the Paladin class!  It doesn't change QGIII all that much, but there's whole storylines and characters you never see if you aren't playing Paladin.  I can't really remember if there was a difference in Dragon Fire, but there are whole bunch of new skills that the Paladin has, so there might be some story change.

Computer now is mine!
It is not a piece of crap
It is AMD

Old computer sits
Gathers dust, a useless thing
'Twas Pentium II

Only problem now
All files on old computer
Not joined to network

Game held up right now
Must transfer files, move to res.
Candace Grace: Run Hot.

But what if he doesn't really leave? What if this is all an elaborate hoax perpetuated by The Government, The Military and Walt Disney to make us write nice things?

HA! It's funny because it's Paranoia that's leaving, and I'm acting all paranoid... I'll shut up now.

Come back when troubles aren't so troubling.

Oh gosh... this one's hard.  I like most of the Sierra series I've played, but for different reasons:

Gabriel Knight: awesome story telling
QFG: replayability x4!
SQ: soooo funny
KQ: endless story, great fantasy

That's a small example of why I like the different games.  I don't think that I could actually pick a favourite.  They're all too good!

P.S. to Squinky: Avoid QG5.  It's almost nothing like the other games. It's more like a straight RPG than a hybrid, with references to old QFG randomly thrown in.

Blame it on the States

States respond with speed!
"Nay! You northern guys did it!
It's not terrorists."

And so debate goes

When I was ten, I really wanted to be an actress.  I even took three years of acting lessons at a local theatre.  However, that got me laughed at by a bunch of snobs with agents at the "School for the Gifted" (gag!) that I went to.  So I concentrated on other things- writing, mainly.  I even wrote two books and plotted two more, thinking that one day I'd be a published author.

However, I've recently started to notice that the snobs-with-agents have not really amounted to much. So now I want to be an actress again, and I haven't written any stories except for school in I don't know how long.  Weird how that worked out.

Bwahaha... it seems that AGSers have been getting married for quite a while!

EvenWolf is marrying Pesty, with Visti officiating. Scid, Stratson, GameFreek(aka Ari), Andail, Evil, Femme, Miez and AGA have all come to watch. AGA has developed a fear of weddings.

Stratson and Miez don't have real wedding guests underneath them.  They're just put in there because they were wearing appropriate clothes in the original pictures.

Congrats, Flip. I think you've been a heck of a lot more productive in your one year, than I've been in 1.5

January 2002: After being completely ignored as the artist for a QFG fangame that never got off the ground, quietly joined the ez-board forum with the long and convoluted name "Roseofthedragon."  Posted in some threads about girls as either characters or as game makers.

July 2002, switched over to the Yabb forum, changed my name to Dragonrose.  Made a joke that got Pessi mad at me (I don't think he even remembers), got really embarrassed and left the forum for several months.  No one noticed.

Eventually, came back, released a game called Wanderer that sucked big time. Petaglair said it sucked, people got mad at him, and I had to explain that IT REALLY DID SUCK, and I'd even e-mailed him saying that it sucked.

February 2003: officially started working on Candace Grace.  Only have three puzzles programmed so far.

Oh, I am so in on this one. Prepare to be dazzled!

Whoops.  That's what I get for not reading the entire post.

My thoughts on how it could be set up.  I personally don't think it would be that hard to implement.  I am curious about what that thing in the corner is, though.
#773
What is the game about?
#774
Just so that I have some proof in this thread that this game will eventually exist... screenshots for your viewing pleasure!

Candace's computer desktop.  Note the very pretty icon not in line with the others!

The city map that lets you travel around from place to place.  It works the same as the ones in Gabriel Knight and P:DA.

And just a quick explanation about how the GUI will work:

The BOOT is used for walking, and that's just what it'll do.

The LIPS are for conversation and regular speech.

The OPEN HAND is interaction (push, pull, feel, etc.)

The CLOSED HAND is taking things.

The EYE is for identifying an object (i.e. "That's the door to your bed room.")

The MAGNIFYING GLASS is for getting greater detail, such as the condition an object is in or emotions connected to it.

The POCKET icon takes you to the inventory, and your currently selected inventory item shows up in the black box next to it.

The NOTE icon takes you to the song index, which works just like the inventory- you can select songs to sing directly at people or things.

The GUI is always visible at the top of the screen, except during cutscenes, and the cursors are identicle to the icons, but they have little blue cross-hairs.

I'm done.

Edit of DOOM!: There were more pictures here. Now I've realized that if I keep doing graphics the way I was, with animations and all that, this game will be released just about in time for my grandchildren to play it. So the old style graphics are mostly gone. Good-bye. Nice knowing you.  These two are the only ones that are staying the same, though the GUI is probably changing.

... with messages being clicked through one word at a time.

You CAN cut off your legs with a rusty wood saw.  It's just not necessarily a good idea.

Yay! Excellent program, Rode.  Old files will still work, right?

Imitating Ghormak.

Washing dishes.

Drawing pretty pictures for my game.

My initial thought on seeing the first one was "ARGH!!! TEH LENZ FLAY0R!!!1!!"  The version without the lens flare is fantastic. Actually having the moon up there instead of a the lensflare looks really cool- it sort of reminds me of Native American art.   I also like the idea of the double text, but IMHO it would look a bit better if the back version was like a shadow instead of going off in two different directions. The way you have it now it's very hard to read.

Also, there is a circle between the word "raven" and the  raven itself.  I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

That was really cool, guys!  Three reccomendations:

1) Some way to pause it.  If you have to stop for any reason, it's a bit of a pain to have to watch the first part over again so that you can get to what you stopped at.

2) Grammar, people!  I caught quite a few spelling and punctuation errors.

3) (Must be read in a very whiny tone of voice) I wanna be in the next one!

Pretty cool photos.  But what is "street fishing?" I've never heard of it before.
