Spoiler
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=29491.0

From this board's rules: DO NOT ask for hints for a game in its release thread. There is a separate forum for that purpose. Release threads are for comments and criticism only.

Sorry about that, but some of the videos seem a little frivelous in the game:

particularly the one of the three men of low moral fiber waking up

It resized itself in my screen, so the magic of the animation was kinda lost :/

Also, shouldn't a game company logo NOT contain scenes from a game that the company didn't make? (or entirely made up of scenes from said game....?)

Sorry this was done in purpose. Although the result was not what i was hoping for.  I must admit that I ripped many things. Arts, backgrounds characters but... IT"S my first game so I could not make it all my own since nobody from the community here was interested to help me.  And those videos are kind of a rip off.  This game was made by an adventure fan- a true rogue- although the result is not so good (except some parts of course).

About that key thing there is a txt file in the docs folder, named keys ,so you'll find all the shortcuts.
I 'd like to thank TROVATORE for his good words, honest. Thank you.

Well, IANAL, but it looks like this game breaches copyright left, right and centre... saying it is fan fiction and freeware and putting copyright notices in it doesn't mean you can use other people's work in your own... that's what copyright is for. Unless of course you are one of the original authors. If you are not, then you're breaking copyright law and Rapidshare's terms and conditions.

Anyway, aside from that, the bug is still not fixed. I looked at Wally, and it said "A pair of matches" (?). I went to pick him/them up and it crashed with the error mentioned above. When are we likely to see a working version?

Sorry for that double post but in order to answer your question please check the mi licence in the docs ok?

Are all the bgs ripped? I'm not wasting disk space if they are...

Look since I loved the MI2 I decided not to make my own scenes.
It was done in purpose.

I don't mind if you don't like it.
The big size is because of the videos

Hi my name is Jim and since I have 2 surnames i decided to take Dualnames as a nickname. Although it's not a word anyway.
I am very new to AGS but i begin to love it.
I started to use the program since  from a wide variety of programs I decided to keep only that. So from a magazine article about the Exhange student I decied to create a game. In the beginning I had many ideas. But from a great passion/ madness/ love that grows in within me for the Monkey Island series I decided to make a game about what happened to guybrush between 2 and 3.
At this time the game is 50% complete. And I am quite happy about it. But since the forum rules did not permit me to be helped by others since i was not complying with'em. My game won't have any chance of being ready before the new year.  So (not that i wanted to) it won't be in the coming awards. Not that I was making a game for that reason. Just for fun.

By the way If you think you are good at anything(art basically ) PM me or email me.
Thank You.

I want to use run-script on a dialog
but i don't know how to make this:
I want the game when I have 12 pieces of eight ( a Monkey Island game currency) to enable a dialog option
However the real problem is that you get for example 5 pieces when giving an object to someone, 4 when you unlock a box and 3 are given to you through a dialog.
PLEASE HELP ME.And by no means don't tell me to lokk the manual or technical forums cause i've done that already. Thank you.

About 12 days or somehing I decided to make a MI fan game.
The story takes place between 2 and 3.So what really happened there
I decided for emotional reasons to keep the MI 2 graphics so i remade (almost) Scabb Island and I am about to make Monkey IslandÃ,  but i need artwork you know 2d background pictures. The places are Herman's hideout, Pond, Deserted cannibal village, Monkey head etc.Plus I could use a good dialog writerÃ,  and an animator.
Here are the screenshots of Scabb Island

It looks exactly the same but as I explained that's the reason.

About the progress of the game i will split it in 2 parts
Scabb Island and Monkey
Scabb is 35% done
Monkey is 0%.
If this topic is locked then I am not the one that's not obeying the rules

AGS Games in Production / Creating a Mi game
Fri 01/12/2006 19:57:30
My game is based on what happened between Le Chuck's Revenge and curse of Monkey Island. So it's based on Big Whoop.
I need Background art resolution 320x200 2d.Since for reasons of nostalgia i choose that Guybrush would be like Mi2
I would like to have some background art about rollercoaster and stuff.
the game will only be based on Monkey Island and maybe Dinky
So the islands are not that many.I would like to make litttle strange like Mi 2 was.By the way for those that remember the Mi 2 ending could you tell me where to find Guybrush sprites (as a little kid not adult) and Le chuck's?(as a little kid too)

To summarise:
All those who are interested as 2d background artists may PM or e-mail me

Quote from: ManicMatt on Fri 17/11/2006 23:36:33MI2 ending with the big whoop theme park. Stupid stupid stupid.

Really? I loved that ending! That's like the only ending of an adventure game that stands out in my mind.

Now, the ending to MI3 ... what a nightmare. Although I thought the whole game was a pretty weak attempt at "explaining" MI2. Too bad we'll never no what Ron Gilbert was really thinking ....

I agree with that.Mi2 is the game i play over and over again because it's awesome Great Music very humorous and a le Chuck you are afraid of . Plus gathering the map pieces is a great motivation for playing the game. The ending is undescribable.

These days i am creating a game.I named it Monkey Island Carnival of the damned(so it's about what happened between 2 and 3).Since i am a bigger fan of Le Chucks revenge than the CMi i decided that the graphics should like Mi 2.
I don't mind if they look better but since guybrush is ripped off by MI2 you can't have backgrounds like MI4.

Ok so you have a test of what i need. If you care about joining my team please Pm or e-mail.i basically need carnival backrgounds you know theme parks , rollercoasters  and that stuff. So telling me where to get those images is also important

My first adventure was Escape from Mi
So i downloaded the other 2 and bought Curse
I loved all of them but one is a personal favourite
is MI2
Ok they were all perfect
It's my favourite game
but when i played 2 i  was stunned
Great music
One hell of an Ending
many laughs
(i like it when he jumps with the crossbar and he hear the Indy theme0
Plus very  strange
ex: when he opens the door and you see Mi 1
