I meant the engine, not the forums, u buffoons, and this topic is old af :grin::grin::grin:

I just waited from anyone we would strike a deal with to tell us to switch engines, but that didn't happen, so we sticked with AGS.

Not sure if u saw but i gave him a different ags game to test and it sported the same issue, i also uploaded a different test game made with AGS 3.4 to see if the issue persists in the latest.

Until I Have You, which has gone through as many updates as humanly possible, is now on sale for 66% off, on Steam.

Looking goood <3 Keep us posted!

From personal tests, it's the redistributables. I had my game installed on various OS and when i managed to replicate the problem, it was solved by installing VC libraries.

For your information, and to keep things transparent.

1) I love you m0ds, and i think it's hard to do this on your own. But I have to make this post, cause I'm mad.
2) Every time I made the client (twice actually, it was just me working a month or so before the ceremony, and it was literally just me and #clubgalen. Wyz was always busy with the exams, and everyone know how much i value his work and ethic, but this was Wyz setting up the things, and me taking over. To begin with, the community cared initially about this, like absolute zero. And only when we had it out, and after the ceremony did it enjoy a small warm response. The fist time I had the chance to test with about 20 people, mostly AGS friends, and gladly that went more or less well. The second time, and the last one, people focused on the lesbian joke more than they cared about this year's ceremony (and that year's ceremony), which says an awful lot about this community. There's still the chat log of people commenting on boobs in vulgar ways and then making a post on that topic shaming me, so heaven forbid, I walked out. But there was a somewhat proper transition, I open-sourced the files, and I had some back and forth pms with Snarky and then some, and suddenly the lesbian jokes, that also existed on that version, offended no one, rofl. It was on the back-end, yeah, that makes sense.

3) I did this twice, on my own more or less. AGS Friends, like m0ds, bici, nemo, peder and countless others did their part, but the client part was more or less on me.
As far as i know the client situation is pretty stable after Snarky's reign, so.

If you really think about it, each year, it's just one person doing all the work.
This year it's m0ds, last year it was Snarky, and so on.

Well, i have to say, that even though it's a platformer, the game is entirely coded in such way that saves don't matter or get affected at all, because the game stores important data, in non-ags files instead. Much less data than an adventure game sure, but still, it's amazing to be able to patch the game and not care about this for a change.

Recruitment / Unity super secret project

Alright, here goes the most common topic of all time.

I'm looking forward to designing a game in Unity, I've begun setting up the workflow, I'm unfortunately leaving AGS, sorry, rip and all that.
I'm looking towards a person that can create simple 2d graphics, the way you can depict the world depends on how we'll end up doing this, possibly something close to Until I Have You in terms of art production. Way less possibly, but in requirements about that.

I have begun setting up a design doc, this is a paid job, but i can only somewhat offer royalties, if you think you'd like to work with me, please don't hesitate to contact me either by PM or other things, If needed you can ask everyone around that I always, always come through.

Sorry for the bump.

I'm using xbox 360 wireless controller and in the tutorial demo it doesn't seem to do anything. It says in the beginning the controller has been detected and it has 10 buttons. I skip those messages (with keyboard) and change rooms with keys 1-9 but in none of them my controller is able to work. It works normally, when I play games with it, so I'm guessing there's some kind of problem with it being compatible with AGS and the Joystick plugin... Any ideas? ( I assume it is possible normally to use it in the tutorial?).

EDIT: Tried different controller. It works. It seems only wired controllers are compatible for this.

Is there a reason why this is happening i just had the issue reported on my side. Also can anyone/Grim run a figurative test to see what values the axis and the buttons get? Any ideas?

Actually nevermind, they do work, the problem lies with the Steam Controller, which cannot be detected through XInput, any ideas on that, does anyone actually own one?
