I think to clarify we had no problem with original adaptations that add something totally new to pre existing legends. More that you might borrow an existing monster rather than recreate the odyssey as an adventure game. I don't really take issue with you using a character or an idea from a pre existing story as long as you are creating something new and original with it, rather that totally recreating a pre existing work. Does that make sense? Sox do you have any thoughts?

Is it legal to make a MAGS game that is based from a pre-existing short story? I've an idea in mind, but it would be completely adapted from something that already exists

I see no problem with that as long as you're adapting it into something new, not a copy + paste

I'm interested to see how this could be used with AGS, dynamic lighting would be great but my brain couldn't think of a way to use it other then regions with different views!

sadly I can't help you with advice on Photoshop, I use Anime Studio and sketchbook pro for 90% of my stuff.
I think with this style you would be fine with using the same principles for the backsprite

I liked the idea of embedding it but I would be happy with being able to link to it too

oh I loved the gobliins games (the prince buffoon I think it was called). Tho as a child I had a real problem getting it to run on dos.  :/

Only minor thing for me was the amount of speech for the tutorial/backstory and as such I missed the whole map thing for a few minutes. I prefer to just dive into a game but I completely understand why it was done in that style though so it's more my problem than yours

We made it so you could stop talking to him at any time for the players that don't like a lot of dialogue

fishing rod to catch the gold fish. I have the string with the paperclip attached, the pencil, the coin, the piece of candy, a paperclip, the nail file, and a piece of string. I tried using the string with the paperclip attached with the pencil but that didn't work. I need a hint about where to get the stick. I think it may be in the painting above the purse but I don't know how to get to it.

That was pretty hard going... I don't think I have left my computer desk much the whole month, can't wait to see the other games

Still... If Ponch is pleased by this screenshot, is there any chance of an extension?

We are very close to being finished, but a little extra time for polish is never a bad thing, so I wouldn't mind if an extension happened myself

I'm really not sure if I will finish on time as I'm also working on a MAGS game, but this is what I have so far, more of a concept at the moment.. but here it is
