Otherwise, having the characters swear (as in one screenshot, the cow says Fuck Off) would do nothing but taint the characters that others have tried hard establishing and others love. >:(
Considering the cow suit character sodomizes Davy Jones to death in 'Davy Jones c'est Mort'Ã,  the swearing shouldn't be too much of a problem.Ã,  ;)
But yeah, you should definitely give credit to the authors if it's not a RON game.

Tutoring
I'd be happy to get a little mentor-mentee relationship going.  I have a good knowledge of AGS and game development type issues.

Playtesting
I've read (as every beta tester should do ;) ) the beta testing article at A and I'll test your game, and tell you everything that's wrong with it.  I'll take a producers role if you'd like, or just look for bugs.  What ever you want.

Character Art
I can pull off a pretty good character, and I'll help you out with character art if ya want. I'm always experimenting with style, so whatever style you want, i'll give it a go.   I'll help you improve your sprites as well, with shading and crit and whatnot.

Animation / Character Animation
As long as it's not HUGE amounts of animation, I can help you out with this too

Coding / Scripting
I really enjoy scripting challenges, and pushing the boundarys of AGS, but I'll help you out with easy stuff as well.

I'll just add my Congrats on a really great game Kinoko.
The attitude of the main character really reminded me of "The chronicles of Thomas Covanant" well, except for the leprosy.  (actually I've only read half of the second book actually, so my impression of it is probably pretty scewed. )
The lack of motivation for the main character made for a truely refreshing adventure.

I finished this last night, and I really enjoyed it, the puzzles were a nice challenge =)
Spoiler
I needed help with that toolbox puzzle, that was tough.
And I laughed out loud when I scared the KKK away heh heh heh.

hello, and welcome.
I use paint shop pro mainly, but I used MOHO a bit in my last game, It's fun to use, but I'm no good at using vectors yet really so I havn't used it much.  It was surprisingly easy to import the anims into AGS too.

awww.. it didn't suck even a bit?  I guess I was generalising an awful lot.

But I think for a lot of people, the pressure of school, and parents/teachers telling you that what you do now affects the rest of your life, coupled with the pressures of school social life can often overwhelm you.  I think I was the opposite of you AGA, I worried about everything, and stressed way too much.  But still couldn't find motivation to work.  I often wished that some massive EMG would go off, and everyone would just have to go back to the good ol' huntin' and gatherin' age.

But then again that's just me.  Everyone's different.
I'm much more layed back now, and I wished I'd had the hindsight I have now 5 years ago.

Heh heh, Ironic that I'm procrastinating right now, I'd better get back to the grind  ::)

I agree, at 15 no-one has a perfect image of what they want to do, I doubt most people have any idea at all.  I know I didn't.
The people at my school that had no problem with motivation, and got incredible results, thought they knew exactly what they wanted to do with the rest of their life.  But most of the ones I've talked to in the 4 years since have dropped out of uni, or changed their course (or program, or whatever you Americans call it.)

What I'm trying to say, is that, even if you DID want to become a lawyer right now, and had all the motivation to do so, the odds are you'll change your mind in the next few years anyway.

Being a teenager sucks (unless you're a mindless jock or teeny-bopper type) it's just a crappy part of life that you'll someday get through and be stronger for it.  Keeping your options open is always good, but don't burn yourself out.

meh, I don't think I've helped at all, you should probably ignore what i've said... Punch the wall and swear loudly.  That always helps me =)

This is incredibly useful, and is very easy to get into as well, I've made a couple of dialogs in half the time it'd normally have taken me.

A suggestion: With the option-off and option-on, it often takes me a few tries to get the right option number when I've got quite a few in the dialog.  Do you think it could be possible to have it so that after typing 'option-off ' you can click the option you'd like to turn off, and it will insert the number. (And the same thing for 'option-on')

Or if that's too hard to implement, you could display the number of the option next to the name in the chart to make it easier.

cheers,

Sure, we'd all like to see it!    But i'm sure we'd all prefer it if the same amount of effort was put into a totally original game, or even a remake of a game that needs it. What people are saying is that the effort involved may not be worth the gain in the end.

I have noting more to add this this conversation except to say that all you cool bastards that put my games into the banners will have a special place in squinky's funky loving afterlife....
I concur most vehemently =)

yup, Good Santa, Bad Santa. First time I drew on a computer too.

The first background I used in AGS was the garden photo in duzzquest, but the first one I drew was this:

You can press 'c'  to bypass it.
I've uploaded a walkthrough on my site here

I tried to make it pretty easy, your player should be able to outrun the computer character, plus he doesn't move diagonally, and can't kick it hard (and sometimes he just goes nuts and scores a goal for you :P)
But if you're really having trouble, the key 'c' will end the game prematurely.  So if you press it at the start you'll have an instant draw.

I played Rode Kill first, or perhaps perminent daylight, but didn't know they were AGS games then.  I first downloaded AGS after playing QFG4.5
