I need hints, please use hide, I don;t need the exact solution.
I have the keycard and I need a password for the camera 5 and the steel door.
Where is it?
Is it something to do with the memo about "Twice did the twenty - eight day of the seventh month"
Can you as well provide me the code hence I really get stuck on this one?

To all moderators, I wasn't certain of the nature of this topic so don;t kill me..

Well , like the rest of you I have tried AGS 3.0. I've changed AGS version many times to the past and I didn;t have any trouble adjusting. But the very difference between those two versions makes it very hard/impossible for me. It's not that the interface has changed and some functions have been added. It's that it gives me a feeling that this version lacks that friendly character that AGS 2.72 has. I used to post at the beginners section trying to help people out. Nowadays I don;t even try. Except to a few occasions. Ghost said transition was weird but nevertheless funny. I just feel AGS has lost that blue cup feeling. CJ I know you put a lot of effort to add features to AGS making it more possible for the engine to compete with others , but I don;t know i just feel that way. I miss the window with all the modules. I miss when you made an error a line with the script popped up on you, scaring you.

I know this has been done. But I made the code and I thought it was wasting my disc space. It probably not gonna work with AGS 3.0 . But it works with the official version still.

This does what it says. Helps you make easily scrollable GUI's height width doesn;t matter. Scrolls to four directions. And speed can be set.

While i was talking to MSN three / four days ago I started to smell sth burning after a glimpse i realised it was my PC. I closed it fast. All my work on LC3 was gone all my savegames on Art of Theft all my work on Knights of Kooragaloot gone.. Everything. But thank god I keep backups. If I hadn't there would be no chance of making anothe game from the frustration.

Well, you get the chance to select a cameo appearance for the game. The cameo appearance can be or a Video Game Character, or a Movie Character or An Actor/Actress...
You'll get your name in the special thanks to credits.. and just about that...

Description:
           Provides a musical system similar to the one in LC3..
          In fewer words when you exit a room the track position
          will be saved so when you re-enter the room the track
          will play from where you left it.

SEQUEL to LONE CASE: Locomotive Breath

After the demise of the planet because of the nuclear blast, what was once pure is now dirty what was alive is now dead , what was blur is now clear , what was courage is now fear.


Dave Dell now , four years later after what happened on Lone Case: Locomotive Breath, finds himself in a camp , where a group of survivors have gathered in an effort to survive. The planet has become a wasteland, people believe that all this was plan of god, and since water has become so rare , there are wars to control it.

7 hours, have been given to Dave to give away his water supplies to a local criminal mind called Van McCoy. The only hope of the team of survivors is to travel to Palm Springs where rumour has it that it's the last human paradise. Will Dave find some way out of this situation?

Well, self explanatory.. I 've always seen weird images for avatars.. As for mine it's an inventory item from CMI.. It's a cup o Joe.. And the cup is decorated by the lucas arts logo..

Well, I was checking out the hints and tips section and as usual since many people create topics about the same thing and other forum rules are getting violated I was wondering how come and there is nobody here that's keeping an up to date site with all walkthroughs about every game that gets released.. I'm sure someone does but it's actuallly unknown to a big part of the AGS forums.. Some people ask me to send them a walkthrough so they can use it on their site.. I know the thread says hints but only a 2% asks for a hint. The rest ask for a solution.. All the topics related to my games stop when I post the walkthrough..

Anyway, and another matter. I've put hint system on my game.
Those of you who have played Goblins will understand what I'm talking about
for the rest of you, well Goblins was an adventure game and it had  a very useful hint system that could be used a certain number of times per save game...so that people wouldn't exploit it.. It opened up a GUI and gave up the full solution... My GUI is displaying a message with the solution for every puzzle in the room. I'm thinking of changing it to display hints instead..

Beginners' Technical Questions / Bug[Solved]

I have videos on my game(wmv files). They were on a folder called Data on the game's compiled folder and there was no problem calling them from there. when I added speech and music something weird happened and i had to move the files to the complied folder to get them working. I'm using AGS 2.72.

Ok, I've had Dualnames for like 6-7 years. It's a good nick but rather boring and of no sense. I'm seriously thinking of changing it. You think I should or not? i know this might be a little off topic /stupid as well, so don't kill me.

AGS Console v4.00

Remember Quake Engine with that useful cheating console well you can add one to your game. Mainly used for debug ...

You can type in now like you did on HL2 so if you want you can add cheat codes.... Hehehe. And many more things to debug.
Really's worth it. v2.72. I don't know if it works with AGS 3.00.

Well Ashen had some troubles on his internet connection. Anyway the version is up...

AGSCon2.guf (3.0 GUI - not tested the module in in 3.0, but there's no reason most/all of it wouldn't work just fine)

Module:  SlideShow GUI.

Version: 1.10

Require: Artwork.gue(included in the zip)

This modules provides a GUI where you can cycle through images like a slideshow on Windows XP. The number of images is infinite. As long as you can provide the space... The whole code is commented so you won't have any problem setting it to your needs.
       


Version of AGS:
2.72(It should work with newer versions though)

UPGRADE:
Added Randomize Function and Fixed Crash Chances to 50% now to 0%.

In a game I'm currently working on(lone Case 3 that is) I decided to enable the player to either select keyboard or mouse controls(mouse is the default.) I've been checking things and it's perfect. You can change anytime to keyboard or mouse. But I think that the default keys for actions might give trouble to players.
I'm having a custom GUI where you can see
listing of controls but should I make a GUI whereas people can change their controls to whatever they want?
Or just give me some advice on which would be the best keys to use?
The Default are
Q:Talk
W:Interact
E:Look
R:Uses current inventory item if any
Tab:Inventory
A:Cycles items
F1: Opens GUI with listing of controls
F5:Saves
F7:Loads
F12: Sets control back to mouse.
The mouse control method is CMI-like(Curse of Monkey Island)
