I am an english major, and I edit stories for my mom, a writer.
I am also very good at writing stories and developing plot for games.

Unfortunatly, I have no examples of what I've done other than Wanderer, and Wanderer was a crap game. :-(

Contact: Anything in my profile, though E-mail is prefered.
Availablity: I am available almost anytime, because I have no social life.

Bandwidth statement wrong
Of haiku, Chris Jones approves
Fear not the haiku

Single statement post
Is not what thread is about
Thread about Haiku

Continue haiku
And be blessed always and ever
With haiku-y joy

General Discussion / Re:What are you like?

We just had a baaaaaaad experience with a preachy person back on the E-Z board forums.  Ah Santiagoro: gone, but not forgotten... DARN!

Real Life Dragonrose is not as talkative as messageboard Dragonrose.  She prefers text to speech, loves to be the centre of attention but never is. :-(

Visti, form so off!
'Tis five seven five again
Six it is right out

Peaceful is haiku
Not a tool of warmongers
'Cause that's just silly

Abandon this war
Or speak to you I shall like
Yoda speaks often

Anger leads to hate
Hate leads to fear, fear leads to
Suffering- Yoda

Why am I obsessed
With Yoda of Star Wars Fame
He's a cool Muppet

Beware the police
That busta cap in yo' ass
If you break haiku

Five seven five
Only sylables aloud
Else you not haiku

Other forms are hard
I.E. Septerania
If I spelled that right

Certain number beats
Last words always changing 'round
It's hard to describe

Limmericks are hard,
With aliens from venus,
Often are naughty

I like the haiku
So even, never changing
So I'll stick to this

Cap'n Pestilence
Your animation has thought?
I am quite confused

This is quite normal
I am always confuséd
I twist syllables!

To make the words fit
I use punctuation
If it goes or not

I like haiku thread
It reveals great joyfulness
It is very zen

'Tis never too late
To speak with only haiku
For great fun they are

Why do all haikus
End up with speech like Yoda,
Word order, reversed

Haikus are quite fun
Except if you don't know how
To make good haiku

Or you could copy
From Bart Simpson's Guide to Life
The guide to po'try

Note this clever skill
I have with apostrophe
Make six beats to five

I stop haiku now
I have no more words to say
My speech is quite done.

Quote from: CheapAlert on Thu 02/01/2003 18:56:35Sierra is based upon a sierra...

CheapAlert, what does this mean? I've been trying to figure that out with absolutly no success. The company is based upon a mountain?

Anyway, I think that the main difference between Sierra and Lucasarts is the way they treat the players.  Sierra always seemed to want the players to have fun with the games, using things like that Trite Phrase thing in LSL2, or going crazy with easter eggs, or making customizable characters in QFG (yeah, I know it's partially because it's half RPG, but still).  Lucasarts is a lot like Lucasfilm- if there is anything they can do to milk more money from a franchise, they do it.  Canceling fangames, Monkey Island 4... you get the idea.

I must also say that I am incredibly biased, having never played LucasArts adventure games until I started getting involved with the AGS forums.  Take anything I've said with a grain of salt.

Dragonrose's list of Excellent AGSing Music

Lorena McKennit (I don't think I spelled that right)
Barenaked Ladies
Bachman Turner Overdrive
The Guess Who
They Might Be Giants
Fastball
Moxy Fruvous
Blink 182
Sesame Street (I can never get enough of "C" is for Cookie)

And a bunch of songs that I listen to over and over but I don't really listen to any thing else by the band:
Bitter Sweet Symphony-The Verve
Pinball Wizard- The Who
The Freshman- The Vervepipe
The Theme Songs for Fraggle Rock and Inspector Gadget
Weapon of Choice- Fatboy Slim

So much tasty musical goodness.

Petaglair's statement is fine, because I e-mailed him and said that it was a terrible game.  It only took me forever to make because I'm a lazy person and almost forgot about it for six months.

I actually made this game almost a year ago, and at the time I didn't even understand what a "resolution" was.  I thought it had something to do with how big my screen was. Percy is actually just drawn over a RON character, and the Bunyip was my first attempt in my entire life at animation. I was Uber-noob. This game is just short of me hitting random buttons and posting the results on the internet..

This game was never intended to make any sort of sense. It's just me goofin' around.

Do you like hour games?

Do you like lack of plot?

Do you like bad animations?

Then download WANDERER- all the skill of an hour game, with about a thousand times the development time!

Translation: I made a game.  It is buggy.  Woo!

Edit: Right click on the link and select "Save target as"

I do the scrambling thingy too.  When I do credits for movies games or comics, you'll find it's been worked on by Christine McLeod, Kris MacLoud, Chris "Mac" Lowd, Enid Sirhc-Doelcam  (Read it backwards) and so forth.  That way my name is all over it, but I don't need to worry about people figuring out what my real name is.

But now you know my secret, and I must kill you all. ;D
